Went with my partner & had an amazing, relaxing time!
Apartments spacious & quiet - very clean with regular maid service!
One enormous pool, if a little chilly at the time of year we went..!!! On the other side of the coin, we never had problems getting a sunbed! There was one smaller pool for kids with poolside bars serving cheap food & drink throughout the day!!
Very lively at night with a lot of children’s entertainment (also lots of kids things to do throughout the day!! ) & activities like karaoke & the like!
Beach is less than a ten minutes walk away - very windy as its a surfers beach but also very quiet so you are able to find your own private spot for sunbathing & relaxing afternoons!
As well as the hotel restaurants, pool bar & well-stocked supermarket - a short walk away is the shopping centre which many quiet intimate bars & restaurants.
This location is perfect for couples or families who want a clean, fun & relaxing holiday. I wouldn’t recommend this to any young same-sex groups - far too quiet & the lack of things to do for this age group may cause boredom for those unwilling to hire a car.

Excellent transfer time - 15 mins and into our apartment 5 mins later. No problems with check in at all and our 2nd floor apartment was clean and well equipped.
On booking this holiday I was a tad anxious after reading some of the feed back left by other visitors but I needn't have worried.
The pools are salt water but getting a sunbed was never a problem. The children’s pool is the best for catching all the sun. The water was checked in both pools at least twice whilst we were there.
The staff are really friendly but cannot comment on the Sunset reps as we didn't take advantage of using them as we were only there for a week to chill. The supermarket and bar on site are okay but much cheaper to use the local bars and supermarket only 10 mins away.
On the whole Costa Teguise is a great place and totally safe to let teenagers off the leash to have a good time. We would definitely go back for some winter sunshine.
Don't believe all you read on these sites - you have to go and make up your own mind and I am glad that’s just what we did.

This was the first time I travelled to Lanzarote. The journey to the hotel was around fifteen minutes from the airport. On arriving to the hotel Teguisol, reception handed us a map .The hotel has little slopes for your cases to run down as you find your room. A bit tricky in the dead of night. The supermarket is very handy for closeness and the gift shop has lots of tacky trinkets that you can bring your friends back. I thought the rooms were kept very clean on a regular basis. The kitchen was equipped with microwave and large fridge freezer.
You can also rent hairdryers, irons etc at reception. They have a toddler pool which is set away from the larger pool (no big children jumping on your wee bairns). The main beach is a ten, fifteen minutes walk and costs around 400 Euros for a sunbed each .I would advise you to jump in a taxi if you want to go down to Centro at night, reception will phone you one. This is one of a few squares which have great pubs and restaurants. Ask at the Wild Thistle pub for recommendations. All in all I had a great holiday, so I have booked to go back again. Might see you!!!!

Fantastic family holiday, but not for a younger crowd looking for a lively holiday.
The apartments are very spacious and clean, but could do with a bit of freshening up, as the chairs, towels, curtains, etc looked a bit tired. We did run out of water a couple of times, but hey, if that’s a problem for you, don’t go to a hot country!
The pools are very large and very clean, and the buffet restaurant serves a great variety of food, and even lets you know a day in advance what is on. There is also a dish from a different country every night that is not shown on the menu which gave us a few pleasant surprises.
The staff are incredibly helpful, and the resort had no less than 9 reps (2 reps, 4 kids reps, & 3 entertainment reps) on site almost all the time, so in the event that you do have a problem (and lets face it, we almost always do at some point on holiday), there is always someone, hotel staff or rep, ready to sort it out quickly and with a smile.
Special mention to the entertainment team - Vicki Stratford, Adam Picket, and (Jenga) Jo (sorry, can't remember your surname) were brilliant, and turned a good holiday into a fantastic holiday.

We booked this accommodation at last minute on recommendation from the very helpful young lady at Thomas Cook.
We flew with Thomas Cook Airlines, and the flight both outbound and inbound was very prompt. However is was the most cramped flight ever experienced with very little legroom offered
Accommodation:
On arrival at the resort again like the previous reviewer, we were astounded to find only one person on the reception area with approx. 50 people trying to book into the hotel. Once through this hurdle we found our allocated room and got settled.
The apartment was disgusting. The bathroom was dirty, again with brown stains all down the tiles and some of the tiles missing. The so called clean towels were a dirty white colour, and barely looked as though they had been washed. The shower did not work properly and the chromium plating on the shower nozzle handle was so cracked that parts of it got embedded in my hand. The beds were uncomfortable at best, and the sofa bed was held together with wooden planks. The self catering facilities were sparse and even basics like drying up cloths and washing up brushes were not provided.
The general decor of the complex was poor and tired and in need of a good paint and refurbishment.
The accommodation does cater for children, but that is all. If you are a couple or a group of people do not even think or bother staying at this complex
The pool is a salt water pool and is kept in good condition, but gets crowded and is noisy with all the games going on.
We were told that no late check out room was available so we and approx 150 other people had to vacate there rooms by 10am. Thursdays appears to be the turn around day for the Teguisol apartments and most flights are evening flights. You are offered a half hour slot (If you book in time) in a small shower room, but with 150 other people plus suitcases everywhere this is just a joke. The hotel reception is then just crammed with bodies and cases all afternoon.
This was certainly the worst complex we have ever stayed at and would never entertain going back. If you are a couple or a group of girls/lads, don’t bother staying here.

