The staff at Akti Dimi's couldn't be friendlier. The hotel was suitable for the elderly, children and the younger crowd. It's a two second walk to the beach and 15 minute bus ride to the airport. I would reckonmend to anyone.

one thing i don"t understand is that people always complains.this hotel always try to help out in every situation.99% from the customers are pleased. as they ask to come on the bbq nobody seem to be interested.strange or.this hotel is great and is on the best spot from kos.we be back100%.

booked thrugh thomas cook 1 bed appt ended up with 1 room for 3 adults and 1 child bunk bed broke twice and was infested with ants,no barbaque, and very expensive to eat and drink from there cafe, these rooms are very very small 1 wardrobe for 4 people and fridge wouldnt... more

This is an excellent hotel/apartment in a great location. It is literally 20 metres from the beach with a first class pool as well if you can't face travelling that far. Staff are really friendly and all speak first class English. Nearby highly recommended restaurants... more

Friendly staff and clean apartments offering all you need food and drink wise as you sunbathe on the beach or the pool. Beach is only a walk across the road and the walk to the main street is about 5 mins, supermarket is next door making Atki Dimmys a fantastic base for a relaxing holiday. Booked relatively late so got good price and overall can't complain. Standards we're above usual basic Greece and staff were really pleasant. Would recommend to anyone, as I said you can't go wrong at Akti Dimmys or Tigaki.
Perfect Family Holiday from SarahRitch
We had a fantastic family holiday at Akti Dimmys. The accomodation was everything we needed, don't go expecting 5 star it has a 2 star rating for a reason, but the rooms had everything we needed and the room was only used as a base and somewhere to sleep. The rooms were clean and of a good size, the balcony was one of the biggest we've had. The shower room is a little awkward but we learnt to adapt. Now as for the hotel itself the facilities are perfect for families. There is a shallow pool for young children and a bigger pool for the adults, the pools are perfectly adequate for the size of the complex. There were plenty of sunbeds to go round and people didn't feel the need to put towels down to reserve them. The hotel served food during the day and the quality was superb and not expensive. There is entertainment twice a week, which was much fun and the bar runs every night till late, the cocktails were lush. The staff were very friendly. As for the rest of our holiday, our flights with my travel were great. There are plenty of restaurants in Tingaki, for evening meals, esperos was especially good. Kos itself is a fantastic little island, just right for families wanting sun, sea sand and some peace and quiet. I recommend a visit to Kos town, this is a more bustling resort than Tingaki. Also recommend a 3 island boat trip. All in all brilliant, we will be going back to Akti Dimmys next year.

Just got back from Kos and enjoyed every minute of it.. here i am sat at my desk, at work thinking of what i were doing this time next week. The Akti Dimmys... a very friendly place to stay, the staff ensure that your holiday is relaxing and stress free. Would i do there again,,, NO,, but thats because i have been to Kos 4 times and its a big world out there,,, i can understand why people go back year after year. Would i recommend to a friend,,, Yes.. the pool is just the right size, the snack bar menu is a mixture of greek and english and the location is just right,,,, Any body how books here will have a great time...

I would highly recommend Akti Dimmys from 0204
We had a fantasitic fortnight at Akti Dimmys in Tingaki, Kos. The hotel itself is very nice and family run, the standard of cleanliness is superb and the location for the Beach and Village is great. The Beach is right across the road and the Village is about a 10 minute level walk. There are some fab restaurants in the Village but our favourite by far was the nearby Esperos. Everyone we met in the restaurants were so friendly and desperate for you to love their island as much as they do.

This was the fifth visit in two years ,every visit has been different and so enjoyable were going back again in september. the family are so friendly they make you part of them nothing is to much bother they all go out of their way to help. the rooms are spotless and are cleaned daily .the location is ideal for family's or couples the centre has enough restraunts to keep you well fed with plenty of variety.

