Just returned from a lovely two week holiday with our friends staying at the Teguisol. Just a few niggles which I will start with as below:
We stayed in a large duplex style 2 bed apartment. The towels were horrible, holey with plucks. They felt strange so that you could not dry yourself properly. (Take extra towels because when we asked for a change, they were the same poor quality).
Also, the bathrooms need updating. We had mould on the ceiling and rust on the bath and hand rails. Having read previous reviews we went on holiday armed with cleaning materials so we cleaned the mould ourselves! (Then we knew it would be done to our satisfaction).
Apart from this no problems and although the apartment furniture was basic and old, it was in no way a problem and there was lots of space. (Room 661). Our friends next door in 662 I have to mention did not have any mould, so slightly better with just a bit of rust on the bath.
In my opinion the cleaners, gardeners, pool workers and staff worked really, really hard and there is just too many apartments to maintain to a high standard or lack of funds, however, they worked consistently to a high standard which was another reason why we did our own 'housework' and mopped the floors every day. (Being a very windy island it is so hard to keep the floors clean and you end up with black feet if not mopped regularly).
Enough of my whinges because there was so many good points:-
Size of main pool, very big (just freezing cold even in August!). Kiddies pool quite large.
Lovely maintained pretty gardens.
Nice outside pool bar and Chinese restaurant.
We were half board and the food was fine, maybe a bit repetitive but a very good choice and something for everyone. Drinks reasonably priced too.
Location: An 8 minute walk to a lovely non-commercialised beach crossing over a very quiet road. Busier beach along the way but just as lovely. Great for snorkeling and paddling/swimming.
Shops/restaurants about 10-12 minute walk away but no problems as lovely to have a walk in the evenings after dinner.
Ate out a few times, no problems, really reasonable and good quality food.
Trips: Jeep safari and Fire Mountain, plus Sunday market and bus ride to Puerto Del Carmen - all well recommended and trips to remember.

Brilliant Holiday I met lots of nice friends which made the holiday even better the entertainment team were really cheery and interacted with us young people on our level they were basically big kids especially Dan who showed us all the nice bars to go to, I am 18 by the way a very immature one at that. I can’t miss out Donna and Kate very cheery and out going with every 1 Amazing people to be around.
Apartment 105 my girlfriend and I stayed in was very spacious with a cooker, sink, microwave, fridge and freezer for our self catering basis.
Not 1 bad thing to say about the holiday!

This was the first time that we have been to Lanzarote (from 20.7.06 - 4.8.06). We were very worried after reading all the reviews but were glad that we did not cancel our holiday. We stayed in room 668.
The apartment was very spacious and light, with a sea view and a very large kitchen. It was cleaned every other day with clean towels which actually smelt quite nice. The staff were very nice and pleasant- unfortunately it was the British holiday makers that were quite ignorant, but I would say not all. Met some very nice people on this holiday. What can I say about the entertainment, it was absolutely wonderful. Dan, Donna and Kate were brilliant. To say the least, it was a wonderful holiday.
Would go back to this hotel. Only went in the pool once as others always used to reserve lounges which they were not supposed to. This needs to be sorted out.

I was dreading this holiday from the beginning, most of the reviews I read seemed to slate it.
We arrived at the apartments at 9.30pm, it took about 20mins to check in, the staff give you a easy to read map to direct you to your apartment.
We stayed in room 322 on the second floor it had a pool view, it was very clean and smelt fresh, the cooking facilities where very good all the things you would expect, cooker, microwave, pots and pans, tin opener, cutlery, plates and a fridge freezer
The room was cleaned nearly every day with fresh linen and towels, also they provide you with toilet paper, but I found it very cheap so I bought my own from the on site supermarket which sell every thing you will need, they also bake fresh bread in the supermarket every day which is lovely.
I have 2 kids and found the entertainment very good, always something to do for them the kids club reps with Thomas Cook are excellent they take the kids away to the day room to give you some time to your self.
Overall we enjoyed the holiday and have booked up to go again in 2007 this time for 2 weeks, the reps Donna and Sharon kept us entertained from 11am with quizzes and games until 6 and then from 8-9pm with the kids disco then 9-late with the adult time, never a dull time in the apartment or out on the town I would recommend these apartments to any one with children.
When we left it was a 9pm flight so we booked a late check out with Thomas Cook so we could stay in the room till 6pm instead of 11am, this only cost 22 pound which is worth it, it saves you spending the day in the lobby of the apartment and gives you some where to cook instead of eating out on your last day.
Overall 10/10. Can’t wait to go back.

Hotel had lots to do for the children, 2 pools, kids club and nightly entertainment. Rooms were not good. They were very basic, and I think due to the time of year that we traveled at had not been inhabited prior to our arrival that year, therefore they were a little smelly. The mattresses smelled.
The resort itself was ok. Beaches were lovely, and safe for the kids. Food in the resort was poor, impossible to find much decent Spanish food. If you went for chicken and chips and kebabs you would be fine.
Stay away from both lamis canteen and lamis tex mex. Food and service awful and I was really ill after eating in the canteen. Good food could be found in the little more traditional Spanish fishing villages.