Holiday in General:- We were allocated a second floor Apt in the resort. On arrival to Apt everything seemed ok although basic and could do with lick of paint, however this was to change in next few days.
Water was constantly running out and was end of season , so god knows what it was like high season, no maid service for 4 days or towels changed, stuff was coming back up through bath and bathroom stunk. but worst of all WE HAD ROOM BROKEN INTO AND ALL MONEY TAKEN AND VALUABLES. Someone had used a key and gained access to room. Other guests had safety deposit boxes emptied and a few had their rooms done as well. Rep advised that there was a theft problem there, but I bet they don’t tell you that at welcome meeting. As for the Reps they are utterly useless unless you are 5-10yearsold and in kids club. Entertainment is naff and you have to go down a flight of stairs 30 anyway with prams buggies etc to see the stuff.
Food in restaurant is ok, but could do with a change in variety as there is only so much chicken and chips you can eat. Off resort there are plenty of restaurants on sea-front and a cracking Chinese restaurant on main road heading to the centre Hochi Min.
Definitely won’t be back to this so called “FAMILY RESORT” not worth the money which gets nicked anyway..

Flight - Our flight with First Choice Was horrible. The seats were so cramped in and uncomfy that even though on the way home it was night you could not sleep. On the flight home I got a cold as air conditioning sent round everyone’s germs.
Arrival - Upon arrival I was shocked to see one person on reception, especially when there was a plane full of people there. We were given a map to see where we had to go, which was confusing as it didn’t show the floors separately.
Rooms - Our room was horrible. The bathroom was filthy and had brown marks all over the tiles. The towels were ripped and the sofa bed was really uncomfortable. Over all our room was tiered and needed re-decorating.
Resort - The resort was ok, but to get a sunbed you had to get up really early. The pool was filthy and once or twice you saw a *** floating by. And the staff took so long to come to get it out that a holidaymaker had to go in and catch it with a bag. Also there was a yellow line in the pool from where people had **** in it.
Food - Once off the resort the food was disgusting. One place in particular, no names mentioned, served up muck. The pizza was floppy, the veg was tinned, the chips were nearly raw and they charged 2 euros for a roll that you didn’t ask for. Alot of other places did this too, Many serving portions so small that a 10 year old would have wanted more.
Entertainment - Although they worked really hard, the entertainment was aimed at children up to 8. It was obsessed with kids, and all night it was " DJ JO HIT THAT BUTTON" and kids screaming. I am 12, and would loved to have been included in the kids club. If given the option I would gladly have helped out. Also around the pool the entertainers became a real pain. If they learnt your name you were in trouble. They would go on and on at you till you either joined in or said something rude.
Overall it was not a good holiday. If the barstaff thought you were pretty then you got free drinks, but if not you paid full price.

