My boyfriend and I have just returned...

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a weeks holiday at Julian Forest Apartments and had a lovely time.
Yes, it is a little way out of the resort centre but not once did we find this a problem. The Dolmus (bus) was 9 times out of 10 waiting outside our hotel and only cost 1lira each to Icmeler centre. If we were to go back we would definatley stay here again and not get anywhere closer.
We were very very impressed with our room, spacious, clean, modern, 2 balconies, quiet and free air con! Although you only get 1 loo roll for the week!!
We found all the staff very friendly and majority of them spoke very good english so easy to communicate. Although they do ask you several times about their Flexi-Dine and Turkish Baths, we didn't find them overly annoying. I instantly declined the Flexi-Dine as I thought we'd be out and about more but I wish we had taken advantage of the 3 day offer as we ended up eating here a few times and the food was brilliant, well worth taking a few mins to listen to. But, even when we said no, the waiters still made the effort to be friendly to us.
There is no cash taken at the Restaurant, bar or shop and they operate on a wristband system which you top us as and when you like at reception with a 10lira deposit. We found this quite useful as we didn't have to worry about leaving our money round the pool. The waiters give you a receipt each time you buy something so you can see how much they've taken and they even took our money and topped it up for us when we ran out!
We had a Turkish Bath at the hotel on our 1st day which cost £14 each and was lovely. We were both treated in the same room so felt very comfortable and safe. Not at all seedy as I've heard some people saying about Baths in the Town. Very nice way to start your Holiday.
BBQ Night on Wednesday was well worth the money, lovely food and entertainment. Also very impressed with the on site photographer who will take as many photos as you like with no obligation to buy.
The 2 entertainment guys were fun and kept us amused as they're a little bit crazy! They remembered everyone's names and made a point of making everyone feel welcome even if they didn't want to get involved in the activities. We weren't too keen at first but found it a relaxed way to chat to other guests.
Probably the time of year but there were always sunbeds avaiable all day and music didn't start till about 12noon so we had a few lay ins! Music and bar stopped at 12pm so didn't keep us awake either.
If you go into town to eat, we highly recommend The Love Boat, which is just off the main strip down to the beach. Slightly more expensive than the other restaurants but well, well worth it.
Would definatley recommend for couples of all ages and families.

Very nearly perfect hotel except for the location as you needed to get a bus into the town for bars and shops. Entertainment team were very friendly and chatty. Woman in the hotel shop could get a bit moody and ignorant at times, always check your reciept as she had a habbit of over charging you! but overall, it was faultless. Would definietly recommend to everyone who is willing to take a 10minute bus ride to the nightlife.

my family and i have just arrived back from icemeler and the julian forest apartments. and i must say that this is the most friendly and clean place i have ever been too. and the staff are great . iwould recomend these apartments to anyone. the only downfall is that you are abit out of the way but if you dont mind jumping on a dolmus you will be fine. Great Holiday.

cant fault the holiday at all. we arrived back saturday and have already priced to take whole family next year. the hotel is clean and well equipped. the staff are great they cant do enough for you. the hotel is situated far enough away from main resort as it is very accessable. the bus runs every 10 min and they will stop where ever you like. we had a turkish pamper session in the hotel 2hrs of baths face masks and massage well worth the £25. talk of the town os also a great trip to go on three drag queens from bradford excellent night out (cheers bar mamaris) they also take any form of payment so no need to change currency. anyone who complains about this hotel must need their heads read.

This was our 2nd time at the julian forest appartments.cannot fault the hotel,or its staff.the rooms were large, clean and spacious.air conditioning and tv were free. rooms cleaned every day,and sheets/towels changed every few days. we upgraded to flexi dine which is half board basis.the food is lovely, but small problem with wasps!! if you ate later (after 8.30pm) this was not too much of a problem. the waiter staff were really friendly and spoke fantastic english. they all remembered us from last year.(daniel says hello!) two seperate pools, one for kids with 2 fab waterslides. only one 'happy hour' now which is a shame. the only thing to let this hotel down was the entertainment... or lack of it. last year we had snakes, belly dancers, break dancers, turkish dancers, and mini kids disco every night.unfortunately all the entertainment team have moved on,and the kids disco consisted of 2 songs and that was your lot. also nightclub music on high volume all day!!!! this is a fantastic hotel, and a credit to ahmet the manager, and if the entertainment is improved we will definately be going back.