We have just arrived back form what has been our best holiday ever. To be honest with you we did have mixed views on this hotel after reading all the reports, we are glad we didn't cancel the holiday.
Our room was room 117 a 1 bedroom apartment, it was cleaned 9 times in our 2 weeks stay also the towels and linen were changed 6 times in the 2 weeks, no complaints there eh.
We had no cockroaches or ants in the apartment but did notice some outside,
The food was good always a good choice but the pudding did get a bit repetitive
There were 2 swimming pools both salt water which did nip the eyes a bit and bleach the swimwear (used old t-shirts on your kids).
The entertainment was brilliant and I think that’s what made our holiday ,from 11am till midnight there was something going on .Donna Dan and Kate did a really good job keeping everyone happy, our little boy Scott really enjoyed the kids disco, and "more tea vicar"
I think on the whole it all boils down to , you only get what you pay for , if you want a 5* hotel you need to pay for it. We are booking to go back next year, that’s how much we enjoyed our holiday.
So please be open minded when reading these reviews, not everyone has the same tastes or values as yourself.

I had read reports which were not very good about this hotel, but I tried to go with an open mind, different people have different taste, but I hate to say that the bad reports were true!
The towels were grey meant to be white and although we appreciate cockroaches do exist in these parts, you never think you will find 7 in your apartment and one actually crawled over my wife, she was terrified!
We reported them twice and on the second reporting of them we were moved, but then we had very noisy neighbours and you could hear them at 4am being sick using the loo arguing shouting which after several nights of not sleeping because of cockroaches in your room you could do without!
We've stayed in more basic accommodation yet cleaner and better maintained we'd never go back there. We needed another holiday by the time we got back. We didn’t think the food was too bad but no real choice for kids and it was the same thing every other night.

Went to the Teguisol for 2 weeks in June, and had a really good holiday. We had a lovely big apartment looking over the children’s pool. The apartment had an up-stairs bedroom and bathroom, and same down stairs which was ideal with five of us getting showers on an evening.
The apartments were very basic, but clean enough, just need updating a bit. The cleaners came nearly every other day and left clean towels as well. Did not use the kids club or see the entertainment so cannot comment on them. The pool area was nice though, and the kids pool was very big. Food was nice on an evening lots of choice, breakfast not as nice. The only down side was that the Teguisol is quite a walk to the shops and bars, and with a 4 year old it was quite a way, but would not have bothered us other wise.
The weather in Lanzarote was beautiful the first week, not so good the second, cloudy and rained twice. But there is lots to see and do in Costa Teguise. We had an enjoyable holiday all in all though.

Was very worried about staying in these apartments as some of the write up i read put me of, but it was all wrong. We had an excellent time the resort its was very clean, the cleaners came nearly every day to clean and change towels and bedding.
The reps were absolutely fantastic they kept us entertain day and night and every one was so friendly, its a resort which is better for families or people looking for a relaxing holiday with activities that are there if you want to join in, we will go again sometime soon.

Every review was not brilliant, but we found the Teguisol apartments absolutely fine. The rooms are large and have ample facilities.
The pools were clean and while the rooms needed a little bit of decoration they were clean and tidy and had every thing you needed. My mother and 3 small children had no complaints and we had a fantastic holiday in Costa Teguise, and would go back to the apartments again with no worries.
There was no noise and plenty of space a supermarket on site and plenty of outdoor space for other activities for the children. Good value for money.

Although my fiancée & I had a good holiday, we would not consider going to this accommodation or this resort again.
The apartment wasn’t exactly dirty but it was the worst I have stayed in while on holiday abroad. The balcony looked like it hadn’t been swept or mopped in a while and the walls were in real need of a good wipe down, although the bathroom and kitchen area were ok. We were also kept awake and woken up a few times by noise from neighbouring apartments, the walls, ceilings and floors must be wafer thin because we could hear everything and I mean everything! The pool and pool area was very nice as was the on site pub.
The best thing about this accommodation was the entertainment team, they worked tirelessly day and night to entertain everyone adults and children.
Overall, for what we paid it wasn’t too bad, but considering we went to Fuerteventura last year and stayed in a spotless apartment which wasn’t affected by noise and was everything this accommodation wasn’t for less money. Something really should be done.

We booked this holiday then made the mistake of checking it out on this site lol. To say we were apprehensive is putting it mildly however, to our surprise it was one of the best holidays we have ever had.
On arrival we had a problem with our allocated room which was on the ground floor and felt more like a dungeon as it was actually lower ground. After requesting another room at reception our problem was dealt with quick enough and efficiently.
We were eventually given room number 277 which was at the back of the pool area, a good spot as we were not disturbed by late comers at night and considering we have a 3 year old this was quite handy lol
The room was cleaned on a daily basis and linen and towels changed every couple of days which we found very good. Pool area wasn't the cleanest I have seen but it was passable. Both pools were clean if not overly salty (best 2 keep your mouth shut whilst in there) lol
Entertainment was superb for families, Dan, Kate and Donna were great at keeping kids and adults amused - u even get used to the head song eventually! (We made the mistake of buying our 3 year old the cd).
Only thing I would say is the shop assistants are not friendly at all on site even if you do try and speak to them.
If you love shopping and get the chance you have to go to the market it's huge and u will never see it all in 3 hours.
All in all this was a great holiday and we would go back there next year.
