Sunwing Resort Fanabe Reviews
" We have just come back from holiday... "

We have just come back from holiday in Tenerife. Sunwing was very nice the apartments were big there were 6 adults and a 1 yr old we enjoyed it. There was enough space for the little one to play in. We took her to the children’s show and stayed for the mini disco she loved it dancing with other children.
The staff were excellent, friendly aqua aerobics was ok to watch my little niece liked the children’s rep dancing, because she liked to dance to.
Recommend this hotel to anyone who is thinking about going to Tenerife.
recently just had 2 weeks at this resort, nice hotel, very clean, staff very friendly and helpful. the pool area was good but unless you want to get up about 8am, you will be lucky to get a sunbed. we were in a group of 10, 6 adults, 3 teenagers and 1 child, and only on 2 occasions were we able to get sunbeds together, just as well the beach is just a 3 minute walk away down the hill. there are signs around the pool area telling people not to save sunbeds or the towels would be taken away, but this only happened on 1 occasion. the only other niggle I had was the fact that the entertainment for teenagers wasn’t that great, it finished way too early which left them bored.
the food in the hotel was good, but there are plenty of other places you can eat at half the cost you would pay in the hotel.
we were unlucky enough to get 3 cloudy days in a row, so the little one in the group was a bit bored, the TV had 3 English speaking channels eurosport, skynews, the travel channel, and they had a DVD channel which would show a kids film in English at 5pm and a film for adults at 11pm, they were shown at 3pm and 8pm but for Swedes I think.
i've only judged the hotel complex, because everyone’s opinion of the resort, its attractions and the shows that are available, differ from people to people. if you’re a family looking for a peaceful break, with kids under 13, then you can’t really say anything bad about this hotel

We booked the holiday as two separate families with two adults and two children aged 6 and 10, ( party of eight)

The resort was clean and tidy, the staff were exceptionally friendly and this came across in a genuine manner. Children’s entertainment was faultless as was their security arrangements for the children. The apartments were well laid out and adequately equipped.
The resort is conveniently located for walking down to the beach (4 minutes easy walk) which was itself very clean and organised, there are a number of very good restaurants in the area serving a wide variety of menus to satiate all appetites.
This is our third holiday in a Sunwing resort, overall it could not be faulted and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to any of our friends.
Have just returned from this wonderful holiday!! What can I say!! On holiday with my husband, two boys(10 and 5yrs) and my parents! Holiday from hell, not!
The accommodation is second to none. The size of the apartment is huge. My boys played football every evening in the "living area" goalposts where the patio doors and the dividing doors. Relaxation time for us, coming up from the pool, the boys watching a DVD and we got ready for the night ahead.
Children’s clubs , we didn’t partake as my boys where only interested in playing in the pool 24/7. There was water sports for those who wanted them, my husband included, every day!!
The staff where very accommodating, our son broke crockery, we asked to pay and were told not to worry. Never paid!!
We had Internet access and a ps2 room, second week very helpful!!, with our oldest.
Used the restaurant for lunch, would have paid more in KFC in Britain, but better quality and more choice!
The resort itself was really ok. Didn’t like the harassment of the guys wanting you to go to their place of business. Or the African women wanting to plait your hair, had mine done, saved lots of hassle for a week at least!
Went to the Jungle Park and aqua land thingies, both well worth the money. My dad would have never done the jungle park but even he enjoyed himself, loads of photos loads of fun.
Loved it so much that we have booked up for next year!! What more can I have already said. Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The accommodation was lovely and clean, no need to take towels, washing up liquid, tea towels or soap as all were provided. (Towels for the beach/pool and separate towels for in your accommodation) cleaners were in 5 days a week, changed towels and bedding when you wanted it done. Fab. Always friendly and polite. Children’s club during the day was brilliant 6 euros per day, but well worth the money.
(I have 4 children and have never ever used a kids club, but, my youngest wanted to try it, then he went in everyday at his request. We never looked back, 2 hours of peace a day for us, and 2 hours of fun for him.)
Fino restaurant on the complex have a fab breakfast buffet, from 7:30-10:30, kids eat free 0-11 years, adults just under 8 euros each. You can eat and drink as little or as much as you want.
Aerobics and Aqua-aerobics were okay, but, a little boring, not always safe either.
On a huge downside, the night entertainment was a proper let down. It was the same entertainers every night, not that entertaining. The second week was the same as the first. BORING. We walked down to the centre every night for tea, but were badgered by forceful people trying to get you to eat at their restaurant, and ladies hassling you non-stop to have your hair plaited. If you have small children that are not in a pram, I would recommend that you let them have a sleep in the afternoon, as there is no entertainment on in the centre till about 11 pm, we found this too late for our 5 year old, he could not stay awake, even though our 13 and 15 year old would have loved it, hence why we ended up staying in sunwing........
A definite must if you like Chinese, is the Chinese buffet restaurant, you turn down near the sky park to get to it. It’s 5.95 euros each. Small children eat free, the staff were helpful, friendly and the food was fab, even had fresh chips for the little ones, ice cream also included, our teenagers loved it.
Avoid the reps night if you can, a huge waste of money, it was so boring............
A must is the medieval knights, loro parque, pirates attack and the freebird catamaran.
Tenerife Weather can’t be beaten, we love it, but would not return to sunwing again, the H10 looked lovely though, I had a nosey when we went past..

Just got back from Sunwing, it was fab, the accommodation was clean and tidy, I didn’t see one cockroach.
The staff were friendly but only some of them understood English.
The pool area was clean and big, water aerobics was fun.
The access to the internet was very helpful to check out the weather and email friends back in England.
There were 8 of us (4 in each room)we never actually tried the night entertainment.
The bar was quite expensive but snacks during the day were great if you wanted a cold drink and an ice lolly by the pool.
The mini market was useful to buy the odd thing like a big bottle of water to take to the apartment.
There were only a few faults about it, but overall it was fantastic and I would recommend it to families and friends of all ages.

There was entertainment most nights although we never saw much of it as we ventured out most of the time to sample the different restaurants (Italian, Chinese and Indian all within easy reach). I would return to the Sunwing resort and have no problem recommending it tot anyone.
