Cortijo Blanco Hotel Reviews
Easy to find, clean and tidy, beautiful gardens. LOvely banana trees and arches of flowers. Staff constantly cleaning. Entertainment for children although mine were grown up.
Excellent, friendly staff, especially if you tried to speak a little Spanish. Good food. Many varied dishes not all burger and chips like some places. Food seemed to be served all day and plentiful choices of alcohol on the all inclusive deal. Even cocktails were included in the price. Only a deposit required for tennis, we managed to lose one ball but stilll got our deposit back, no problems at all. Parking available for our hire car, free buses to local places we didn't use.
Only thing letting the place down were the clientele from Northern Britain, otherwise excellent.
- Advice: Asked for and got a quiet room away from entertainment
- Board Basis:All Inclusive
- Tour Operator:Booked Independently

This hotel is very beautiful and typically spanish. It is really clean and gardens are very well ept with retty flowers all around. Rooms are basic but clean and maids come every day.The food definately let the hotel down. We went with an open mind but it was very repetative, breakfast was nice but the rest of the meals were not good really. The area was quite with no strip as such and only 2 shops that sell papers sweets snacks and small gifts. Ther is a supermarket 2 mins walk away. The beach is a goo 15 min walk when you come ot of hotel turn right. we went once and was very disapponted it was very shaley and edge of the sea there were loads of rough stones that really hur when you stood on them. Also there wasnt much there just restaurants again no shops. the hotel provides a daily bus t puerto benus itleaves at 10.30 and is ree which is great. You can only come ack at 12.30 o 6.30 though so... Its worth a visit for shopping but not as good made out. We went to gibralter , we made our own way there it is 5 euro each way on the bus then if you walk o te rock and get a tour mini bus its about £20 each for the tour and its ell worth it monkeys are fab!!!

I have stayed at this hotel for years, and absolutely love it! The last two years as a family we decided to have a change, as we have been going there for the last 8 holidays, but we are going to be going there again next year- and I can't wait!
The staff are fantastic- very friendly.
The entertainment is very very good, and caters for everyone.
The hotel provides it's own kids club, my kids love going, they win certificates and medals for each activity. And there are also activities for us adults- my husband and I didn't join in with these until the last couple of holidays, and really enjoyed it,meeting lots of new friends.
For me, the food is great, unless you are a fussy eater, and always plenty of room to eat in the restaurants.
The beach is about a 10 min walk, but I hate sand so never go. You can walk along the beach to Puerto Banus in about 15-20 mins too.
At the end of the day, I think this hotel is like marmite- you either love it or hate it, but it is much nicer than any high rise- it is quaint and gives you all you need for an All-inclusive holiday- you get exactly what you pay for in my opinion, a 3*, so be realistic with your expectations! Don't go there if you think you are staying in anything more than that.
I have also booked a girly holiday there next year- a fanatastic base to go to Puerto Banus for the night life!!
- Advice: We usually hire a car for 3 days. The supermarket/nearby shop have info on tours. Lots of markets to go to.

Absolutely shocking hotel from start to finish. I read the reviews before we booked and thought, we there's always some people who just cant help but winge.. BUT seriously the service doesn't exist, the rooms are like prison cells, extremely loud music and noise until 2, 3 AM. No chance of aircon anywhere. We had t move rooms, and then ended up swapping some of the noise for uncontrolled gangs of kids running and swearing freely. Needless to say, we checked out after 3 days to find some civilisation. Seriously, this is the worse "hotel" we have ever stayed in, and we've stayed in a LOT. Do yourself a favour, don't go there!!
- Advice: Don't do it! It's truly a schocking experience!

Just back from the Cortijo Blanco on 4 August (2010)after a 10 night holiday with my husband and two daughters. Although I read the reviews before we left, I was a bit wary at going to 3* as we usually stay in 4*. I need not have worried as we thought the Hotel was just brill - food great, hotel staff lovely, gardens constantly being tended to and very pretty. Entertainment was great and the kids especially enjoyed it (age 8 & 7).
Usually when we go on holiday, the all inclusive restaurants are very busy and we have had some holidays where we have had really lengthy queues. This was never the case here and there were always seats available in the restaurant.
For our first three days we lazed by the main swimming pool. There was a baby pool near our room (beside the tennis courts) and it was only upon speaking to another guest that we found the children's pool at the front of the complex (come out of reception, cross at the zebra crossing). This was a quieter area and sunbeds & umbrellas were always available.
All in all, the hotel was really nice and we had a brilliant holiday and also met some really nice people! Would definitely go back - only thing that would put us of was the transfer on the coach took about 1 hour 45 minutes - I would definitely recommend booking a taxi from the Airport which costs €67.

Stayed at this hotel in July. Very Clean, staff freindly and plenty of seating/space/tables both in the restaurants and bar areas.
(Outside bar and stage, and also an indoor bar which opened just in the evening.)
Food plentiful, well cooked and much choice although the usual all inclusive style found in most spanish hotels,so if you are fussy and only like english food, your choice will be much less.
Room was very clean and spacius, although not air conditioned, and we struggled with this. The cheers bar across the road rents out fans for 2 euro a day, or 10 for the week. You will also need to leave a 10 euro deposit, but we got this back with no trouble-we just wish we had spotted this 3 days earlier!!
Try ask for a room with air con in first though-it really is hot in the evenings in the room.
Lastly, beach lovely, but pebbly in the sea, so really recommend jelly shoes!

I stayed at this hotel when i was young as part of a family holiday and loved it so when me and my partner were looking for a last minute holiday August 2009 Cortijo Blanco kept coming up on our search.
This is a 3* hotel so nice and clean quite basic rooms but comfy. as we booked last minute we ended up with a room on one of the corners of the hotel which was smaller without a balcony, we didnt bother asking to change rooms as we were hardly ever in it but another couple told us they asked to change rooms and it wasnt a problem. evening entertainment was ok some nights really good but others just ok. but there was always lots of people around!
Bar and reception staff very friendly and the food was really nice. always something different and on a few occasions there was a carvery style meat available. Lots of fresh foot and salad stuff available. we booked our holiday through low cost holidays.com and have just booked another one this summer as their prices are very reasonable.
There are 3 pools which were quite busy as it was height of season but we used the pool at the front of the hotel as it was quieter. in a quiet area but everything is in walking distance with a sports bar next door which played all the football games.
we had a great holiday!!!

A friend and I stayed at this hotel in October 2011. The staff were friendly and helpful. The apartment was great for a three star hotel...we even had a bidet in the bathroom. The rooms had everything you could need...beds, phone, tv cupboards for clothes. the rooms were not without fault...No lock on the toilet door, but pretty good.
The food was amazing and constant. There was so much choice for everyone...healthy options, wine, fruit, the fish was unbelievably good.
There was no problem finding a lounger by the swimming pool...the water was freezing in the pool...until you got used to it.
The hotel is located close to the beach and Puerto Banus. It is good for travelling to Gibralta or Fuengirola...the bus stop is a short walk away.
The town of San Pedro was amazing...whilst we were there it was having it's annual fiesta, which means that roads were closed and there was continual partying for the whole week.
The views of the mountains are stunning and provide a fantastic backdrop whereever you are on the coast.
The free local lager was San Miguel. It did rain hard towards the end of the holiday, but the hotel catered excellently for our needs.
Children loved the entertainment which was provided nightly, unfortunately the adult entertainment wasn't very good, but there was so much to do, that we didn't mind.
Definitely worth every penny of the all inclusive price!
Will go again soon!
