My husband, my daughter and I have been visiting Lindos for over 10 years. The resort has everything you could want....and more!! We have travelled many places in the world and I can honestly say we haven't found any place with temperatures as hot as Lindos (we are sun lovers) and any hotel as lovely as the Lindos View Hotel.
Infact we love the Lindos View Hotel so much, when we got married in Lindos this year we held our wedding reception there. Yiannis the manager was so helpful, and his mum did the most wonderfully stylish decoration in the roof top restaurant which has stunning views.
The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are great with lots of space and are thoroughly cleaned every day, and the hotel has beautiful pools set in fantastic gardens.
The only problem I have with the Lindos View Hotel, is that if you don't book your holiday early enough, its fully booked!!! Which speaks for itself....

Lindos view is a great place to stay, We had a lovely room, which was immaculatley clean and well looked after, and we had an amazing view from our balcony, looking across to the acropolis. The pool area was great and we didn't have to get up early for a sunbed which makes a change. We would definately go back to Lindos View but looking at how much the prices have gone up since we came home, it could outprice itself. Welldone to the cleaners who work so hard in such heat. Our cleaner always had a smile on her face and made us feel so welcome.

I recently stayed at Lindos View with my family. We had 4 apartments which were very basic. The pools are lovely and the reception/bar area looks so clean and fresh. The cleaners work very hard to make the hotel look beautiful. I have never seen floors washed so often!! The staff are all friendly and make you feel so welcome. I had a few problems with my air conditioning but they tried everything to resolve the problem. The bar stays open 24hrs a day and you are guaranteed a friendly smile whatever time you need a drink. The restaurant has breathtaking views and the food is excellent.
Walking into Lindos village can be a bit of a task (especially in the heat). The hill is steep and many people slipped on the way down. Wear trainers & you should be ok!! There are taxis for 5 euros and believe me it's better to spend the money than try to walk up the hill after a few drinks.
The donkeys are used as a means of transport but please do not use them as they are kept in poor conditions and it is very cruel. If you need a taxi then take 4 wheels instead of 4 legs.
I loved Lindos so much i have already booked my next holiday through Thomas Cook and can't wait to get back to the sunshine.

Our room at Lindos View was very poor. Spartan and desperately in need or refurbishment. Everything from the doors, taps to utensils should be replaced. Ants in the kitchen area, cockroach on the bed. Basement, so no view. We travelled with Thompson, so they don't always have the best rooms.
Swimming pool so chlorinated it could melt metal, never mind material. Pool area overwhelmingly crowded. The village of Lindos is charming, just don't stay at Lindos View.

We've just returned back from our first holiday in Rhodes staying for 2 weeks at Lindos View. The facilities of Lindos View for children and adults are excellant, there is internet access, table tennis, pool tables, computer games, air hockey table and even a massage chair all down stairs from reception with a toilet and drip shower facility finished to a very high standard which comes in handy if you vacate your room at noon but aren't getting picked up till 11pm. The bar, pool and reception area is very clean and modern and the food is nice but slightly over priced for what it is and the drinks are very expensive almost double what you'd pay in the uk. Both pools are very nice and clean, however towards the end of our holiday we were having to get up at 7.00am just to get 2 loungers (so much for relaxing) due to large wedding and family groups that arrived and some people were putting their towels out before they went to bed and it doesn't help when people who aren't even staying at Lindos View put their towels out as they pass on the way back to their own hotel in the late evening/early hours. The other point which i think people should be aware of is that there are three very different standards of rooms i.e. the older blocks, the middle blocks (whats advertised) and the brand new this season block. We just our luck got the older block which was quite a dissapointment as it was very basic and dated, the bathroom was more like a 1-2*, the beds gave us chronic backache, ants in our fridge, shower head which spurted mostly cold water and dingy lighting, however the new block rooms have kingsize four poster bed, whirlpool bath with plazma tv above it, drip shower, storage space and finished to a very high standard and after speaking to people staying in the new rooms we paid exactly the same through the same tour operator and it seemed to be pot luck where you were allocated as we all booked a good few months in advance. We took this up with our tour rep, yet she was next to useless first claiming she didn't know about the different rooms then saying we're paying for the same facilities not the room therefore thats why we have paid the same and she wouldn't move us. Overall if you are lucky enough to get one of the new rooms or even the middle blocks (which are also very nice as we had a sneaky look in one) you'll have a great stay, the service is good and the views of Lindos are fabulous, and apparently they are updating the old block at the end of this year, its just a shame it was a year too late for us.

