I couldn’t disagree with the other reviewer more. This hotel is probably the worst I have ever stayed in.

The rooms we were allocated were filthy with mould growing on the walls, old food from a previous resident still in the drawers, the staff were surly and rude. Please save your money.

We left after 1 night and paid the difference to stay in the Riu Monica a 4* hotel. What a massive difference, good food, clean warm comfortable rooms, friendly helpful staff and a gala meal at new year which was fabulous.

the standard of cleanliness within this hotel was excellent. The staff were all friendly and helpful. This is quite a small hotel so the atmosphere is friendly. The pool small and sadly not heated in winter but kids still swam in it! The distance to the shops and beach was further than we were lead to believe on booking however there was a good bus service and also the walk was nice as there was plenty to see.
The food was the only drawback - breakfasts were ok but evening meals were not up to a very good standard which was sad as it was really the only thing to fault this hotel over.
would recommend skipping the evening meal as there is plenty of good food to be found in Nerja.
The surrounding area is beautiful and it was one of the best holidays I have ever had...if you get the opportunity go on the trip to see ‘The mammas and the tapas’ worth every penny!
Also the trip to Morocco is wonderful - but not for people who do not like to barter -similar to turkey but much worse, the people chase u down the streets trying to sell goods to u but it is a wonderful day out and I would recommend it also.
The beach at Nerja is rough shingle so wear flip flops as it hurts, but it is worth going to the beach as the sea is lovely and the area is second to one for being beautiful and tranquil.

The room was well proportioned with en-suite and balcony etc. and was cleaned meticulously every day. The pool was 50 feet away, again clean and refreshing.
The staff probably spoke better English than I do and could not have been more helpful.
The food was excellent, dinner was self service from 7:00 pm until 10:00. There were vegetarian dishes, salads, home made soups, desserts and a choice of 5 main courses, one of which each evening was a fresh griddle, Tuna steaks, beef steak, Lamb steaks etc. I could have eaten them all and was encouraged by the staff to do so.
Only draw back a 20 minute walk up from town each day, but in our mid 50s this was not a problem.