Julien Forest is a fantastic and friendly hotel, staff try to do the best they can and are very helpful. As I am 16 I made freinds with not only the people that were staying in the hotel but people who worked there aswell. I would like to specially mention Josh, Ismael, Adnan, Gulsum and for the DJ who we called Martin who is the best entertainer in the world! I will keep in touch with all of them.
Julien Forest is well kept, clean and is situated in great surroundings. Easy to get into Icmeler and Marmaris and as we never go back to the same place we are making excuses to come back!
Ahmet the manager also takes time to speak to guests of the hotel and does know nearly all the guests by name.

Me and my Boyfriend stayed here in June o8
We have been to Turkey Many Many times over the past 10 years and found Club Julian Forest to be one of the best we have stayed in,it was clean, the room we had was on the 4th floor,we had a large telly, microwave, normal sized fridge, air conditioning. the bedroom had 2 single beds and lots of storage space and the living/kitchen area was excellent, bathroom was quite big too.
The Pool area was quite big lots of sunbeds, plenty of activities for adults and children going on during the day(no hassle to join in) Food was a bit dear to buy in hotel shop though.
It was a 30 mins walk in to Icmeler but a nice one,but you could get the bus if you wanted, and yes the Hotel is probable the last one printed on the map (but we went to relax and sit in the sun)And thats what we did
Well worth it would go again

fantastic as a family we could find no faults. the staff from the manager down were terrific. i have never been to a holiday where the manager took time out to talk to all of his guests and sit and have a drink with them even paying!!
if i could afford a second home it would definately be in turkey what lovely people.
the julin forest is top marks and we can not wait to return hopefully next year. we are busy saving as we spent so much on all of the great bargains in turkey.
if you can not decide where to go you will find no better than the julian forest in icemeler

My partners 2nd time at the resort and my first. Excellant appearance, very good and clean accommodation, with a friendly atmosphere. I am now considering returning in June 09. (returning to a resort is something that i have never done before).
Loud music by the pool every day all day, is the only a minor negative but all in all very very nice hotel and the staff can speak very good english and always around to help.
Bar facilities and bar food throughout the day is of high standard.
I recommend anyone for this hotel. But beware this is a resort which couples do mainly attend, the singletons who attended were slightly annoyed as it was about a 10 minute bus ride into icmeler. (30 min walk) However saying that a bus is outside the front of the hotel all the time ready to take people into town for 1 lira. (0.45pence).
Lastly: anyone going must have a Turkish bath which is 20 lira. Well well worth it i tell you

The accommodation is fantastic....

The accommodation is fantastic. Simply put full turkish baths, jewellers, free aircon in the bedrooms, restaurant bar and rooms cleaned daily (towels and sheets changed every 2 days). Better than this was the warm hearted friendliness of the staff.
Please ignore other reviews that mutter about the distance. We hardly ever had to wait for the bus (Dolmus) to the resort centre and it is a short 5/10 minute ride. The hotel entertainment was good, especially at the pool during the day. As the resort centre was so easy to get to we spent most of the evenings in the resort centre but the people that stayed in the hotel for the evening did seem to enjoy it.
The bars and resurants made a real effort to ensure everyone had a good time. Between the beech and the main drag is a side street with some nice restaurants. The best by far for us was Charlies but we also enjoyed sampling everywhere and never had a bad meal.
People have been saying the resort is more expensive but this is mainly due to the exchange rate being so low. Hopefully it will rise again soon but make sure your prepared before you go. Meal for 2 costs about 50 YTL.
Julian Forest has all the convenience of being within 5/10 minutes of the resort centre yet being surrounded by the beauty of Turkey at it's best.
We'll be back next year and we cannot wait!!!
