Went in March 2006 for 4 nights and although the weather was truly shocking I cant blame that no the hotel which I thought overall was very good.
The hotel is in a very nice location not too far for the beach or near the Resort Centre. Was a bit quiet as a resort so a lot of places were closed.
Hotel was very classy extremely clean and there were always plenty of staff to assist. The food was nice but a little bit German so we didn't always eat in the hotel.
But overall a very nice hotel that I would recommend.

Hello,
Thought I would leave a review for this hotel as I see it hasn’t had one already which is surprising!
My partner and I came to The Royal Al Andalus in June this year for a two week break. We booked it as a last minute deal so was quite nervous what to expect as sometimes the place itself doesn’t live up to the brochure.
We have before stayed in hotels from hell but I must say how pleased I was when we arrived at Al Andalus. The hotel itself is beautiful and so well kept and maintained. Most of the staff were lovely and very helpful if you needed help except one (one miserable *** isn't bad!!) and the rooms were lovely just as in the brochure. We had clean towels every day as well as a thorough clean too!! I would recommend the hotel to anyone but it isn’t entirely flawless...
... We went half board basis and honestly that was a mistake at first the food was nice with plenty of variety but after the third day the same menu was repeated time after time and the food quality really did go down hill. All the people we met there called it the CANTEEN!!! You queue up for your meal and its a thing of first come first served and at breakfast time I noticed when the beans etc get low it wasn’t replaced with a new batch, new food was poured over old and just mixed round- not 4*food expectation. There are plenty of nice cafe/restaurants near by so I would strongly recommend eating out.
We found the best place in Torremolinos called the Mermaid just down the road next to the spar shop. Is serves a lovely selection of home cooked fresh English food at no grumble prices. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners no matter what time you pop by and is always served with a smile!
Also try the Hoffner as that was gorgeous too!!
If you are under 35 seriously consider another location as torremolinos hasn’t got much going on for younger people.
