Well. Nice lovely clean accommodation, but pool freezing, so cold you couldn’t go in. Food rubbish and expensive in the apartments.
Key watch which u load money on a waste of time and u go through it like nothing. Import drinks 10 lira a rip off. Entertainment rubbish, food poisoning from omelette, the shop is not well stocked, and u have to pay for toilet rolls. Don’t pay for Turkish night as the belly dancer is English and is no good, plus she does things to the men in front of kids prying eyes.
Don’t go in Oct as they’re closing down as end of season. To be honest just don’t bother going.... Oh and watch your daughters with the Turkish waiters as they take a liking and then move on to the next girlie... Turkish bath ok, but be prepared its only 5 mins that’s all. We were advised to pre-book tickets on way home as being a military airport they tend to put u where ever, and also, there is a £10 entry visa which we knew nothing about. Do take drinks to airport and food, as they charge too much money £7.00 for two cans of coke, and £24 for a small pizza, and £10 for a burger king meal..... Sorry guys its not that good I wont be going back.....

Went 14.10.05 till 24.10.05
Surrounded by mountains so sun only appeared 10am till 4pm. No entertainment till 9pm so nothing to do in between. Freezing cold at night, take woolies!!! Pool ice cold kids didn’t even venture in to it. Apartments lovely and clean but overrun with wasps, all got stung several times.
Kids club only open 2 hours and they let the kids in and out so watch small ones! Restaurant very expensive as is drinks, food never hot just luke warm. Found Tommy’s bar down the road, proper sausages and real chips!!! Don’t do jolly roger boat trip with little ones, supposed to be aimed at kids but my 3 year old was told to go back to his mum as he was too small, very stressful day as he wanted to play with his 9 year old sister.
The boat trip was freezing as very windy. Rained two days no entertainment put on. Next door do Turkish bath highly recommended! Nice but wouldn’t go again.

Apartment nice we had lots of problems with door locks staff a great help just kept getting locked out every night apartment entertainment poor maybe because near end of season Icmeler fab great food pyramid restaurant a must meet Turkish Dave a nice man.
Majestic boys must be the coolest bar in town waiters the funniest people ever. Beach was a bit of a let down lots of shingle. Water sports great, people very honest we lost a mobile phone and a watch and both were returned within days. Boat trip to turtle beach a let down as there were no turtles to be seen they only come out at night.
Mud bath fun but hold your nose as smell very powerful hot spa great trip nice but very rushed given our meal minutes before we were due to swap boats we found ourselves having to rush our food markets a must cheeky people and can be rude at times but funny will definitely go back but earlier in the year.

The hotel was on of the best we have stayed in a week was not long enough.
The staff are very friendly and will do anything possible for you. the rooms were cleaned every day. Myself my boyfriend and our two friends stayed in a two bedroom apartment we had two bedrooms and also two bathrooms we also had air con. The hotel is about a half an hour walk in to Icmeler but there is always taxis and buses that only cost about 36p to get you in to the town. The only thing that I did not like about turkey is the hassle that you get walking past restaurants and shops.
The beach is ok and the sea is very clean and clear. I would go for a Turkish bath its an experience! Also a boat trip is on of the best ways to see turkey. I am going to go back next year I feel that there is to much to see and a week is not long enough and i would like to go back to Julian forest.

This was my 1st time in turkey and all I can say it was ace!!!
The cleaning facilities were very good! The staff are great you can have a good laugh with them all, but the bar staff were fantastic especially Halluke and Gurcan (sorry if I've spelt the names wrong) The pools were very clean, they were cleaned out every single night. I met loads of new friends which was cool! The entertainment staff were ace, everybody loved the cartoon hero song thanks nick and les!!
The whole 2 weeks I was there was ace its very relaxing and enjoyable. The food and drink was good but a little bit expensive but it don’t matter because you would get happy hour which was good! All I can say is that the holiday was brilliant and I would go back any time. x x x x x x x

Our time spent in the Julian Forest hotel was brilliant!!! The staff in the hotel were so friendly and good craic!! The hotel was very clean including the rooms and the pools!! The Bar was a wee bit too expensive, however the night entertainment was good. The break dancers were class! The Dolmus' were very handy and cheap.
We met so many nice people including Chloe and her family. hope to see you soon! love ya loads! Big thumbs up for the Kingsland staff who were so lovely! The receptionist was very helpful and very good looking! so was Mehmet from the shop. Thanks for a brilliant holiday! hope to come back soon. Xx

