FANTASTIC HOLIDAY from mlwhitehills
Booked a long weekend through the bmibaby.com website. My husband and 2 year old daughter stayed here for a long weekend. In a nut shell we WILL be staying at this hotel again and will reccommend this hotel to family and friends. The hotel was fantastic. 10 mins from airport. Pool was clean and consisted of a large pool and a small childrens pool. There are sun loungers and umbrellas available. Big and comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Very clean and tidy too. Quite good as a base to explore the area, especially if you have a car. Close to the airport/train too. Plenty of choice at the breakfast buffet, however the quality was rather average. Some staff during breakfast can be a bit annoying, as they keep staring at people's table and are a bit impatient. Staff at the reception desk were quite helpful though, and gave good tips for restaurants etc (when asked). Something that was not working well in the room was fixed in no time.... more
a good solid hotel from mikese
This is a good solid 3 star hotel. The hotel is 2 minutes walk from the train station which in turn is 2 stops from central torremolinos one wasy and 2 stops from the airport the other way. The trains run every half hour and you can easlit get to Torre and Fuengirola from this hotel. The hotel is very clean with lovely grounds. As stated in previous reviews, the hotel itself is very clean and has a beautiful reception area, with exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. The hotel grounds are very pretty. Unfortunately, the hotel comprised 99% Spanish residents and their families, with entertainment in Spanish (day and night). A "Mr & Mrs" type of competition was not in the least appealing, especially in Spanish. Food was OK, but not worth rushing to the dining room for. Stayed at the Royal Costa for 5 nights in March 2007. Warm welcome from reception staff who spoke very good English. Rooms are very clean, towels changed daily. The bath/shower configeration is a little bit difficult to enter/exit. Bar staff are a delight very friendly and accomodating your wishes etc. Restaurant was clean and very well organised. The Royal Costa Hotel Los Alamos, Torremolinos. Just returned from a five night break at the above Hotel. What an excellent stay we had! The Hotel is very well decorated and furnished, spotlessly clean, very comfortable with very friendly staff. The food was wonderful and the service in the restaurant could not be faulted. nice hotel shame about the food! from french&saunders
myself and a friend stayed here recently on a girls weekend. the hotel itself is absolutely brilliant. very clean. the rooms are cleaned daily and new towels brought (but only if the old ones are left on the floor). the staff are very friendly and nice and really went out of their way to make you feel welcome. however i found two bad points - the first being the food, there was not much selection and what was on offer wasn't very appetising. the second being it is quite near the airport and with planes arriving and leaving... more

Me andf my partner stayed at the hotel late febuary 2006 and we are both 19. This hotel is advertised as four star on expedia and even though offically it is a 3 star it lives up to a 4. Very stylish marble flooring with funky lifts makes this hotel stand out from others. The frist reviewers comment on music is utter rubbish it is NOT gansta rap which was played it was low quiet classical music which was relaxing and was turned off at a resonable hour. After I had booked this hotel I saw the previous review. I was shocked and really worried about my coming stay. Very quickly I found out that the previous review was utter rubbish. The hotel is exactly what it states. A three star hotel with every choice you could ask for. The first thing I noticed was how wonderfully clean the place is. Spotless. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL HOTEL!! The hotel looks absolutely beautiful but as they say beauty is only skin deep. I'm a vegetarian and have never had problems on any of our previous holidays but there was NOTHING that I could eat. Everything was covered in meat or fish, even the fried eggs in the morning were on bolognaise sauce! Everyday it was chips and greasey "cheap value" food.
