i had the missfortune of staying in these apartments for 2 of the longest and boring weeks of my life with my partner. the maid service is quite simply the worst service we have ever had. the room was cleaned like 3 times in 2 weeks, the beds changed only 1 time, it got to the stage that we even had to start washing our own towels as they were not getting changed. i didnt go on holiday to start cleaning my apartment. we bought quite a big can of insect killer at the start of the holiday by the end there was none left we even bought airfreshners and toilet duck as there was a horrible smell in the apartments. we were on a ground floor which we wouldn't have minded except there are no windows in the apartment for ventilation apart from a small window in the bathroom. i have asthma and with the room being so dusty and stuffy at night i took not well for the full 2 weeks having to go to the chemist to get a new inhaler as the 1 i brought with me was finished within the first 5 days. my partner eventually started to sleep outside on the sunbeds cause the room was so stuffy. we had to even buy a fan for the room as it was so much cheaper than renting 1 for 2 weeks, we also learned how to make toast without a toaster as it was also dear to rent. the shower was small but far to big for the bathroom as you had to go sideways to get to the toilet and there were too many cracked tiles on the floor, the walk was abit of a joke as well. going to the shops was ok as majority of the journey was downhill but it was a nightmare going back cause of the steep hills. if you do go here and want to eat out then i would suggest marios pizzaria.



the sooner tomas cook get ride of these apartments the better, we spoke to at least 18 people and they all said the exact same things as we were saying, a couple even moved to new apartments after 2 days cause their apartment was so shabby, the only reason my partner and i didnt change accomidation was cause we were originally going to tenerife but the holiday company went bust and we were not prepared to pay again to go to new accomidation. thank god we are home now.

this place is fab it is for couples the accomadation is basic but mario and claudio are brilliant and friendly. only a short walk from the harbour and about 20 mins from the begining of the main strip. i would def recommend purto del carmen if ur after cheap and friendly then this accomadtion is fine the pool is clean and fresh towels every other day. the day trips i recommend the camel safari. it is quiet and clean but i do have to say we were there 10 days and no clean sheets.

fridge leaked every single day, i'm sure this was the only reason u r provided with a mop and bucket!



there is no kettle, and the only cooking facilities supplied is a 2 ring hob and filthy cutlery!



ants were swarming the place everyday



swimming pool, bar and staff are all good and so were the guests.



is ok 4 a cheap holiday but apartments were very tatty!

Stayed at Las Terrazas in Oct 07 - Went with my partner and 2 friends. Nice clean apartments but massive downside was no air con! Was still hot when we went and it felt like we sleeping in a sauna. Reception highly recommended us to keep our balcony doors closed at night due to a few burglaries (re-assuring!) Overall though nice, quiet relaxing place. Pool area was kept clean and had some laughs on the 'slide' which i think is supposed to be a water feature! This was just a base for us, A fair walk to the main strip and the new town but it's all down hill (Recommend getting a taxi back! Lol)

Would recommend this holiday to small groups, couples or families.

the boys from leeds absolutely loved it. nice rooms. perfect for a bunch of lads hu get in at 9 in mornin! both the lads who work there are nice and helpful. will be coming back again no doubt. close to spar so thats good.short taxi ride away to the strip.

Ola Woopa!!! Oh yes the pool is great for skinny dipping, best to go with friends/couples i went with wifey and we met some excellent friends there (Ms S Hill) Cloudio was a great host, recommend the BBQ on WEDs only! And make sure there are 10+ people to the BBQ. Be ware the Sangria from Craig (Top Shelf malarky) and make sure you take some sun cream we left and it was 40o in the shade! Spar is open down the road and Crafty Cow (Hungry Horse to some) is a great place to start the day! Good Luck cant wait to go back next year......Lanza Lanza Lanzarote....

Yes the apartments are a tad shabby, and you need a sense of humour, but ideal if you just want a base to crash back too after a few sangrias!! Great for a relaxing, drinking, chilling holiday, Better for couples, or mates that just want to have a good time!! There is a fab pool, great for skinny dipping in after a few beers, and bar, yes Claudio is a great host and makes you very welcome. Main town is a short ride away in a taxi, other than that a short stroll to the habour in about 10 mins....Great bars and places to eat! There is everything on the doorstep, and overall the place is clean and tidy.

