We stayed at the Mar Ola 1 in September 06 and for the class of hotel it is we were pleased. Rooms were clean and relatively comfortable, nice decor and plenty of space. The kitchenette was fine, enough space for 2 people only cooking occasionally. Pool was nice enough although the water wasnt in great condition towards the end of our 2 week stay. The poolside bar was ok, although the menu is very basic. Aside from that hotel was fine. The location wasnt great but still within walking distance to restaurants, bars and clubs, although there was a small selection of resteraunts near-by - would recomend the spanish one on the corner on the same side as Mar Ola and the Little Italy opposite would NOT recommend the chinese directly opposite! We did pay over the odds for it though - 460 in late season, for this hotel is a bit overpriced, but that was our mistake.

2 adults and 1 child-age 21, 24 and 2 me and a few friends stayed in mar ola 2 in 2000 and really enjoyed our stay, so recently i decided to take my new wife and young child there for a week. the room was ok not as i remembered it due to our balcony facing the street rather than the pool, but overall it was ok. my wife found it a bit clicky with people there but i didnt. as this time i wasnt out drinking we were going to bed early for our childs sake but at around 9pm when people are getting ready to go out there is alot of noise and again in the small hours when its club kick out time. so if you are wanting a quiet night dont stay here inless your garranteed the top floor.
Good points and bad from BEAUT
3 of us stayed here in June 2006, the hotel was very clean and the staff were quite helpful, the only problem was we stuck nxt door to a horribel woman who complained when our music was on an average volume (bearing in mind it was only 3pm in the afternoon and your on holiday!) The staff warned us about this which i thought was a bit unfair. But otherwise wasn't too bad a hotel!
Mar Ola 2 - Very Good from ENNIWA
We have just returned from 2 weeks at the Mar Ola 2 apartments. The one bedroomed apartment we had was very nice. It has a nice view of the pool area and was clean. The room was cleaned on a regular basis and we found all the staff to be polite and helpful. The sun loungers were a bit delapidated and many were split but overall the pool area was kept as clean as possible. There was a good mix of age groups at the hotel from families to young groups and older couples. We found the location of these apartments to be very well located as they were well situated between Los Cristianos and Las Americas. These apartments are a good base for a holiday to Tenerife!

Read a few reviews before holiday and was quite worried as was travelling there with 2 children aged 2 and 10 but mar ola 2 is ok yes its basic but its clean and staff are friendly and helpful room was ok quite big and had double balcony not much noise from other rooms and the young groups of people there were very nice and made my children feel welcome pool side bar is not too expensive and happy hour is good as its 2 for 1 which always goes down well only downside is that yes there are quite a few broken sunbeds but looking at mar ola 1 i think these will be replaced shortly. The apartments are located between los cristianos and playa de las americas (the vistas area) beach is nice and you can walk all the way from los cristianos to centre of playa de las americas along sea front which is very nice in the evening. Weather was absolutley fantastic a bit of a heatwave was experienced and pool side temp one day reached 116 so all in all was a good holiday and would return again

just returned for the mar ola 1 apatments. we booked this holiday through going places (airtours) and were told that this is a 3 star hotel which it clealy is not. (it has 2 stars from the tourist board as advertised on the doors.) The rooms are ok with a decent size balcony, kitchen with 3 rings, fridge and toaster, a safe and a coin operated TV. They are not in the best state of repair or cleanliness but are liveable. The pool area is ok but get a sunbed early as the ones free in the afternoon are usually broken ( the pool next door was much better) not the best pool in the world but it was clean most of the time. The pool bar was a little claustrophbic and not the cleanest in the world. The music starts at around 9.30 am and finishes at around 12 am and ranges from happy harcore to mariah carey and the jcb song on repeat. There is kareoke every wednesday and saturday night by Big and blonde. other entertainment includes the nighlty scrap around the pool bar (usually at around 3am) and the occasional scouser getting arrested. ( very entertaining as the canarian police are not as gentle as the english particularly if you resist arrest) the beach is around a 5 - 10 minute walk away and is lovely and well equipped with showers and walkways down to the sea with excellent facilities for the disabled. There are some fantastic shops ranging from designer boutiques to the usual souvenir tat shops. The best thing about the hotel is the restaurants surrounding it. The food is great and 'dolce vita' across the road is highly recommended. All in all a decent break (if you like being stuck in an episode of shameless) but will not be going again. Ever.

just got back from mar-ola 1, great place 2 stay for a relaxing holiday. one child at 8 years old he loved it. 45 degrees most days, staff were fantastic, defo going back again. one bad point cleaners didnt know how too, apart from change towls and empty buckets, it would be good if they would hire mops for floor and you can do it yourself.

Visited the Mar ola 1 on the 4th July for two weeks with a friend. Was at first quite disappointed with the range of guests in the apartments as the travel agent we booked through said that the hotel would be mainly full of people around our age - this wasn't the case. However the room was adequate, ours was one of only 6 that didn't overlook the pool, although watching people stumble in from the street at 6am proved to be quite entertaining. The bar staff were all excellent and on an occasion that my friend wasn't feeling too well, i was comfortable to go and sit in the bar with them and still had a wonderful night. Location is ideal, just a short taxi drive into the main strip. Would recommend the Mett bar on Starko for anyone looking for a good warm up befor tramps. Wigan Pier for food,,,it's like being back at home. Met some great people. But will warn teens, don't leave clothes on the floor, we got a warning from the management as the maids complained. Also could do with a first aid kit at reception as when my frined broke her toe, reception were rather unhelpful. Would visit the resort again, but would probably try a different hotel with more entertainment.

Stayed in mar ola 1 with friends 7th july for 1 week it was gr8. The apartments are spotless, bar staff, recepcion and maids are all friendly anything you need they do their best to help you. The pool area is clean and serve lovely food during the day, there is a happy hour 4-5.00 which i took gr8 advantage of as some drinks was buy 1 get 1 free. There is bus stops right outside the apartments which is easy for you to get a bus into the centre of either play de las americas or los cristianos, the sunday market in los cristianos is brilliant so i'd advise 2 go there got a lot of presents 2 take back home. The rep was very helpful any information you needed he would help you. If you like lively nightlife i suggest veronicas which is about 10 mins walk or just grab a taxi for 5 euros. For gr8 food i suggest wigan pier the meals was beautiful we had no faults in there. I enjoyed the holiday thoroughly and will definately be visiting there again.

I stayed at Mar Ola last July found them to be very clean and staff were all very friendly. Rooms are basic but clean. Entertainment not great but plenty of wee bars around it. Def check out The Hole in the Wall - food is great and craic is mighty. Would def go back.
