The best place in the world
First things first hiya to everyone at esra, i wish i was there with u now but i'll see u very soon and i cant wait to see u all. The best thing about esra is that it feels like your at home and not on holiday because the staff make u feel so welcome from the brilliant weather to the great food and relaxation u will never want to leave. one of the best nights at esra was my first one because it was turkish night and its brilliant from the bbq (cooked by my bf alex)to the dancing at the end of the night but the fire show will amaze young children because it amazed me and im 18 i have never seen anything like it in my life. I made lots of friends in turkey and im still in touch with them now i wud just like to say to alex, joseph, ali, steven, michael, mustapha, christiano,jj, charlie, ozzy, jack, altan, murat and any1 that i've forgotten a big thank you for making my holiday so special and i hope the next time im there its even better i love u all loads and cant wait to see u. If your ever thinking about going to turkey then esra is the place to be and i hope u enjoy yourself as much as i did like i've said to everyone i know its the best place in the world and i wouldn't change a thing about it. ENJOY ESRA I DID!!!

What a fantastic time
What can i say. this hotel is out of this world. the rooms are very spacious.the lads are brilliant. The turkish bath in the hotel is so relaxing. With 4 swimming pools to choose from one of them has even got three water slides in it .Plenty of activities going on in the hotel every night if you dont fancy a walk.Sky tv in all the rooms and its free, it kept the kids quiet on a morning!. The hotel food is a touch on the expensive side but theres a lot of other restaurants near by to choose from.the best two that we found were nigels and the family door, they are both down the same street so you cant miss them, and when you have had enough to eat then its a swift walk down the road to the cheers bar.A fantasic night every night loads of entertainment and if you have kids there even a play area inside with swings and slides so you can have a drink in peace.this is a must for all who are planing a visit to altinkum in the near future.
first time
stayed at esra me and my family went to turkey for first time enjoyed it staff at esra are fab brilliant with the kids apartments are very clean as is all the rest of the complex if anybody going shortly say boo to fella in shop and hello to charlie from charley
3rd year at the esra
hi there ,we been to the esra 3 times in as many years,we found the apt clean and large,we were a family of 6, and had a two bedroomed apt,the first year we went 2001 we had one 1 bed apt and 1 two bed apt, as we were a family of 9 we had the time of our lives thats why we keep returning, the turkish night at the ersa was very poor ,food not good ,but might of changed by now, drinks a lot dearer then outside, and we brought a crate of efes to drink in around the pool ,as efes was not being sold at the esra anymore we were told that we would be chucked out, as we had 4 kids with us we were very shocked the youngest only 3 at the time, but thanks too our tour rep we stayed but we were banned from the pool and rest for the rest of the holiday, this did not bother us as the 3rd beach is a must , and the food at the esra was not. I love Altinkum but would not stay at the esra again, next year we are renting private and booking our own flights a lot cheaper.
Fun at the Esra
Our family has just returned from the Esra. Although the entertainment was good and the staff really friendly we found the bar noise went on too late. Our apartment was right above the bar and the music got turned up when people started drifting away which meant we couldn't sleep until gone 3am.We didn't appreciate that when we had booked to go on trips where we had to get up early the next day. We discovered that althought the meals at the Esra were cheap the drinks were not and the price of drinks went up in out second week (so we started going to the Sky Bar instead) Recommend the Swan Bar in Altinkum for a fun night and the singing dog Buddy was brilliant!
Brilliant Hotel
We came back from Altinkum last weekend after spending a week at the Esra. It was our first visit to Turkey, and we have bought an apartment there, and we were pleasantly surprised. Our apartment was big, clean and had a fantastic view of the pool, being on the ground floor. I would highly recommend it. There was myself, my husband and our two daughters, 8 and 3 and they had a great time. The pool were really nice as was the restaurant and all the staff were so helpful and friendly, including the shop staff and hairdresser (who actually got married while we were there). Because we booked a flight only, the children weren't invited to the clubs, but they don't usually go anyway, preferring to be around the pool but the night entertainment was great. We all had a Turkish bath with John and I had a massage after with Memet. Both of them were very professional and friendly and the children thought it was great fun being covered in bubbles! Definately worth the GBP 8.00. The Saturday market was worth the visit, although extremely hot! Also, a trip to the town is also worth the while and it is quite busy at night with a mix of family and adult bars/discos and restaurants. The food is great and we were taken somewhere near the Saturday market to a Turkish buffet restaurant which was REALLY NICE but unfortunately I can't remember what it's called! Next time we go, maybe I'll just take English money because most of the people give prices in sterling and I only had Turkish Lire - they seem to take Euros, Sterling and Lire equally. We would definately go back to the Esra again. Jenny
we love altinkum
just got back from altinkum we stayed at the esra apartments again best hotel in altinkum they have just been refurbished and they have built a new pool with water slides we stayed at the esra in 2002 when we arrived the staff still remembered us from 3 years ago which was nice we had a top holiday, memet is still at the esra he does the turkish baths, if anyone is goin to esra say hi to him from me n wayne, memet is lovely,go to didam karoke bar , top nite out the beer is cheaper there, the swan lake resturant is a really nice place to eat, and nigels resturant was spot on, one of there waiters "mad max"entertained our 3 children while we had a peaceful meal goin back next year and cant wait, they have a waterpark in altinkum and the bus picks you up from the hotel free of charge and brings you back home again, the waterpark is only small but it is still a fun n cheap day out, if your thinking about going to turkey go to altinkum and stay at the esra you will not be dissapointed from caroline