This was our 3rd time in turkey but the first time staying in Icmeler. The hotel accommodation was of a very high standard and the facilities were good. The staff were friendly and approachable as was our Rep. Daryl. Transport into the centre is easy as the local Dolmus or taxis run up to the hotel every 10 mins, a "train" also runs up approx. every 2 hours.
However there are a few points I feel others should know about before booking this hotel:
The hotel is at the VERY back of Icmeler and a good 5-6 mins. on Dolmus (only the foolish would be prepared to walk into the centre and back).
The hotel operates a "wrist watch" system for buying food and drinks etc. The idea is this - you pay a deposit for a plastic watch, at reception you add money to the watch then you you just hand over the watch to be scanned and the amount deducted. It appears to be good but soon becomes a nuisance - if you are 1 Lira short of the amount required, you have to go back to your room to get money to go to reception to add it onto the watch, then go back and reorder.
There is no facility for giving the kids their own (we have 2 kids and in the heat they need to be kept watered) but if they lose the watch, well you loose more than just the amount on the watch!!
The whole 2 weeks we were there, 22/08/2005, not once did we see a pool attendant clean out any of the pools.
The bar prices were felt to be higher than normal.

Would thoroughly recommend Club Julian Forest to anyone with a family, or indeed anyone wanting to get away for a time of relaxation.
The hotel operates a wrist-band system whereby money is paid in at reception and put on a wristband. As you purchase drinks/food etc the amount is deducted and you are given a receipt to sign - it also gives you your outstanding balance after each transaction.
The hotel is kept exceptionally clean and the rooms are tidied for us every day. There was a television featuring Sky in our room, and also air conditioning, which we did not have to pay extra for, which is often the case. The day we left our suitcases were secured in a downstairs room and when we had finished at the pool we were given a room to use for a shower, etc, with clean towels for us all - again no extra charge.
The pool is clean and there is a small second pool featuring a waterslide and flume. There is day time water entertainment for the children which is non-intrusive to adults and generally takes place in the waterslide pool.
Daytime food at the bar area is not overly expensive, and there is quite an extensive range of food. However, we once ate there in the evening and found that that this is not such good value for money. I cannot comment on the evening entertainment as we went into the town at nighttimes. Buses run regularly from outside the hotel (a 5 minute bus ride) at a very low cost. Taxis are also available for about 5 euros each way. We did however take advantage of the 'buy one get one free' drinks offer between 7 - 9 pm each evening!
The staff are extremely friendly and at the time of our visit the reps were operating a system whereby towels left on sunbeds in the morning unaccompanied were taken away - an added bonus!
I would thoroughly recommend Club Julian Forest to anyone visiting Turkey. The only age group I would not recommend it to would be groups of teenagers looking for a wild holiday. Otherwise for us it could not be faulted - we have two daughters aged 15 and 11 and they had a great time too. We compared our hotel with friends who visited elsewhere in Turkey at the same time as we did, for much the same cost - we had by far the better hotel.

This was are first time abroad and it was brilliant the apartments were always spotless clean and all of the staff were very nice people I couldn’t say a bad word about any of them.
The only downfall was the entertainment it was rubbish the toddlers enjoyed but people my age in there teens and adults wouldn’t like it at all but apart from that I would definitely go again and I highly recommend it to everyone. oh yes and I would like to thank all of the staff as I couldn’t of met nicer people, hi everyone.

The Julian Forest is the best hotel I have ever been to the staff are dead friendly and Memet from the shop is fit. We had the best time there but we never stayed there of a night we went into Icmeler on the Dolmus which stops right by the hotel it is 1.50 lira and it takes about 10 minutes to get into the centre.
We usually went to the CD bar next to the mirage hotel cos it was a good bar. There are loads of wasps and these big dragonflies that look like helicopters come by the pool of a night but they’re not harmful. If you’re going to go to Icmeler I’d recommend the Julian Forest cos it is a boss hotel and I cant wait till next year when we go back.

I stayed at the Julian Forest apartments from the 22nd of July to the 6th of August and I had the most wonderful time there.
Yes it was a bit set back from the centre of Icmeler but the surroundings were beautiful. The hotel itself was absolutely gorgeous inside and extremely clean. The staff were the friendliest people i have ever met so caring for all your needs.
The waiters were very friendly and always ready to help, the bar staff were also very friendly and talkative, and reception were very helpful also.

Its very clean all over inside and out very pricey here the pool was ice cold you only have about 7 hours of sun this time of year the only thing that is off putting about this hotel is the wasps and I mean wasps.
This was my fourth time in turkey anybody who likes boat trips you must do the lazy boat trip its only £12 for three people.
