I stayed at the hotel with my family for a week. It was an all round fine holiday besides the noisy girls that were in the room opposite us.
They weren’t rude or anything the only problem was they had numerous boys coming to their room at all hours of the night.
I have two young boys that were trying to sleep, and one night 4 boys were running in and out of the room and it was incredibly hard to sleep.
Also there was a foul stench departing from their room, and nothing was done about it for the entire week.
Besides that it was an ok holiday, I wouldn’t go again as the food was terrible, boring entertainment and beyond rude staff.
DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
Also we were on the 8th floor and with 2 lifts for 8 floors it was beyond fair, when there was a group of young boys on the 1st floor, as we had to wait ages to get the lift to our room.
And there were never any sun beds available as greedy people got them before we had finished breakfast,
Selfish or what?!
As I said don’t waste your money

Where do I start? On reading other peoples remarks we thought each to their own.
How I wish we had took note and changed the hotel.
On arriving we had to wait one hour and a half for the room. Once in we went to what they call the pool area; you could not move because the sunbeds were all pulled up to the edge of the pool. The two children were upset because they could not stand up in the water. O.k. some one has already wrote what are arm bands for how stupid; they cannot have any children.
As for it being the Germans hogging the sun beds; try the greedy English’s.
For the room, the cleaners only ever changed the bed they never cleaned the bath or wiped down as for under the bed well that was awful. There was no air conditioning and let me tell you it was very hot, we could not close the patio door at night because we would have melted. As for the view, what view?
The food was not up to scratch; I will say it did get better when the Spanish came.
Entertainment if you call making parrots skate board and do the tricks they made them do is cruel.
Let me praise the young lady called Bee that did children’s club, was a breath of fresh air, she loved her job, and you could tell you could not fault her with the kids.
Why do these hotels sell rubber rings and air beds if you cannot use them, we, and other people had quite a few arguments with this, in the end they let the children use them. They also need to fix the tiles in the pool as my wife grazed all her toes.
Now I have added my opinion all I can say is if you are thinking of going there think very carefully, as I wish I had.
The people that enjoy this hotel have got it cheap we paid 1450 so I will let you make up your own mind. I am sure you will write on this page to let me know. If you gave me this holiday free the answer would be shove it.

Had a wonderful time... these people that travel in October and expect the sun to be the same as it is in July and August... Also, yes, there is no kids pool... the hotel does not say it has a kids pool... nor do any of the brochures or internet!
The rooms are cleaned daily, spotlessly clean... food very good, plenty of variety and even a Vegetarian selection and a Kids selection (ok... always burgers and sausage, but isn’t that what kids like?)
People are under the misconception that drinks are included in Half Board and even Full Board... they are not... that's what they call "All Inclusive".
We all enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Never again, I have two small kids there is no kids pool. The tiles are missing at the bottom of the pool, where I cut my foot.
We paid a lot of money for this; they didn’t even clean the rooms very well. AND if you are near the far end of the pool forget about a suntan you have to be right in the corner.
Never again, they wouldn’t even give my kids a glass of water in the snack bar as it was gone half ten.

I was concerned about visiting this hotel after having read some of the reports on here, but I really needn't have been worried at all.
The room was spotless, cleaned every day, beds made and towels changed.
While there were queues for the bar the staff were friendly and polite. The food was great, always hot; yes, there is a bit of Spanish food but then again yes, you are in Spain. Chips available for lunch and dinner, and that would be my main gripe about the food - but if that's my only complaint well then that's not too bad. If you get fed up with the food, I can recommend the Chinese over the road!
You need to be out at about 8am to get a decent spot for your sun lounger, not because of the Germans but because of the English.
The entertainment was great for the kids, the magic show was quite enjoyable, but the rest of it was the same rubbish you get elsewhere.
All in all, great value for money, and I wish I'd gone for 2 weeks instead of one.

