Submitted By: Mr R GrantAlthough a little nervous as we got dropped off in the middle of 'the strip' between all the bars I shouldn't have been.
A bit of a climb up a lot of steps but I was expecting this. Hence totally unsuitable for the elderly or those with very young children.
The apartments were large with two big double rooms (although all single beds) with a large bathroom and descent size kitchen (twin hotplates, microwave and fridge).
All of it was marble tiled and absolutely spotless.
Maid service every other day and she even did the pots once!
Two pools (one large with no shallow end and a kid’s one) plenty of loungers and a toilet block by the pool. Again the area was spotless and cleaned every morning at about eight.
The staff were all friendly and couldn't have been more helpful.
However there is no bar or entertainment so your kids may get a bit bored unless they make friends whilst they are there!
Fifty yards across the road to a large clean beach. Turn left at the bottom of the steps and you're straight to the bars.
Turn right and a 10 minute walk to the old harbour and the posher eateries!
All in all extremely clean, spacious and quiet (you can’t hear the many bars), definitely recommended.

Submitted By: Miss S ClarkThe night life is excellent. Try a club called Titos that is a good night out. Also there are some really good bars.
The restaurants are nice too. A really nice Chinese, come out of Caleton Blanco and turn left and about 10 mins up the strip.

Submitted By: Miss R RooneyThere were a lot of steps up to some of the apartments but this was not a problem for us as the rest of the complex surely made up for this.
The location was ideal, the complex was situated right in the centre of Puerto del Carmen with the nearest restaurant/bar being about 10 yards away from the reception area. The beach was right across the road.
Overall I had a wonderful stay at the Caleton Blanco Apartments and I would definitely go back for a holiday again.

Submitted By: emerald_babe31I loved the view and the fact we had our own pool area was great as the kids didn’t want to stay out all day in the sun. It was nice sitting there by pool and then at night when the kids were in bed we would sit on our balconies and drink and listen to the pool etc.
I was bit disappointed there was no air conditioning but my dad hired fans for us for the rooms and it wasn’t too bad.
I would definitely go back there again the staff where friendly and welcoming and I would go on me own as well without kids as it’s too warm.

Submitted By: Mrs D WarhurstThe location of the apartment is absolutely ideal with the huge sandy beach just across the road and if you turn right at the bottom of the steps you can enjoy a pleasant 10 minute walk to the Old Harbour. Overall the restaurants are very good and it does not take very long to find your favourites also most provide a take -away service which is still good food and very reasonable. There are a number of steps to climb to and from the apartment but a slight detour around the pool breaks the monotony.
There is plenty to do and would certainly recommend an excursion around the island i.e. there are various tours on offer however do not book with your tour operator they are very expensive you can generally find it cheaper by asking other tourists.
Once again great holiday and highly recommended.

Submitted By: emerald_babe31I got loads of pics of the place and also the rest of the town and loved being there for a first time holiday to a foreign place it was worth it... we aren’t taking the kids though the next time. Because it was to much for them
The only problem we had was no air conditioning in the apartments so my dad had to rent the fans out for the week other than that it was brilliant
I also think there should have been the umbrellas by the pool at the sun loungers.

" Fabulous, you will not regret going!... "
Submitted By: Mrs A HoeyWe were in Block C in the apartments, they were the best apartments as they had the sea view. The apartment was very spacious and extremely clean, big balcony and the cleaner cleans the apartments everyday except one.
We went to a lot of restaurants as the apartments was situated near enough to them all. There is a superb Chinese restaurant left and across the road, just past Burger King. You have to go there, Charming Garden, The waiter is very nice.
Another nice restaurant is La Ola. It’s about 15 minutes walk from the apartment, turn left and keep walking up the strip and you'll find it. All the restaurants are lovely, I didn’t find a bad one!
Overall the apartments are very nice. People who work there are extremely nice. It’s been a fabulous holiday and I would really advise you to go to the Caleton apartments, you won't regret it.
One piece of advice, don't buy any electrical items in the small shops, they’re not good, even if they are cheap. And don't let the shopkeepers lead you into their shop.