I travelled from Stansted with my two daughters on the 20.35pm flight, it was their first experience of travelling abroad. We had a very pleasant flight with a nice meal. We arrived at Rhodes airport where to be honest it was absolutely chaotic. There was one conveyor belt working for all arriving flights and the people trying to get to their cases was 6 deep, it got to the point where people were actually climbing to the centre of the conveyor belt and at one point a man grabbed me and used me to support himself as he climbed over. We waited and waited and although we managed to find 2 cases, a third could not be found. I went out to where the reps were and I explained that we could not find the case and how bad the situation was in the airport, I was told that there was nothing they could do and that infact they were not allowed inside. I was advised to fill a form in reporting the case as missing and to go to the coach as we had already missed our coach as it was now 2 hrs since we landed. We got onto the waiting coach resigned to the fact that my 19 yr old would have to share her sisters clothes for the week, when the rep appeared with the case, I was so relieved I actually kissed her. We went on our way and arrived just as it was getting light in Lindos, the view as you go round the bend in the road and get your first glimpse of Lindos is breathtaking. We arrived at 5.30am, we were greeted with a warm welcome and taken to our room. The room was light, airy and clean. After a long night we all slept for a few hrs, waking at 9.30am as we were all excited and ready to explore. We were in block B in a basement apartment, which at first I was a bit disappointed with as the view was of the block in front of ours but as it turned out the weather was so hot that our patio got some shade in the afternoon and it was lovely to sit outside. The bathroom was clean and there was always hot water(which I know is not always the case in greece) our sheets and towels were changed everyday and our room was cleaned and tidied likewise, my night dress was even arranged into a flower on my bed. The room had a hairdryer, a fridge and toaster and two electric rings to cook on but I must admit I had no intention of using them! The grounds were beautiful and constantly being attended to. The reception area and bar was very nice. There is a computer area on the lower floor with a pool table, air hockey and a few other arcade games. The toilets are worth a mention as like the rest of the building they are of the highest standard. The roof top restaurant is amazing, you really cant get a better view of Lindos and the Acropolis. The restaurant has got a first class feel about it, beautifully decorated. The food was excellent and we couldnt fault the service, it was also surprisingly cheap. We missed the BBQ night as we went out that night but we thoroughly enjoyed the greek night, the food was good and plentiful and the band and dancing was fun. The pools were really nice but I must say the whole pool area felt a bit crowded for me, I went to the pool early to avoid this and saw people arriving putting towels on beds at 8.30am and not returning to use them until 10.30am.
Lindos itself is the nicest place I've been to in Greece, it has everything you could want. The hussle and bustle of the town, the history, the Acropolis, the beaches which are sandy and have crystal clear water, St Pauls bay, which is very pretty. There is a supermarket which is a short walk from Lindos view which I thought was reasonable, we stocked up on water and juice for the fridge as I did find drinks a bit expensive at the hotel. If you fancy a day out, there is a bus stop five mins from the Lindos view and in our experience the buses run on time and you can go to Falaraki for 3.50euros and Rhodes town for 4.50euros. There is a free bus down to the town as this can only be reached via a steep hill. This stops running a 3pm. One thing that did upset me was seeing people who couldnt carry their own weight around in the heat, getting on donkeys and expecting them to! A taxi costs 4euros back up the hill. We had a wonderful week, with beautiful weather. Would definately go back.

My wife and I got married in Lindos on the 27th June 2005 and had our reception at Lindos View (after contemplating many of the rooftop tavernas in Lindos village) and it was better than we could ever have imagined. The food was lovely and the layout of the room/ tables etc. was beautiful.
15 friends and family stayed there with us and they were all delighted with our choice of location. Having worked in Rhodes in the past we were very familiar with the island so we already knew how nice Lindos was, and when we scouted for hotels in 2004, Lindos View staff were very helpful and let us see inside one of the rooms - they even let me film it all on the camcorder.
A few older members of our group struggled a little with the hill down to the village and the intense heat (even in June, Rhodes is always scorching), but they were still very happy overall.
The hotel was fantastic - very nice spacious and well equipped rooms, lovely food in the restaurant, very friendly staff, lots to do (games and pool tables etc. downstairs/ great evening entertainment). I very much look forward to visiting again on one of our future wedding anniversaries.