This is, in my opinion, one of the best hotel appartments in one of Greece's top resorts - ideal of you have a family. The hotel has a great swimming pool and the beach is just 10 metres away across a very quiet road. It is safe, sunny, sandy and superb. It is a family run business with Dimitris the dad ably supported by Maria, daughter Athena and sons Georgas and Aki. Rooms are clean and the receptionist Angela cannot do enough to help. Hotel is about 400 meters walk from the resort centre but that means you have the best of both words - lively night life a short walk away AND peace and quiet when its time for bed. Top restaurants are Esperos run by Stamatis (a mere 100meters from the hotel, a fantastic venue and our favoourite), Vassilis in the town centre and Ampelis 2 miles away from the resort along the coast OR a 50p bus ride. Worth the efort as the food is brilliiant and they make their own wine. Ask for grapes for dessert and they'll cut them from the vine in front of you. King Size, next to the hotel, does good food and is a great place to chill out away from the heat of the midday sun. Don't book tours via the reps. Theokridos Travel in the High Street is run by an English woman and their prices are cheaper. For tours try Bubble Beach (so called because gases from the volcano on a nearby island make it look like a jacuzzi) and Zia where the sunset over dinner is great. Kos Town is good with archeological sites and excellent shopping. For bars try Kivotos on the main street and Memories - Kivitos is my favourite but Memories is more popular with the kids. All in all a great venue - we've been there 10 times, so we must like it.

The apartments are very clean and the maids visit three to four times a week they even made my daughters bed with her in it. The location of the hotel is fantastic twenty strides and your in the sea, the pool at the apartments is the best. The snack bar is run by Maria who works so hard and is a little gem. Aki and his brother George are really nice boys, their father Jimmy is also a nice person. George and Irini run the bar and do a great job of this they are very nice also. Angela is such a good hostess, always everyone is smiling. We highly recommend this place for families, Tingaki is no good for 18 - 30's not enough here for you. Certainly enough for families, really good eating places and drinking places, spoilt for choice really. If you stay at these apartments please try the King Size Beach Bar next door to the apartments it is fantastic. The food is amazing and the service is great, you will be made very welcome. Also try a few cocktails in Mickeys bar opposite Taka Taka Mams they are the best. The holiday overall, just take a look at the title it was SIMPLY THE BEST.
Where do I start?! from Helz
Well for a starters, I love this place so much I've been going there every summer for the past 8 years. With it's position right on the beach and close to the town (but not so close that you get all the noise!) it's perfect. My Mum, Dad, Sis and I have made so many friends from Tigaki and this hotel that we have eachothers mobile numbers and they've even come to stay with us in England! My sister loves Angela - she's the loveliest girl and she knows how to have a really good time on the greek nights! Maria, Athena, George, Aki, Dimitris are all such nice people. Anyone who goes here will know how lovely the family are! Outside the hotel there is the Esperos restaurant. Stamatis who owns this restaurant is a diamond. He's always smiling and happy to see you (even if you stay there until 2am as we're prone to doing). Costas who also works here is really nice too. He's married to one of the lovely English ladies who works in Theokritos Tours in Tigaki - the best place to books trips by far! Then there is the Kivotos bar with Theo, Spiro, Costa and Billy-Boy. These guys are the best, just be careful of the free shots they give out! One of then had a label on it that i swear said "monk water"... All in all if you come to Akti Dimmys you'll have a fantastic holiday and make friends for life!

Just arrived home 14/10/04. We all had a fantastic time at akti dimmys. Angela could not be any more helpful at her job, she was always smiling and she took us as one of her family. She is one of the most pleasant ladies we have met. Maria is a lovely lady she works too hard (she needs a break). She was always laughing and joking on with our family. I hope she didn't run out of milk and ice cream making all those milk shakes for Andrew. Kelsea is going to miss her terrably. She made Kelseas holiday extra special dancing to the early hours of the morning. The rooms where very basic, but the maids done a fantastic job every day they came in. We all were sorry to leave but we will keep in touch with Angela and Maria. p.s. Chris would like to say thank you to Dimmitris and Maria for carrying him home safley, he had a terrable hang over all the next day. If you are planning to go to Turkey please book through Sarah (the rep) and you are insured and she will look after you good. If you want to eat out try Esperos, Milos and Vassilis, you will well looked be after especially children.