My girlfriend and I spent one week at the Greigo Mar from the 25th July 2007. It was a 3* Hotel and we booked it on a half board basis.
The actual location of the Hotel I did not really like. It was within walking distance from both the beach and the aqua park however the walk to the beach was off putting with the amount of steps through the town centre we had to take.
We found that the Hotels along the beach would be a better choice (location terms). Also, there seemed to be a lot of dog lovers/walkers in the area and because of this there was noticeable dog business in the street each day.
The rooms were basic 3* standard and always clean. The reception area (including the toilets) were always unclean and smelly during the day. The maintenance team are very friendly and quick to fix any faults. On one evening our balcony door would not lock and it was fixed just after breakfast the next day.
The breakfast was good every morning with fruit, cereals, and the usual full English however, at dinner time this was not always the case. I found there was no consistency during evening meals. Sometimes it was good variety and good quality and the next day it would be poor. Two nights we decided to eat out because of this.
This is the first time I have been to a hotel where I never once used the pool/ pool area.
The pool area was completely over crowded. There is only space for two sun loungers deep around the pool (and even this is squashing them in) you could not have your own personal space even if you wanted to.
I believe the room numbers to go beyond 1000, if the hotel was even a quarter full, this pool area would not suffice in my opinion.
I would definitely go back to Torremolinos but I would not visit this hotel again as we seen a lot of other Hotels along the beach front that looked more appealing.

I would not wish this hotel on my worst enemy!
Arrived about 10pm, 30 people + at the bar, two members of staff serving. Spanish or "paying guests" go straight to the bar without queuing, if you are wearing an all incl wrist band you have to wait in line like 3rd class citizens.
We were all inclusive and had booked last September. We requested a room with balcony with pool view if possible. 2 adults 2 kids. Our room as specified was for a max of 2 persons! Our view was of run down residential towers blocks whose idea of getting rid of rubbish was to tip it over their balconies.
The kids had a sofa bed that was broken, and NO bedding was supplied at all during our stay. We were only supplied with two towels, the showers leaked huge puddles of water into the room (won't call it an apartment) fearing an accident we had to use these towels to mop the floor.
Staff are very very rude will only address you in Spanish, talk about you while you are standing in front of them, various members of staff had my kids in tears at times.
ONE pool for 900+ people no paddling area for little ones. Sunbeds are stacked and then CHAINED AND LOCKED until 9am in the morning, plenty of beds but no room for them.
Beds are 4 deep all around the 4 corners of the pool, no chance of even putting your feet down at the side of the beds because you are packed in so tight. If you're lucky enough to get an umbrella, don't leave it, as the Spanish will take it as soon as your back is turned!
Food passable as long as you want chips with everything. My kids gave up the will to eat in the end. Kids are only allowed 1 drink, ice cream, or ice pop at a time.
Entertainment is the pits, although hotel states A/C in all rooms half of them only have basic cold air vents (ours dripped water all over the floor... that joined the puddle from the shower!) Staff are used to hearing so many complaints they don't bother listening to you.
Dodgy pipes lead from our bathroom out of an open window, these mysteriously disappeared after the 4th day? Despite all the problems we were amazed when repair man turned up to fix our TOWEL RAIL! (hadn't even noticed it was broken).
Check out by 11am, holding room is just a dark cupboard, no lock no showers any a/c.
We paid £1300 for 4 for 1 week. Ended up taking the kids out to local water park twice just to get them away.
On the positive pool is cleaned everyday ( but watch the broken tiles on the bottom) two members of the staff were ok "Luis" and "Juan" who are on the pool bar.
The female members of staff would find it hard to crack an egg... let alone a smile.
If you haven't booked, please don't.

I think some of the people who have written reviews on this hotel have actually stayed somewhere else!
It is certainly not the best place we have ever stayed and it certainly is not the worst, but for a three star hotel both my husband and I agree that the place was exceptionally good value for money.
The room was clean and beds and towels changed each day. The food in the main restaurant was superb. The Hot and Cold buffet catered for all needs. The hot food was beautiful, whether it is breakfast, lunch or evening meal, you could not fault it.
The only fault we found was that the pool really is a little small for the size of the hotel and there is a free for all to get towels on the beds quite early of a morning, failing that you can always go down to the beach, which is not an ordeal like some say, although you do have quite a lot of steps, there is a lift to take you down if you would rather do it that way.
After reading some of the reviews I was dreading the holiday, but we have come back with the thought of rebooking again at some stage, so please don’t let all those horror stories put you off.
Go and enjoy! Greigo Mar, we will see you again sometime - that’s a promise!

