" The best hotel "

This has to be the best hotel I have ever stayed in, We were booked into the Sun Apartments in Icmeler but the hotel decided to close early and we were transfered to the Julian Forest, I would like to thank the owners of the Sun Apartments for closing early and allowing me to experience this beautiful and freindly hotel as I looked over the Sun Apartments and it looked no where near as good as the Julian Forest so thanks guys. Ok why is the Julian Forest so great, for a start we have the rooms which are roomy, clean and best of all quiet, the maid service is absolutely brilliant we were left a rose by the cleaners (what other hotel do you know where you get gifts off the cleaners), the manager was freindly and could not do enough for you, the staff serve you with smiles and a freindliness I have not seen in any other resort but not so much as to make it feel uncomfortable. The entertainment was good even though it was the end of season when we were there and there was only a handful of people, this did not stop them trying their best to entertain. If you enjoy you T.V of an evening there is even a channel which shows English movies all night. The drinks in the bar can be pretty pricey but then you are on holiday, if you want cheap drinks get yourself into Icmeler or stay at home, simple. Icmeler itself is a pretty place and much prettier than Marmaris although a visit to Marmaris is recommended for the covered market alone, there are plenty of places to eat in Icmeler if you feel the flexidine option provided by Julian Forest is not for you, we dined out more often than not, the Dolmus will take you to Icmeler for 1 Lira (about 50P) and will take you to the Marmaris Dolmus (you do not pay on the first Dolmus but pay 2 lira on the second)if you are going to Marmaris. The view from the room was breathtaking to say the least. The pool is clean if cold (we were there in October) so I did not go in (coward). Ther entertainment at night is worth a look even if it just to see Nico dancing this boy is a nutter and will keep you entertained all by himself. Ok my book is almost over, I can not recommend this hotel enough, whatever you read in these reviews cannot do it justice, I enjoyed it so much I have already booked in for 2 weeks in July 2010, if you are booked in then see you there.

" number 1 holiday "

just back from julian forest and have booked to go back next year we have 4 boys from 4to17 they just love it.The entertainment was first class and so was the staff, the kids club was brill you knew they were save. The manager is very nice no matter what you ask for he does his best.you have everything at your door no need to go to the town unless you want to do some shopping for clothes.ANY ONE THAT DOES NOT LIKE JULIAN FOREST NEEDS THERE HEAD LOOK AT.we all went on a boat trip it cost us £50 pounds for the 6 of us and that was your breakfast and dinner and all your drinks, it was a great day out.

Advice: go to the under ground market it is firsy class.

Activities: boat trips water fall restaurants and amaos

Good for: Beach

" fantastic "

we have just returned from a one week holiday in julian forest. Cannot speak highly enough of these apartments,a little bit out of the way but the dolmus bus was usually outside and only cost one lira each. Rooms were very clean and all the staff were very friendly. We were made to feel very welcome. We did not go for the flexi dine as we wanted to try different places to eat in Icmeler our favourite was the Champagne restaurant,we would recommend here to everybody as the food was great and as we Irish say the crack was mighty!!All the family really look forward to returning next year as we were sorry to have to go home after one week. Many thanks to all the staff of Julian Forest for a wonderful holiday in Turkey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Advice: just the right size of resort for a family holiday

Activities: Champagne ephesus

" Our Holiday "

We have just returned from having a wonderful holiday at the Julian Forest Apartments. The apartments were immaculate and the staff are very helpful. It is in a lovely stting in the forest. You can get a dolmus outside the hotel for 1 Lira that will take you into Ichmeler. The turkish bath at the hotel is a must, nice and relaxing. The entertainment guys were so funny you had no choice but to join in the fun. My only gripe about the place was the music around the pool was to loud so please please turn it down boys as people do not like it !!!!!!!!!!! Would definetly go back.

" Excellent, Superb Hotel, Staff & Food "

EXCELLENT SUPERB HOTEL. I would like to COMMEND & PRAISE ALL the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Having travelled to many countries & hotels around the world the "Julian Forest" is definitely TOP of the list!!! The Thomas Cook representative did confirm at the time of booking many people return and I will too! The Turkish Bath is a must, we wanted to bring them home with us they were fantastic. Next time I visit for longer then just one week, I will without a doubt have more then just one Turkish Bath.
So to all the new visitors to the Julian Forest, rest assured you have made the "BEST" choice. The Julian Forest Hotel is Fantastic and the Turkish People are LOVELY.

Advice: Lovely Hotel & Town

" very bad "

Wouldnt recomend this place, staff were very ignorant, maids are so huffy.
when i went for a massage, i caught a member of staff going through my handbag, and also when i wanted a woman to give me a massage, the guy insited he wanted to give me one, and was a right pervert! Very touchy feely.
Hotel was dirty
I would actually rate this 0/10

Advice: Very Dirty

" My boyfriend and I have just returned... "

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a weeks holiday at Julian Forest Apartments and had a lovely time.

