Oceano Apartments

Having read some of the previous reviews we were not sure what to expect from this hotel. However we were very pleasantly surprised.
The accommodation was very good and clean. The pool was lovely (yes it was cold but this was not a problem!).
The staff were very helpful, especially Susanna who is lovely.
Please don't take any notice of the bad reviews of this hotel and check it out for yourself, and remember it is much cheaper than others, so if you are looking for 5 stars then you will have to pay for it!

After spending 2 weeks at the apartments that I had not read too many good reviews on, I am overwhelmed by the level of accommodation and service that I received.
For a 2 star rating I had a very clean room, the bathroom was fantastic and the shower was good. My room was cleaned every other day and bedding changed every 4th day. If any extra cleaning was needed a request to reception was all that was needed.
My room was above the bar and it was not too noisy, it also closed at midnight so even if it was noisy, it wouldn't have been a problem.
The pool is a good size and clean. The staff were fantastic and always seemed cheerful.
I will definitely stay at these apartments again.

I and my boyfriend went hear for the New Year and to get some winter sunshine.
The location of the hotel was ideally situated, near beaches, restaurants and bars.
New Year was lovely as they had a fire works display at midnight on the beach and lots of things happening like karaoke, discos, and comedians.
The room was ok and supplied a fridge, oven and TV.
The hotel had a pool and a snack bar, we didn’t use the pool as it was far to cold and wasn’t heated.
The snack bar served cheap food and served up a lovely English fry up!!
Overall I would say this hotel is basic and more for families but ideal for those looking for a relaxing holiday with a central location.

Item 1.
Instead of the 2 weeks at the Oceana Apartments in Costa Teguise, it became a short stay, since from arrival on Thursday 14th to Sunday 17th , every evening till early hours we experienced resonating music and noise coming through the building from an entertainment venue directly on the ground floor.

On arrival at the apartments we were handed a magnetic door swipe key a generally pointed in a direction of our room. We had to negotiate two floors of stairs to reach our room with our cases – no lift available or help provided. Not a good start.

After the climb and reaching the room it was not ready! The cleaners were still at work, reception had not advised – its getting worse. We left our cases and disappeared for an hour to allow them to finish, just what we needed after a long flight.

1.We found the room itself was of a poor standard:
2.Bath with shower, considering it was a white suite, bottom of bath was a brown colour.
3.Shower operation poor, dribble of water no pressure. Also with hot on full it was barely warm.
4.Sink was blocked after running the tap, reported and it was rectified.
5.Fridge could not keep milk or other items cold, which was especially worrying in the heat. The freezer compartment of the fridge was a block of ice that kept defrosting during the day leaving puddle of water on the floor.
6.Oven smelt of fat and was in poorly kept, didn’t dare use.
7.Overall I felt disappointed with the room and its general cleanliness.
Overall these Apartments are well passed their sell by date and are in need of total refurbishment.

The apartments were clean but basic was well situated for shops and beach. The staff were very friendly but the pool bar could have catered more for all their guests. They tended to cater more for French surfers.
There was also a restaurant but only the French surfers were allowed to use the pool. It was salt water and tended to be cold but in all a very enjoyable holiday.

These apartments were spacious clean and in a brilliant location to explore Costa Teguise. I have been to Costa Teguise around 13 times now and I have no doubts that for the money I paid for these apartments that I would visit them again.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the pool though cold was very well kept! Costa Teguise is brilliant if you enjoy windsurfing and if you aren't into extreme sports but you like to stay cool while sunbathing the wind keeps you nice and cool. We found the restaurants in this resort were as good as any we had visited in other countries and due to the brilliant location of these apartments they were all within walking distance and very easy to get home to late at night.
We had a brilliant holiday.