Submitted By: Mr M CarruthersSecondly we were in an apartment which was facing the sun in the afternoon, the rooms got unbearably hot (no air conditioning) I would recommend hiring a fan heater. I would also recommend that you don't get any excursions from the tour rep, turn left at the bottom of the steps and there is a shop about a quarter of a mile down the strip which is far cheaper!
The staff were friendly and the pool was always clean and tidy. Plenty of places to eat but it tended to be similar. Nice Italian Dolce Vita excellent food and very reasonable.

" Caleton was a great place to stay.... "
Submitted By: Miss R FaulknerThe restaurant below to the right, was brilliant, and many a night we would find ourselves there. They catered for my Nan’s 80th birthday, and provided a cake, and party bags with a few days notice. Another great restaurant was the "Restaurant grill" which serves the best Peppered Fillet steak around.
Turn left at the apartments, and keep going until you reach the single pathway. Tito's is also a great night out, the kids love dancing around the dance floor and stage, and the staff are really friendly. My only advice would be to avoid the English bars, quite frankly you get a better service from the locals, and they really value your custom.
All in all it was a great holiday - other than the 80 odd steps. Although my Nan managed it, but she is quite fit for her age.

Submitted By: Miss L PPool area is nice (on the top) but there is no pool bar so to get drinks etc. You need go to your room or shops. The maid cleans out apartment, every day apart from one. All in all apartments are great but I wouldn't like to be on any other block because of the amount of stairs. Would not suit elderly or disabled. I wear ear plugs. Just as well because my friends heard the entrance iron door opening and closing constantly and other noises. But they didn't think it to be too bad.
This was because our apartment was right above entrance area. All in all would highly recommend. Around about shops are all pretty similar but some nice eating places. All pretty reasonable.

We had a fantastic time here,
Superb location, on the main strip, but just set back so no noise (though I couldn't vouch for those in the other mention's -block A, right on the front?)
It was very clean, quiet, tidy, and all the staff were very polite.
Nice pool(s) also clean, and warm enough to swim in too!
Room was nicely presented, and again, very clean and tidy, and well presented throughout.
There are steps, and no lifts (so good for burning off the calories, but not for those with walking difficulties) but a minimum of three flights if your on the top floor.. Not a bad price though for a great view!
Really good, and highly recommended.

" The apartments are the best we have... "
Submitted By: Mrs P KayThe apartments were centrally located and as close to the beach as is possible without being on it. The local restaurants and bars are great and the prices are very reasonable too. The apartment don't have a pool bar but that made it quieter for the families with young children. A perfect place to relax and unwind from the hectic life back home.
The only downside was the amount of steps we had to climb to our apt so they are not suitable for people who cant climb or walk too far up hill.
A fantastic holiday for a family or couple.

Submitted By: Miss J A GreenoughOverall the apartments were extremely spacious, clean and absolute value for money. The balcony was HUGE, bathroom had double sinks, one shower, no bath. Kitchen area was stocked well with all kitchen utensils, crockery, hob, microwave, etc but we ate out the majority of the time. Breakfasts a speciality all along the front of Puerto Del Carmen - full breakfast for as little as 3 euros.
Would recommend Caleton Blanco Apartments.

There were 86 STEPS to our door!!!!!! Aside from getting the much needed exercise we had a ball!! We were right in the centre of things. Once we got to book in we went to the closest shop we could find and bought the essentials........bad mistake!! The shop which we went to is one of the most expensive in Puerto del Carmen!! It is when you turn left after going down all the steps and along the street about 4 or 5 doors. Don’t go there, there is a really good one when you turn right after the steps and it is on the 2nd zebra crossing on the left hand side of the street. Anyway enough about the shop.

The beach is only across the road but we only went there about 2 times. We spent the time at the pool. On the 1st day we went to the pool I got a real shock because the pool is extremely deep. The kids got very upset cos they had to wear armbands!! Staff very nice and rooms cleaned every day. I recommend very highly that you go.