AIRPORT TRANSFER/CHECK IN
The transfer was fairly quick and when we arrived at the apartments we were checked in quickly by the very friendly reception staff.
ACCOMODATION
We were allocated two ground floor apartments next door to each other and we couldn't believe how spacious they were. We had a good size twin bedroom with a large wardrobe, a fairly big bathroom with shower and bath, a large kitchen/dining/living area with sofa bed and a big patio with enough furniture and a clotheshorse.
The apartment as a whole was spotless and the maids cleaned regularly, the sheets were changed every second day or so and the towels were changed on the same day. The patio was also mopped nearly every day. The kitchen was fairly well equipped with grill, hob, kettle and toaster.
On arrival our friends had no cutlery but the reception staff sorted that out straight away. The pathways around the complex were well kept and lined with well tended to flowers. The area around the pool was pretty clean apart from the odd selfish people who left their cigarette ends lying around the place. There was a big pool for the adults and another good-sized pool for children. The pool was however salt water, which made it slightly unpleasant to swim in.
There is a bar beside both the kiddie’s pool and the adult pool. The on site supermarket is ok but if you walk about 5 minutes down the road you will come across a Netto, which is better stocked and cheaper. There were happy hours in the downstairs bar at night while the entertainment was on however there was no air conditioning downstairs and this made it far too hot. There was a sort of buffet restaurant and a Chinese restaurant but we never ate at either or these so can’t comment on them.
There were also two tennis courts which you could hire tennis rackets for, and you could also play football on them as their were goalposts and there was a small children’s playground. These could be found if you go out the back entrance to the complex. The complex was very clean and we only saw one cockroach in the complex in the whole fortnight. However, there were a few cats that went around and although they were pretty friendly and harmless one did chase us hissing one night! and one morning we got up and there was a cat sitting bold as brass in our sink, it had obviously crept in the open patio doors!
STAFF
The staff at the Teguisol were very friendly over all. The entertainment team of Vikki, Lexi and Millie worked very hard to keep everyone entertained all day from 11am till midnight and did things like football, water aerobics, killer darts, muscle man competitions as well as getting local performers in at night.
We asked our JMC rep how to get to the national park and she was very rude and abrupt with us and that was the only time we used her. If you want to know something like that ask the reception staff who are only too happy to help, or ask one of the entertainment team who will help you out. The cleaners worked hard and never seemed to interrupt you when they came to clean the apartment. Also, the gardeners seemed to work hard keeping the flowerbeds looking fantastic.
RESORT
The resort of Costa Teguise is very clean and has a whole host of restaurant and it really has something for everyone! The beaches are white and very clean and the sea is clear blue and pretty shallow. You have to pay for sunbeds and they were I think around 4 euros for two sunbeds but I’m not too sure about that.
There is a windsurfing school just off the beach on the walkway and there is also the Calypso diving school that do either 1 day or 2-day scuba diving courses. In the small square behind the Las Cucharas shopping centre there are these fantastic trampoline things were you are hooked up to big laggy band things and they ping you in the air (these are great fun for all the family try it!)
If you follow the walkway round the beach you come to more restaurants and there is a wee arcade and also a mini bowling alley, which is good. Most restaurants that we ate in were nice and were reasonably priced. Our favourite was in the wee square behind the shopping centre and it’s called the Columbus, the food is brilliant, staff are great, entertainment top class and the cocktails are wicked! They even do lovely fruit ones for the kids!
Lanis is also nice and if you go out the front entrance of the complex and walk down the hill you pass a wee sports bar which show all kinds of sports(we watched Wimbledon in there and Euro 2004) and is nice for a light lunch if you don’t fancy walking away into the resort centre. Another nice sports bar is two along from the bowling alley upstairs, I can’t remember the name of it sorry but the owner was a very friendly Liverpudlian and they serve the HUGEST mixed grill we have ever seen in our lives!
There is a wee cove bit at the beach in front of the Teguise Playa hotel (the big occidental one) that is really good for snorkelling. In the old square there is loads of nice wee shops and restaurants in particular the one to the side of the bar with all the pirates hanging off it (can’t remember the name again!) that do lovely fajitas. We went to the national park, which was a good day out, Puerto Del Carmen which is more lively and good for shopping, and we went on the submarine at Puerto Calero, it’s ok but at 48 euros per adult a little over priced!
Also went to Playa Blanca which is lovely and also El Golfo (the lagoon) which was a total disappointment but the village is ok, stunning views, but nowhere to eat if you hate seafood. All in all we had a FANTASTIC holiday, our best ever, accommodation brilliant and resort great. Have fun!

On arrival reps were very pleasant and told us everything we needed to know.
We were allocated to room 107, the apartment was very clean and spacious, the balcony was enormous, would of been great for kids.
The apart hotel was clean and tidy.
The pool was ice cold, I only went in the once and never again, did not like the salt water in the pool.
The entertainment team were fantastic, really friendly!
Everyday there was entertainment around the pool side with activities such as quizzes, killer pool, killer darts and much more, oh and the u-bet challenge which was really fun.
The food in the buffet restaurant wasn't great, a big selection but not very hot. The Chinese restaurant and The cave restaurant on site are really nice and when you are half board you get discount in the Chinese restaurant.
The supermarket on site is very convenient but the staff are rude and the prices on the shelves end up being different when scanned.
The complex isn't situated directly in the resort but only a 10-15 minute walk to the beach and shops.
Overall i found the holiday fantastic, it was the sunset entertainment team who really made it though, without them it would of been fairly poor.