Yes, it is a little way out of the resort centre but not once did we find this a problem. The Dolmus (bus) was 9 times out of 10 waiting outside our hotel and only cost 1lira each to Icmeler centre. If we were to go back we would definatley stay here again and not get anywhere closer.

We were very very impressed with our room, spacious, clean, modern, 2 balconies, quiet and free air con! Although you only get 1 loo roll for the week!!

We found all the staff very friendly and majority of them spoke very good english so easy to communicate. Although they do ask you several times about their Flexi-Dine and Turkish Baths, we didn't find them overly annoying. I instantly declined the Flexi-Dine as I thought we'd be out and about more but I wish we had taken advantage of the 3 day offer as we ended up eating here a few times and the food was brilliant, well worth taking a few mins to listen to. But, even when we said no, the waiters still made the effort to be friendly to us.

There is no cash taken at the Restaurant, bar or shop and they operate on a wristband system which you top us as and when you like at reception with a 10lira deposit. We found this quite useful as we didn't have to worry about leaving our money round the pool. The waiters give you a receipt each time you buy something so you can see how much they've taken and they even took our money and topped it up for us when we ran out!

We had a Turkish Bath at the hotel on our 1st day which cost £14 each and was lovely. We were both treated in the same room so felt very comfortable and safe. Not at all seedy as I've heard some people saying about Baths in the Town. Very nice way to start your Holiday.

BBQ Night on Wednesday was well worth the money, lovely food and entertainment. Also very impressed with the on site photographer who will take as many photos as you like with no obligation to buy.

The 2 entertainment guys were fun and kept us amused as they're a little bit crazy! They remembered everyone's names and made a point of making everyone feel welcome even if they didn't want to get involved in the activities. We weren't too keen at first but found it a relaxed way to chat to other guests.

Probably the time of year but there were always sunbeds avaiable all day and music didn't start till about 12noon so we had a few lay ins! Music and bar stopped at 12pm so didn't keep us awake either.

If you go into town to eat, we highly recommend The Love Boat, which is just off the main strip down to the beach. Slightly more expensive than the other restaurants but well, well worth it.

Would definatley recommend for couples of all ages and families.

" Very nearly perfect hotel except for... "

Very nearly perfect hotel except for the location as you needed to get a bus into the town for bars and shops. Entertainment team were very friendly and chatty. Woman in the hotel shop could get a bit moody and ignorant at times, always check your reciept as she had a habbit of over charging you! but overall, it was faultless. Would definietly recommend to everyone who is willing to take a 10minute bus ride to the nightlife.

" CANT FAULT THE HOLIDAY AT ALL. WE... "

CANT FAULT THE HOLIDAY AT ALL. WE ARRIVED BACK SATURDAY AND HAVE ALREADY PRICED TO TAKE WHOLE FAMILY NEXT YEAR. THE HOTEL IS CLEAN AND WELL EQUIPPED. THE STAFF ARE GREAT THEY CANT DO ENOUGH FOR YOU. THE HOTEL IS SITUATED FAR ENOUGH AWAY FROM MAIN RESORT AS IT IS VERY ACCESSABLE. THE BUS RUNS EVERY 10 MIN AND THEY WILL STOP WHERE EVER YOU LIKE. WE HAD A TURKISH PAMPER SESSION IN THE HOTEL 2HRS OF BATHS FACE MASKS AND MASSAGE WELL WORTH THE £25. TALK OF THE TOWN OS ALSO A GREAT TRIP TO GO ON THREE DRAG QUEENS FROM BRADFORD EXCELLENT NIGHT OUT (CHEERS BAR MAMARIS) THEY ALSO TAKE ANY FORM OF PAYMENT SO NO NEED TO CHANGE CURRENCY. ANYONE WHO COMPLAINS ABOUT THIS HOTEL MUST NEED THEIR HEADS READ.

" This was our 2nd time at the julian... "

This was our 2nd time at the julian forest appartments.cannot fault the hotel,or its staff.the rooms were large, clean and spacious.air conditioning and tv were free. rooms cleaned every day,and sheets/towels changed every few days. we upgraded to flexi dine which is half board basis.the food is lovely, but small problem with wasps!! if you ate later (after 8.30pm) this was not too much of a problem. the waiter staff were really friendly and spoke fantastic english. they all remembered us from last year.(daniel says hello!) two seperate pools, one for kids with 2 fab waterslides. only one 'happy hour' now which is a shame. the only thing to let this hotel down was the entertainment... or lack of it. last year we had snakes, belly dancers, break dancers, turkish dancers, and mini kids disco every night.unfortunately all the entertainment team have moved on,and the kids disco consisted of 2 songs and that was your lot. also nightclub music on high volume all day!!!! this is a fantastic hotel, and a credit to ahmet the manager, and if the entertainment is improved we will definately be going back.
