Activities: Lannis

" Lovely pool "
Submitted By: R DoyleThe rooms were basic - only 2 plates and he cupboards were uneven but the maid came everyday and the room was kept nice and clean. The swimming pool was lovely and there's an onsite shop as well, the pool bar wasn't great but as it's only 10 mins wak to the beach it's much nicer to walk over there and have lunch near the sea instead. Overall it was a nice quiet relaxing holiday and I'd defiately recommend it.
Also the trip to playa blanca and el golfo was good value and really worth visiting whilst your there.

" Best Holiday Ever "
Submitted By: Dannielle.mccreaThere are quite a few apartments on the complex and some are situated quite away from the main hotel, we were in apartment 405 which was brilliant location, try and ask for this. Its only 1 bedroom but the bedroom is a good size and the front room and kitchen are really nice. The TV is coin opperated at 1 Euro per hour but your not there to watch TV!
I cant understand why people wrote bad reviews on this place, we will definitely be going again.
The Town centre is about a 15 minute walk but its a nice one, we got taxis back of a night time but it never cost more than 4 Euros.
We went on the volcano trip which was really good and cost just over 40 Euros each. If u go for the wine tasting part of it dont bother, you get a choice of a shot of sweet or dry and leave 10 mins later and the lunch that you go for which isn't included in the price isn't too good either.
Try and get to the lighthouse bar/restaurant. Gemma and the rest of the staff that work there are all really nice. The other restaurants in the area are all really nice and reasonably priced
Advice: A Brilliant place to go!

" Fab Holiday! "
Submitted By: hels0794There is a new Manager, & he's very keen to impress. Maid visited everyday, clean bedding several times & towels every other day. Kids club (Thomas Cook) Fab. No Cockroaches (Visited Los Zocos last year & had loads in room)
This was a relatively cheap holiday, so we didn't expect 5*, this was much better than expetced, & we were all sorry to leave (The towels are abit thin though!)

Submitted By: Chrsi HughesWe booked this holday via teletext ,Holiday.com over the telephone.
The apartments were reccommended by the agent. After booking we read the reviews and were concerned,so we contacted the agent who advised us to ignore the reviews as the aprtments were lovely, the manager confirmed this, as he had just returned from inspecting the complex. We were duped,or the manager must have low standards. These apartments are definately not 3 star.
The complex and apartments are very run down.Other guests we spoke to were also very unhappy with the complex.
The curtains, seat coverings, mattress covers are very worn. The bathroom is very dated with a very shabby shower curtain. The furniture was very uncomfortable due to age and I am glad that we did not have children with us as the bedsettee was very uncomfortable and the mattress cover was dirty. The oven had no shelves. The balcony had paint peeling and marks running down the walls.Television reception is poor unless you enjoy "Movies for men"£1 per hour.
The reception does not create a good impression due to the decor, the Perspex ceiling has yellowed with age,the whole reception area would be greatly improved if they were painted a differant colour, instead of nicotine yellow.Reception staff did not appear to be very happy, perhpas it was their dismal surroundings.
We did not use the entertainment area as it was not very nice and in a dark basement and people smoking, in what, is an enclosed area.
The pool was dirty on some days,it appears the filters were not working or blocking up.The eyesore in the middle of the pool, was apparently a fountain which has been obsolete for sometime. Sun beds were broken or dirty follwoing the rain.
Security is an issue that requires looking at.We were unable to keep the bedroom window open, as the stairs to the upper apartment was along side it.One night we were in bed and a youth pulled back the curtain and was half inside,we shouted and he ran off.If we had been asleep it would have been very easy to have entered and stolen goods. We had to keep the window closed for the rest of the holdiay.
One couple with young children in fact, had money taken from their room and we saw the police at the apartments on several occasions. This has never happened in other holdiay complex that we have stayed at.
There did not appear to be much entertainment for adults or the children,in June of this year we travelled with our granddaughter arranged by Thomson to Oasis Papagayo in Fuertventura, the apartments and complex were lovely, if you have children the entertainment and the reps are fantastic, and the price differance was minimal.Perhaps Thomas Cooke agents should visit this complex to see what is an acceptable standard of accommodation and entertainment.Added to this and the flight being delayed by approx.5 hours outward and inward, luggage being redirected to Gatwick on purpose(instead of Cardiff) we do noth think that we will travel with Thomas Cooke again.
We are glad we hired a car so we could at least escape, poor people who had to stay there.
Costa Teiguise itself is nice, but we have visited far better locations in Spain.

The apartments were very basic but they were spacious. We didn't care too much about the decor as we were only there to sleep and thankfully we didn't see any cockroaches. There were lots of cats that would follow you back to the apartment or come up to you while you're sitting around the pool - we didn't see this as a negative as others have, on the contrary we thought it was quite nice.
We were self catering and I was pleased about this as I would have been extremely disappointed if I'd gone all inclusive. We didn't eat in the restaurant there, as we preferred to go into the resort itself where we ate in a couple of good places. The evening entertainment at teguisol is dire but the daytime kids club gets 10/10.
One of the reasons we had such a great time is because of the way things are set up for kids - our two are 9 and 6. The complex is quite small and so they soon got to know other children which meant they had a good time. there is a kids pool which we sat around during the day. Although the pool was freezing it didn't seem to put the kids off and they had a ball. The kids club was run by Krissie who was absolutely fantastic.
We did a couple of day trips - the volcano park was good as was the wild west place but we thought the market was a rip off. The weather when we went was generally good although it was chilly at night so don't forget your fleeces if you go in Feb! The beach was too windy, and the kids didn't like it, so we tended to stay by the pool - the resort isn't known as breezy Teguise for nothing!
all in all we had a great time. if you want all inclusive or great on site entertainment then I wouldn't recommend this, however if you want to be able to relax by the pool while the kids play with other kids then you will be fine.
