Club Excelsior Annex is well worth the money for a cheap self catering holiday in Turkey, situated in a quite area with easy access to busy Marmaris. Apartments are simple but efficient to stay in as we only slept, showered and changed in them. Food at the bar was ok for snacks but expensive and disgusting for main meals. We ate somewhere on the local strip which was 100 yards down the road. Although coming to the end of the season there was still a lot going on with the entertainment in the hotel.
You have the advantage of a British supermarket 5 minute walk behind the hotel and it's a 10 minute walk by following storm-drain to the beach front where there's plenty of busy bars and things to do like buying bargains from the shops and undercover bazaar coming to the end of season. When shopping in Turkey they do prefer the British currency so remember not to change all your money. Trips are cheaper to book around the corner than through the reps.
I would highly recommend the cruises which are excellent value for money. Weather was still 32 degrees although we did get hit by a 5 day storm during our 15 day holiday.
Room Tip: If your not happy with your room complain you will get moved, in all fairness they do take complaints seriously.

we got a cheap last min deal to exelsior in june .didnt know what to exspect on arrival but as the days went by my kids &i loved it sooo much we are going back again next year! found a hotel &a holiday we love &food is that cheap 2 but 20pounds =50lira would buy a family of 3 breakfast dinner &lollys 4 the kids all day

stayed in excelsior annex just across the road from the main apparts rooms were very nice but a bit dated. house keeping was brilliant maids cleaned it every day had our bedding changed every three days and towels changed most days.staff are brilliant cant do enough for you, entertainment is really good daytime and nighttime but was repeated on the second week we had a b.b.q on wednesday night that was well worth the money,swimming pool was cleaned every day and its immaculate. had a really brill time would go back again

just got bk from our 3rd time staying at the club exclsior well what more can i say had a brill holiday the staff are great really make you feel welcome danielle and calos do abrill job with the round the pool games and night party games, all the lads who work in the bar area are fab really good lads who make you laugh deffo will be back next year . if you are after a fun filled holiday come to the exelsior brill xx

it was like heaven i was spoiled by the barstaff any drink you can imagine they can make my son 14 wasnt so happy with the kids club he thought it was a tad to childish for him
but me 18 year old son loved it the is a lot to do next year when i go back im goint to try to stay for a month :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Bit of a dodgy start but turned out into a amazing holiday, when we got there we got put in the junior hotel when we had booked for the main building. We got told that the main building was full by the staff in the junior hotel??? Next day went to see Selda the receptionist in main building and got us moved straight away to room 217. She couldnt help us enough and could see we was upset about having 2 double beds in the room with 2 teenage boys this wasnt gonna work. But after that incident the holiday was faultless, staff very friendly couldnt do enough for you. Always wanting to make you laugh and always joining in with the entertainment team. Our kids loved Carlos and JJ the waiter. Good entertainment programme with something different every night but does get repeated on the second week. Advice to any one going to turkey dont book any trips before you go as a lot cheaper out there as we found out. Dont be put off by the Fun Pub if you are a family as our room was right above it and it didnt disturb us. Tattoo palour within the hotel extremely overpriced so stay well clear off that. Has all the things u might need there a doctors room hairdressers kids play ara pool tables machines etc, gym and suana. Has local shops outside but theses are overpriced. Go to KIPA 5 mins around the corner the turkish version of Tesco saved us a fortune! Hotel is clean and everything you possible need for a good time, central location, cheap and hot! Looking to book to go back again next year! One last thing the coach transfer from airport to hotel is about hour and half but coaches all airconditioned and spacious and nice view on the way. Booked with Thomas Cook but the Thomas Cook rep was rubbish not willing to help with the room issue at beginning of holiday and didnt even see them majority of time we was there and when they was they was messing around with teenagers around the pool. And was on the smallest plane ever on the way there and back. Would book through someone else next time

we went to club excelsior me, my partner and daughter on 17/06/11. well wot can i say ..... 10/10 the staff were brill in every way they could not do enough for you especially steve, then there was jack, jay jay, mario. the entertainment was brill too with dodo and carlos. the weather was awsome 45 degrees every day and never went below 29 at night even midnight. there was entertainment all day every day. you would think it was all inc accomedation not s/c and the prices was cheap enough for food and beer. i was really gutted when it was time to go home worse than i was with other hols, cant wait to go back nxt year if i had any hols left at work id be booking again this year

We had booked to stay at another hotel in Marmaris but on arrival we were told that this hotel had been over-booked and instead we would be staying at Club Exelsior Junior. Because of this we were a little dubious about the accommodation but overall had a good holiday.
We were greeted at Reception on arrival and our bags were taken to our room. We paid £19 for air con and £7 for the safe for a week. The room was fairly big and the kitchen had all of the usual equipment (kettle, toaster, microwave, electric hobs) but is in need of an update. The main problem we had with the room was the excessive noise and lack of sound proofing. Our room over looked the pool and between 7 and 12pm the music was extremely loud from the bar. Luckily we were usually out between these hours but I would recommend anyone with small children to consider this carefully!! The noise of others staying in the hotel was also an issue as there seemed to be a lot of knocking doors/shouting throughout the day and night, which due to the paper thin walls was very loud in all rooms.
The facilities in the hotel were good and you can use any of the 3hotels, even though we were in the 'Junior' complex we mainly use the main Club Exelsior facilities. There were plently of sun beds even though some people felt the need to put their towels out at 5am! The staff were friendly and the food/drinks were ok but we went out most evenings as the meals were better in the local restaurants (particularly Bella Blu).
All in all we had a good holiday. We would consider returning to Turkey but would stay somewhere else.

after coming to marmaris for many years now we had a chanage of hotel and found our selfs aged 50 19 & 2 staying at club exelsior, stayed for 2 weeks and were coming back later in the year. the staff are all so friendly from reception to the cleaners waiters & the amazing entertainment team (carlos danielle adam jack & Dj dodo!) something for everyone of all ages, bingo to water polo kids play area, absolutely fantastic and cant wait to be back! keep up the work exelsiorrr!

stayed at the club exelsior annx just over the road from the main hotel for 10 nights , we had a brilliant time there the staff where fantastic they could not do enough for you the entertainment was brilliant from jack ,dannielle, carlos and adam the waiters mario , jack ,volkan , jay jay , ahmen and casper , osz, where fantastic made us feel so welcome as we will be going back next year in july as we made so many friends there. we also recommend having a turkish bath at the hotel its better than the public one as its more cleaner