We made some great friends there and will be returning again with them next june. If you want a no frills break.....then this is a good choice! Have Fun xx

The apartments are basic and in need of updating. Ratings say this is a 2 to 3 star but infact it is a 1 star. The bar mnager is great and the people there are a good laugh but this is not enough to make you go back. The apartments are situated a GOOD 20-30 minutes walk to the new town and any decent nightlife and shops.



Also, while we were there an apartment was broken into whilst the guests were sleeping. Staff and local residents said this was always happening so if u do stay be very careful and ask for an apartment off the ground floor!!

We recently stayed here, and although the rooms are basic (but clean) the staff more than make-up for it. Claudio is the best bar manager ever, and a really decent host! the place is probably a ten minute walk from the old town and twenty five minute walk from main strip, however we mainly stayed in the old town as the pubs, eating places were much friendly, better atmospheres and value for money. Would def come back to stay as met some great/friendly people! Although there was no cooling facilities here, I since learned that you can check with mario the friendly reception manager, as it may be possible to hire a fan. Def a place for couples!

the accomodation at this complex is out dated and in desperate need of cash spending on it,the bar owner ,claudio is lovely as is the reception man mario,but unfortunately the accomodation is bad,am really surprised that, airtours and thomas cook are actually promoting these apartments, they must like dealing with lots of complaints,wouldnt recomend to anyone, the owners or investers should try spending some cash on refurbishment

My boyfriend and I stayed here in July 07 for a week.



The accommodation was great value for what we paid!



Being teenagers it was great for us as it was a fairly short walk to the beach and clubs,bars etc.



The harbour is extremely close which was great! - Also good if you're looking to Scuba dive?



Mario was very friendly as so was Claudio. Great little bar and food!



Very clean all round!



Taxi's usually no more than 3 euro to the town which is excellent!









I wouldnt reccommend this accommodation to someone who stuggles to walk though as it is very uphill







Trying to book the next visit here as we speak! Such a great place!!!!!

I took my partner here for her 18 birthday, it was quiet and everyone was friendly the bar was good and the pool was a good size. the shops were not to far away. we will be returning here for our next holiday. we would recommend this as a great place to stay to other couples.

I STAYED HERE ON THE 2/3/08 FOR 1 WEEK,THE TERRAZAS WAS A GREAT PLACE TO STAY,BUT UP A HILL,A TAXI FROM THE SHOPS ALONG THE FRONT OF PUERTO DEL CARMEN COST 3 EURO.TO THE TERRAZAS,THERE IS A GOOD BAR AND SWIMMING POOL THERE AND SHOP AND BARS NEAR BUY.I WILL BE BOOKING AGAIN FOR NEXT YEAR .ON WENESDAYS THERE IS A BARBACUE FOR 10 EURO,THERE IS A GAMES ROOM WITH A POOL TABLE,MOST OF THE APARTMENTS HAS A SEA VIEW.

We have just come back from Las Terrazas apartments in Puerto del Carmen and I read the reviews before going but feel I must add my comments. I am in my late 30s and went with my boyfriend for a relaxing break. The apartments are listed as quiet, self catering but this is hardly the case. There is a bar by the reception which is right next to the studios which bangs out loud music and karaoke till 2 in the morning and the cooking facilities are a two ring burner. The studio was extremely small and rather dirty. I spent two hours cleaning it when we arrived and there were bugs all over the place and I was bit several times. The photos of the pool area were taken from a very good angle. It is nowhere near as nice as it looks. The apartments are situated at the top of a massive hill which is not suitable for elderly people but taxis are cheap as stated. Puerto del Carmen is beautiful though and the pub over the road "The Crafty Cow" is great and the staff are really friendly. The food in Marios is great as well but be prepared to wait. We will be returning to Lanzarote but definitely not to Las Terrazas.

we stayed at these apartments for 2 weeks and had a lovely time , claudio is a great host,room basic but clean,unforetunately one of the guests staying made the bar seats unuseable by pissing on them most nights,other than that the bar was great at night,would definately go back and al we hope for is if that other guest ever returns he as the decency to use an adults pamper
