If you are looking to just sit and relax on the beach for a week or two this hotel is great. The rooms are basic but have everything you could need, a frige to keep you water cold and if you dont fancey going out to eat there is a hob, oven and some cooking equipment. There is a TV however you have to pay for it and pay a deposit for the remote....but you dont go on holiday to watch TV! The bathroom was good, however choose to have your showers at a 'not too busy time' i found only once when i tried to shower at about 5.00pm there was no hot water and had to wash using the sink, but then 10 min later my boyfriend was able to have a nice hot shower! Also if you like to wash you sandy feet off in the beday there is one however, ours did not work. The hotel is in a great location as it is just round the corner from all the bars and restrants and also the beach!!! The hotel is kept very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. If you dont fancey getting sandy down the beach the pool is good, i dont think its heated but it is slightly warmer than the sea and is refreshing. It is also salt water pool i think. I found that most of the other guest at the hotel where either young couples like myself around the ages of 20-30 or older couples around the ages of 45-70. I didnt see any familys staying at the time i was there.
I recomened to anyone going to do some of the days out, we did the rancho texas night and the national park and loved them both.
On our last day the hotel staff where very good in that we had to be out our room by 12 but we were not being picked up to be taken to the airport till 7 so we where able to use a room for half an hour in the everning to shower and change so that the day was not wasted waiting around to leave we were able spend the day by the pool relaxing.
Overall you pay for what you get, and for the money staying here you get all you need and as i said great location as its not right over any bars so that it is loud at night but it is only a 5 min walk if you want to go to the bars.
The only thing i would say is watch out for Thomas Cook. They did not charge for extra on our luggage going out but comming back our bags weighed the same and i got charged 3 x 9 euros so 27 euros for my bag being to heavy on the way home and i wasn't the only one they wont let anyone past so be warned or you might find yourself on the airport floor desperatly trying to take things out of your bag and into you hand luggage!!!

We stayed at Los Lentiscos for 2 weeks and would definetely go again. Apatrments very clean and spacious, maid came 4 times a week to change linen and towels and had superb kitchenette facilities.
The pool was a lovely size, with 2 childrens pools also. There was always plenty to do during day with endless pool activities and the daily quiz.
Pool side bar was lovely for drinks and light snacks and was very well priced(cheap!!).
Very close to numerous bars and restaurants with plenty of nightlife in the square, which I highly reccommend.
The best bar for meals, drinks and friendly service was without a doubt Castaways!!! Best for english fry up.
Was such a good holiday have booked to go back next year!!!!

Overall I was very happy with these apartments. The rooms were spacious and clean and the maid came 3 times a week to clean, change towels and empty the bins. It was quite a small complex so was nice and peaceful. Would definately suit couples looking for a relaxing break. As soon as you walk out of the reception you're met by an endless supply of supermarkets, including the Spar chain which were nice and cheap, and a good variety of bars and restaurants. Even though it's on a main road it's quiet at night apart from 12-2am when there is karaoke at one of the local English bars! But as it's only for a couple of hours it's not too bad.
I'd definitely recommend going to the Spanish Square which is only a few minutes away. Go to the English bar which is opposite Hooks, I can't remember what it's called but it's so cheap. 2 drinks only came to €5 whereas the bar next to it was about €12!
I'd definately recommend the Oceano Apartments all in all!

This was to be me and my wifes 1st holiday together without our darling children for twenty years and we were hoping for a nice quiet relaxing holiday where we didnt have to travel far for anything and enjoy plenty of sunshine and good food.
Seven days later and every single box has been ticked perfectly
The apartment we stayed in was very clean and well maintained , the best shower ive ever used ie it stayed at a good temperature for the entire time u were in there .
Ample balcony , good fridge . oven and tv which we didint use because we went away to leave that stuff behind. the pool looked fine and clean if you require it and the pool side bar was brilliant and served very good reasonably priced food. the host and hostess were very friendly and helpful as were the reception staff.
although centally situated we found it relatively peaceful despite there being several bars nearby.
We enjoyed several walks around the coastline and noticed just how little litter there was other than that left by idiots in the rocky peninsulas .
We had several visits to the Golden City Chinese restaurant and had some wonderful hot buffets (certainly the best ive ever tasted).
It was nice not to be hounded by bar and restaurants touting for business , yes you were asked if you would like to dine with them but they didnt chase you down the street as is often the case
We can only speak for ourselves but we had a wonderful holiday and will definitely be returning there soon and it was great value for money

