" Awesome! "

I thought that this hotel was fantastic. I went with my mum, sister, nan and grandad. As myself only being quite younge still, i thought it was very good. The onlydwnside to the hotel was the scrap yardey area just aside to the hotel. But apart from that i thought it was a great time. I went for a week, all inclusive. They do some great non - alcoholic cocktails, which myself and my sister enjoyed very much. The food was very nice, a great selection for everyone. The pool was extreamley relaxing. They do daily exercises to get yourself going. With a great poolside bar. The hot weather topped the whole holiday off. With the hotel staff, and people very nice, and a plesure to be around! I thought there was a widerange of entertainment for children, and also adults too.
Overall, a great holiday. I do reconment this hotel, it was fantastic, my best holiday yet!! I would love to go again maybe next year i hope!!!!! :)

Advice: The spanish Blackpool type, but great!

Activities: Aqualand!!

Good for: Beach

" excellent holiday  "

We have stayed at the puente real twice and again have no complaints about this hotel
the first time we stayed we went self catering and the appartment was ideal for 2 adults and 3 kids there was plenty for the kids to do and the staff were helpful.
The second time we stayed we were half board we had no complaints about the food there was plenty of choice and the food was always hot.
The hotel is in a nice quiet area right across from the beach. The other people who have given the Puente Real bad reviews must be writting about a different hotel as we are planning on going back again as its in my mind one of the best hotels i've stayed in

Advice: nice quiet area lovely walk up to the town plenty of shops and bars

Activities: the best restaurant is the Casa Paca which is just up from the hotel the staff were friendly

Good for: Beach

" a small break "

me and my boyfriend stayed here for a four day break. the rooms were ok, only thing annoying was that we slept on camp beds that were pushed together to look like a double bed.these wouldnt stay together which wasnt too good. the bathroom was alrite although we had to hold the shower to wash ourselves, there was always hot water and the maid service was pretty good. remember to put ur towels over the bath if you need new ones or you wont get any. overall the rooms were clean and we had a lovely veiw from the balcony lookin out at the beach. as for the food, there was some variation from night to night but everything was pretty discusting and full of grease. i couldnt hav stayed here for more than 4 days and eat at this hotel. even in those 4 days we went out for dinner twice, you will find nice resteraunts down at the marina in benalmadena. this is a really nice place to go at night although it is 10 euros away in a taxi. there isnt much going on around the puente real hotel.. so we got a taxi to torremilinous centre- wich is quite a bit away (you will get a taxi for 6 euros) there is more to do in the centre. during the day the beach in front of the hotel is quiet and relaxing. the waether as pretty good but windy in april.. the pool area is lovely if you get warm enough weather to get in it. i would advise staying in benalmadena if you are wanting somewhere more lively with more bars and clubs.

" My partner & I spent a week all... "

My partner & I spent a week all inclusive. We had a one bed apt quite spacious but very shabby, overlooking waste ground. The dining room was chaotic we had to walk around looking for a table, then had to find cutlery, napkins. The staff were indifferent most of the time. The food got worse every day very bland not always cooked properly. As dishes were emptied it took them ages to replenish. The outside barbeque was a disgrace the chef used a filthy cloth to wipe the cooking area. The fridge opening was clogged with dirt. The entertainment was not very good. We made the best of it as we were only there for a week.

" NEVER EVER AGAIN!

This... "

NEVER EVER AGAIN!

This hotel gives other all inclusive hotels a bad impression. Chaos in the dining room every day of the holiday. Food abismal. Hysterical amount of people in the hotel, so busy .Entertainment was terrible. Do the same thing every week. A number of us had upset stomachs. Spanish push and shove but hotel not to blame. Staff were sometimes ignorant. Pool area was ok problems were not being able to get sunbeds or umbrellas. There must have been about 6 umbrellas for 600 people. And with being a family of nine we needed at least one.

Things for kids to do in the day were probably the best thing which included face painting, football, making bracelets...etc. Things for adults to do aswell. Wouldn't stay again!!!! Not recommended.

