Just back from Turkey and the Dedeman Apartments .The apart. were very clean and had everything you needed for self catering the rooms were cleaned daily and the Turkish people were very, very friendly and helpful.
The hill to dedeman was very steep but we were glad of the hill in the heat as there was always a breeze the pool was excellent and you could use all the hotel facilities.
I recommend the hotel and the resort and if you go to stay you really should visit the Mandarin Restaurant on the main street the food was excellent an the staff were just the best they made us very welcome and they couldn’t do enough for our children so I really think it is worth a visit!

Altinkum is a fairly small resort (have just had my 12th holiday there in 5 years). It is clean, quiet and the people are extremely friendly.
The Burak hotel is in a very central location. Believe the brochures when they say its 100 metres from the beach. The staff are helpful and like to practice their English on you.
Rooms are basic but perfectly adequate, although storage space can be a bit of a problem.
Breakfast is typically Turkish (bread, cheese, olives etc) although a full English can be ordered and paid for separately.
There is no organised entertainment at the hotel but there’s plenty going on in the resort so it doesn't pose a problem.
Bars and restaurants are plentiful and even though the menus are similar the food can be quite different in each (I’m an expert on meatballs in Altinkum restaurants). The hasslers used to be a problem but they have quietened down considerably over the past few years. Remember it’s their job and a polite "no thanks" usually does the trick.
Altinkum is ideal for sun lovers. There’s 3 beaches to choose from but I think that the best way to get or top-up your tan is on a boat trip. There's many boats to choose from that all provide lunch included in the price.
The boats are all "parked" in the marina (I use the term loosely) and tickets can be brought directly on the day you want to go. Remember these guys work on Turkish time-they say it starts at 10am but don’t tend to move until 10.30-11am. But does it really matter?
All in all Altinkum is a great holiday venue-stunning beaches and friendly locals. Have a great time!
