Me and my mum went to stay at the Silchoro apartments self catering for 2 weeks but had but had to shorten our stay to 1 week only as mum had a accident in the coffee shop and hurt all her knee. We think this maybe due to young children coming in from the pool with wet feet... more

Friendly, clean apartments, good location to the strip, all helped to make this late deal trip good value for money. Do not recognise some of the negative comments in other reviews don't know if we were just lucky. Would recommend the hotel and would return. We also loved the old town and found the regular beach bus from the Silchoro a pleasant bonus. Worth taking one of the many boat trips on offer, particularly small boats from old town beach. Hi my names amy im 18 and went to these apartments on the 1st May 2005, when we arrived we were totally shocked and not expecting the apartments to be so good, because it was the beginning of the season everything had been re-done, the paint on the hotel was new, yellow and white, looked great and very clean, the pool was fantastic very clean and there was also a small shallow childrens pool, both had depth markings- very good! there were 13 of us who went to portugal for euro2004,some of us have been to alburfiera before. silchoro apts were located near the strip at the top end ,only a few mins walk.apts very clean so were grounds and pool.the "bird bar" run by fatima in the evenings was great, she looked after her punters very well ,drinks were cheap and surroundings very good if not a bit warm inside.apts are on a road which was a bit noisy -especially when portugal beat england-but you soon got used to it, views were great , could see the sea. recomend. more

Stayed in the Silchoro apartments for a week at the begining of October 2004. Had no complaints about the place at all but the on site shop was basic and as it was towards the end of the season, with little stock, but plenty of other supermarkets close by. Spent 2 weeks at the Silchoro, arrived back on the 18th Sept 2004. We were a group of 4 adults of which one was disabled in a wheelchair. My fiancee and i spent 2 weeks in this resort 6 years previously so knew roughly what to expect of the area, but we stayed in a different hotel. After booking the holiday through Dedicated Holidays and reading their blur and other previous reviews, we were expecting basic with nice pool which is exactly what we got! The holiday started of good!! We arrived at our apartments and had high hopes!!! All that was shattered when we finally got to our room to discover TWO building sites right next to our apartment! There was drilling at 7:30AM and then constant noise all day!!! We decided to ignore this, as most of our time would be spent out of the apartment!!! Stayed here for two weeks with friends last summer this is a great hotel with a lovely pool area. the resteraunt is very good with a wide variety of good food. the staff are very helpful and the rooms are cleaned daily.

we arrived at 1.30 am to be greeted by a friendly english speaking receptionist. we asked for a top floor appt. and that is what we got. quite sparcely decorated but with all the essentials but it was HUGE . big entrance hall with a bedroom and bathroom then into the living area with kitchen and balcony, through doors leading off into another bedroom with en suite and connecting balcony. with two teenage girls a second bathroom was a godsend.maid service six days a week very nice. all the staff were friendly and polite.... more