Just returned after a week having stayed at the Oceano Apartments and feel that I have to tell people of our experience.
How Airtours can grade these apartments 3 star I have no idea, in my opinion it is no more than a 2 star at the very best.
The reception only seemed to open a few hours in the day so if you had any problems there was nobody there to help you. The pool bar, again, seemed to open and close as and when.
The pool area was dissapointing, not very clean, and there seemed to be an underlying smell coming from the pool toilets.
Some of the apartments are above bars and the noise can go on until early hours of the morning. During our stay, the Fri & Sat night there was a Brazilian music festival which meant that the noise continued until 4am, I don't know there is a festival every weekend, if there is I wouldn't recommend staying in room 113.
The rooms are very basic and in desperate need of a refurb.

We are just back from a 2 week stay in Oceano, Costa Teguise. We have not got 1 complaint (and we are very fussy), from we arrived until we left everything was perfect. The apartments are really central to the shops, Bars and Restaurants, although it is near a main road, it is really quiet and peaceful. The Pool bar is owned by Mo and Suzanne, they are the nicest people you could ever meet, we tried breakfast in various places but we always came back to the pool bar as they make the best breakfast in Costa Teguise! We had good craic with Mo and others having pool competitions at night. The apartment itself was really clean, the maids cames every second day, they changed sheets, towels and mopped the floors. For those who like to read, Mo also has a book selection for the pool bar customers. We highly recommend these apartments, We will be visiting again very soon, and will be bringing the rest of the family next time!!!!!!

We stayed here for one week in April. The accommodation was centrally situated and quiet. Our only complaint was on our day of departure we packed our cases, left them on the bed and went for breakfast around 9.45am. I came back 2 minutes later to change my shoes to find the maid in our room ?? why when we didn't have to vacate it till 12 noon. She seemed surprised and left. I felt uneasy so locked the cases and left. After breakfast we returned to collect our cases. On having a final look around the room we found a pair of my white trousers thrown onto the top shelf of the wardrobe. It was obvious that these had been removed from our case but the maid was unable to return them as I had locked it. I must add that nothing was missing from our luggage but why was the maid in our room and why did she remove the trousers from the case. I have written to both My Travel and the Oceano but to date have received no reply.
Just a warning................................you wouldn't know anything was missing until you arrived back in England and may have just assumed that perhaps you had mistakenly left it there.
Incidents like this leave a bad taste -

Just returned yesterday after a week in Oceano Apartments and I have no complaints at all. They were central but surprisingly not a lot of street noise.The pool and surrounding areas are more than adequate, the room i had was spacious, clean and well equipped and as a two star apartment I rated it very highly. Rooms and pool area cleaned regularly, towels replaced and clean sheets midweek on beds. For me the star attraction is Mo's Bar, he pours a mean Baileys! He and his wife were friendly,helpful and fun.

Me and my partner stayed in the Oceano Apartments from 13th Jan until 20th Jan (LAST NIGHT!!)
After reading the reviews from this site, I wasn't expecting anything amazing, but I was pleasantly surprised.
The apartment was clean, and spacious, supplied with enough towels, cutlery, plates etc that we needed. The rooms were cleaned every other day, and bedding was changed, and so were towels.
the maid even did our washing up sometimes!!!
For a two star hotel, I thought it was excellent value for money. The apartment served its purpose, and I had an extremely enjoyable time! The location of the Oceano really couldn't be better.
The pool bar did seem to open and close when it felt like it, but this isn't a problem, as there are many bars only 5 mins away, as well as many shops, and of course the beaches!!!
A fairly quiet night life, but the hotel is close the the bus stops for the capital Arriceffe, and Puerto del Carmen if you fancy a change of scenery and its only £1 to get to the capital!!!
All in all, great hol, I will be returning, and staying at the Oceano!

My partner and I stayed for 2 weeks in May we had a lovely time with no problems.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, the apartment was much better than first thought and kept very clean.
I would highly recommend a holiday here for couples or families especially being so close to everything.
For the price your paying its a bargain, we will definitely be returning!!!!