" Bad down side is the food main... "

Bad down side is the food main courses was not not eaten once by me and my partner ! who instead went for the option of pasta fried fish, chips or pizza everyday for the duration of ten days! even though i could get chips back in London.Safe bet is salad desserts, fruit.Pool side bar wasn't any better only chicken kebabs are pre cooked and the fryed on a grill for less than 3 mins same with burgers and hotdogs nothings fresh!
Drinks are the only best thing large portions and the frozens pizza you can order.Rooms are great size and view also room kept clean at all times.but would never return to hotel but loved costa del sol!!

" This hotel has strong good and bad... "

This hotel has strong good and bad points.

The good; it's clean and our room was cleaned everyday. The staff are polite and happy (except Maria at the pool bar, very rude.) The pool is nice, and the poolside snackbar is handy between all inc meals. The proximity to the beach is fantastic. The alcoholic drinks are all brands like San Miguel and Malibu, and they're not shy on their measures! It's also 10 mintues walk from the train station which can take you to neighbouring resorts or Malaga airport. Or it's only 10 min drive from the airport.

The bad; I was in the toilets next to the guy serving food at the snackbar, and after doing his business he didn't wash his hands and went back to serving food.
The food in the food hall is mostly of terrible quality. There is a large variety but they just can't get the simple things right; orange juice full of sugar, cereal that was stale, chicken that couldn't have been chicken, beans that were odd tasting and cold. The bread, soup, hams and water melons were the safest bets.
Most of our fellow holidaygoers seemed to be miserable and wouldn't exchange a single sentence over dinner, but that's not the hotel's fault.
It's about a half hour walk to the resort centre but there's a sprinkling of bars about 10 mins walk away, or a bus stop outside the hotel.
On our last day we stored our luggage in the locked luggage room, but this room doubled up as the tv room where guests were sitting around watching movies right next to our left luggage! Perfect opportunity to steal. They also said we could use the shower room which turned out to be a random room at the hotel. It was a disgusting run down room with used tissues and towels lying around, and a manky shower. It gave my missus the creeps.

I usually don't complain about things and keep it bottled up, but despite being a large and mostly well run hotel, it has some key areas it needs to improve on.

" We booked this holiday in the hope... "

We booked this holiday in the hope that spain's underrated hotels would catch us lucky. We were wrong. The food was abismal, the people were antisimpatico, and my mum fell down the stairs. i also couldnt get out the bath and found myself very wrinkly without the rail. I hope this review has helped anyone in doubt and i would like to see this hotel demolished, or improved. Boom boom, shake the hotel.

" Ok for the price we paid. I would... "

Ok for the price we paid. I would recomend going self catering, as the food was terrible!
I am 20 years old and i went with my boyfriend.

We paid for half board but ended up eating out most nights, and i had an orange for breakfast most days! There is plenty of restuarants to choose from, all of which serve excellent food.if you start to get home sick, visit the Tudor Rose, which serves excellent english grub!

There are some lovely irish and english bars.Molleys is a fantastic night out and about a 5 min. walk from the hotel.

The pool area is nice, but as with everywhere you have to get up at 6.30 to reserve a lounger.

Rooms, nice.Good size clean. The one thing i will say is the maid was a bit rude! She came in the afternoon whilst i was having a kip and shunned me out of the bed!

Entertainment is all for children, but for them is it good. Not much for adults, but the area around the hotel has loads to offer anyway.

I would go there again, but would definatly be self catering.

" Just returned from this hotel after... "

Just returned from this hotel after having a fab time with my 3 friends (all in our 40's). The hotel was great value for money. The food was excellent, always a good choice. The rooms were a good size and were clean and comfortable as was the rest of the hotel.

The location was excellent position in a quiet part of town on the beach. The town centre is up hill and about 1km away however there is a bus which stops outside the hotel which will take you there or a taxi costs just 7€.

Entertainment as with most of these hotels was a hit and a miss but if you have an open mind and free drinks you just make the most of it. I would be happy to return to this hotel.

" Just got back from 2 great weeks at... "

Just got back from 2 great weeks at The Puente Real. Nice hotel, only downside was the food.

It was very basic in choice dining room was very busy at times, but it did not spoil our holiday. Rooms are nice and big and cleaned daily. Pool area and outside bar good with BBQ all very nice.

Staff friendly, entertainment average. Would we go back? Yes at the right price. You get what you pay for but all in all nice hotel.