Lindos view is a great place to stay, We had a fantastic room, (we booked through Thomson, who aparently have the better rooms in the complex) which was immaculatley clean and well looked after, and we had an amazing view from our balcony, looking across to the acropolis.
We did go self catering, but paid for a weeks breakfast at the complex when we got there (49 Euro's each) and ate out every night in lindos, We had planned to eat out anyway so it wasn't a problem for us, but if you seriously want to do self catering, that may be a problem, as we weren't left any of those things in our apartment, just a one ring plug in hob, a kettle, a fridge and some knives and forks!!!! But the rest of the apartement was stunning, a four poster bed and a whirlpool bath.
You have to pay extra for airconditioning but worth it.
Our favorite restaurant in Lindos town was "Mythos" (named after the local beer, but don't let that put you off, the food was lovely and the view from the roof top was the best, the staff were really friendly), also a little traditional reataurant called hermes - is well worth a trip. The only problem we had on our holiday was caused by the thomson rep. who completely mucked up the scuba diving trip we had planned, but she left half way through the week, and the new rep managed to sort out another trip for us, so all was well. I would highly recommend Lindos view to anyone, We had a really enjoyable holiday, very relaxing, and would suit couples and families of all types, from those who enjoy lying by the pool, to those who like to go out and about and adventuring like us!

Fantastic!
The Lindos View apts are both spacious and immaculate. There is a play area for young children and pool tables, internet etc for the teens. All the staff from manager to maid are exceptional. The pool areas are kept to a high standard, and the restaurant is well worth a visit. We only ate here once as there are so many restaurants on offer, which are located about a 10 min walk down a STEEP hill. The walk to and more so from Lindos centre is unsuitable for those with walking difficulties, but there are plenty of taxis avaliable.
Our favorite restaurant was Dionysos. I can't explain how to get to it as the centre of Lindos is like a rabbit warren! The amount of restaurants, cafes, pubs and snack joints on offer is incredible and caters for all tastes.
As you enter the first thing you come across are the Donkeys. Please, please do not use them. They are kept in awful conditions and one look at them will tell you how exhausted they are. We walked up to the Acropolis which is not hard going at all, but try carrying a heavy object on your back and you will see how the donkeys feel!
Overall a fantastic holiday. The local people are the most friendly and polite we have come across. I would highly recommend Lindos View and the resort itself.
The only reason I didn't give this holiday full marks was because of the poor service we received from Thomas Cook!

Brilliant place to stay, If you need a base to sleep the studio appts. are what you need.
We had a great night at the Greek Night they put on (only one in the village). Rooms are very clean, They are quite basic but you don,t need much. A bed to sleep on and cooker for doing bacon sandwich on for breakfast and the fridge to keep your beers cold. Two swimming pools are good with plenty of sunbeds and a 24 hour bar.
If your booking make sure you book here as most of the others have a long walk to the village.

Me my wife and daughter travelled to Rhodes for the first time and stay at lindos view apartments. The room was basic and clean but the views from the apartment were fabulous. The apartments are directly across from the acropolis so there is some traffic on the road in the day but nothing that you would complain about. You wont need to take your alarm clock as the donkeys nearby wake you up!!!.
The hotel itself is very clean and the staff are so friendly they cant do enough for you. The food in the hotel is good, sunday dinner recommended on the restaurant balcony. The entertainment can be at times interesting if you are a "wannabe"!!! but after a few drinks the kareoke is a great laugh.
The cleaners are quite obsessive when it comes to cleaning the floors, if you step over where they have mopped you get a filthy look but all in good spirits.
The pool area is clean and in high season a rush for a bed may be in order but out of the two pools you can always find a space. The beach is a bit of a walk down hill but its worth it.
Night life is really good for all ages with loads of restaurants but dress minimal and dont take your heels!!.
We went the middle of August and the thermometre at the hotel only went up to 50 degrees and it was hitting that every day.
The veiws in Lindos are amazing, especially when lit up at night. If you like it hot I would recommend this hotel and beautiful island.
We loved it that much we are returning this year!.