We read all the comments about this hotel before we went, and were really worried about how it would be!
We spent a week there -2 adults and 3 children- and had a fab time. We went all inclusive, and can honestly say we thought it was fantastic value.
The food was fresh, plentiful, and varied. The staff we experienced were helpful and polite.
The pool was lovely, the towels and bedding were changed every day, and nothing was too much trouble for the reception staff. The entertainment was fine for the kids, and anyone expecting 'las Vegas’ shows should book up for las Vegas!!
The beach was a pleasant walk and lovely in the evenings too. We are looking forward to booking up again for next year!!

I found that Hotel Griego Mar is more of a family hotel more than anything. The entertainment on a night was only for children so we found it rubbish. Also the entertainment was done in 4 languages so it took all night to get a sentence out of the entertainers.
The food was ok but you best go for first sitting so you have a hot meal rather than a cold one because the food is just left under the heaters during the restaurant times.
When we arrived at the hotel we were expecting a one bed roomed apartment which we thought would be one bedroom and a sitting room and bathroom but all we got was a bedroom and bathroom.
There were 4 of us sharing this room which wasn't ideal as we were 2 couples. There was only 1 double bed, one single bed and a chair that folded down to a single bed. Really not good enough when there is 2 couples.
I am also pregnant so having to sleep on a chair/bed wasn't ideal. The night life wasn't that good. The best thing to do is to go to another apartment of town which has a 24hr square full of entertainment.
Taxi is cheap but always ask how much before you get in because they'll try and ask for more. There is also a train that takes you from one end of malaga to another and its really cheap.
Only 1euro15cent. The buses are the same and they all run regular.

We have just returned from a week all inclusive our children are 10 and 14.The room was quite small for four of us but the bathroom was quite big ,the balcony was very small not very nice views.
The hotel is in quite a built up area if you like a sea view you will be disappointed. The beach is a good 15 min walk away down 181 steps although it is a pleasant walk with little shops all along the way but remember there are 181 steps back up!
The food is nice but had enough after a week, there was always snacks till midnight, could get to the bar quickly.
Plenty of sun beds but nowhere to put them, people were putting towels on them from 7 in the morning. A trip to the water park is worthwhile tickets are cheap at the reception and you get to jump the queue and it’s only a 10 min walk away. Also the crocodile park is good and worth a trip.
We were told there was a huge market on every Sunday but its just a car boot .The evening entertainment was rubbish really scraping the barrel we went out into town most nights. If you like the sun go to floor 8 there you will find the rooftop with a few sun beds and a shower it is very peaceful and sunny all day although the view is a bit crap.
We got a taxi to the hotel from the airport but be careful you don’t get ripped off ask the price first, we got charged 25 euros at the hotel it should have been 15.The maids were spot on they changed towels every day and made the beds, hotel was clean and reception helpful.
Don’t buy water from the vending machine you can buy it 60 cents from the bar. The holiday was good value for money but I think you only get what you pay for and if you want that bit extra then go ahead and pay for it.

It was an average holiday, food was horrible though, we had to eat out 6 of the 9 days we spent there. The staff were far from polite, and we had to request for clean towels and 3 occasions, isn't it just common knowledge to change them everyday?!
We to were on the 8th floor, and witnessed the 4 noisy young ladies. They weren't rude but when two of them strolled in at lunchtime in next to nothing, looking like they had been dragged out of the sea, it out a downer on the 2nd day of our holiday. They had music played loudly at all hours of the night we were room 1817 and I think they were room 1820 or 1819 either way I heard their music being played loudly, also heard them hollering for who went into the shower and in what order.
But to top off my negative comments, it was a nice area and I would go again giving that those noisy girls didn't go the same time as us.
