San Lorenzo Studios and Apartments

just returned from a weeks stay at the san lorenzo apartments, every thing about the place is spot on! our children aged 2 and 4 loved both the pools, the baby pool is excellent as its only about a foot deep and you can get a lounger right next to it so you actually get to relax while you watch them play!
the rooms are spotless (best we've ever stayed in in greece), the grounds are lovely there's even a childrens play area, staff are friendly and helpful.
if you want to say anything bad about the place its on top of a hill, but we managed to push our buggies up it everynight without too much effort
close to the beach and some lovely restaurants, we cannot reccomend the place enough!

Lovely Appartments , stunning sea view , nice selection of places to eat ... zorbas friday night greek dancing really good ... only a short 5 minute taxi ride to the capital ( head to the waterfront to see the turtles ( a couple of them put on a show everytime we went ) nice shops also ...
All in All ... a great quiet chilled out holiday

Excellent accommodation! This is a great complext that's low key and relaxing. We went with a two year old child and he was more than happy with the childrens playground and the pool. Everything is spotless and the rooms are cleaned daily and you get fresh towels - The maids even put your washing-up away!
The only thing I would say is that if you stay in the height of summer it will proabably get pretty hot at night as there's no AC in the rooms (just fans)
The hill to the hotel is not too bad - it might be steep but it's short.
Most of the restaurants are OK - nothing special really - you can find better food in Argostilli (12 hour walk away).
Maria (who works behind the bar in the evening) is fantastic! If you meet her please tell her that Noah (my little boy) says 'Hello!!!'. Maria is fantastic with the kids and a real mine of information - ask her about beaches etc...
It's good to hire a car and see a bit of the island, the roads of very small, but the scenery is wonderful.
The only downside is that the supermarkets are expensive (there are two within a couple of hundred yards of the hotel). my advice would be to ignore these two and walk a little further down to Supermarket Lassi - Much cheaper and a better range of food.

Our 2nd visit here as it is so lovely. The apartments are basic but have everything you need & are cleaned on a daily basis. The whole complex is cleaned every day & the pool is always clear and clean. The baby pool is drained & refilled every morning and after any accidents!
The bar is well stocked with lovely simple food freshly cooked to order and the staff are all friendly & helpful. The will call a taxi for you and do you food shopping for you & deliver it to your door.
Lassi is based around the main road through the resort with lots of restaurants, a few bars and about 3 supermarkets. They have a good choice from traditional Greek to Italian & Chinese, and there is an Indian in the capital of Argostoli. The best restaurant by far is Phaedra which is towards the end of the road heading for Argostoli. The food is gorgeous, it is a lovely setting, well priced & good staff.
The beaches are nice & clean, there are 2 main ones, one of which is more watersports and lively with a beach bar and the other nice and quiet.
Argostoli is a short taxi ride with a row of shops which are a little expensive but it is a nice trip & you can have a walk along the harbour.
It is our 2nd visit in 3 years, once as a couple and the second time with our 1 yr old. Both times were great, the place was as good as ever and the Greeks are very child friendly. Will def go back again, a few tour operators deal with this place but Thomas Cook are the best price with the best flight times.

The San Lorenzo Village could not be faulted. It was spotless and the staff we so helpful.
Upon your arrival you even had a bottle of water in the fridge, fruit in the fruit bowl and even a small bottle of washing up liquid.
Towels were changed every day and your apartments cleaned.
Would highly recommend for people to go there.
The island itself is beautiful and there is plenty to see and do. We are hoping to go there next year.

My partner and I have stayed at the San Lorenzo Studios for the past four years. We cannot fault these apartments in any way, they were spotless, the pool was kept clean, and the towels and bed linen were changed daily!
The only drawback is the steep hill up from the main road - but you soon get used to that and it’s worth it just to stay in San Lorenzo.
I would recommend these apartments to anyone. They are in an ideal situation for the beautiful beach, which is a ten-minute walk, and fifteen-minute walk to the bars and restaurants. I stayed in Lassi fifteen years ago and it hasn't become that much more commercialised in all that time.
Anyone wanting a good fish restaurant, try Trata.

The San Lorenzo hotel is in a beautiful location in Lassi. The apartment is ideal with plenty of room. The staff are really good and can't do enough for you.
All rooms overlook the pool and the sea. I will definitely go back there. I have rheumatoid arthritis and the hill to get back to the hotel was no bother.
Go and see the caves and the Messilini lakes the views from the cliffs are breath taking but if you are scared of heights look the other way.
You can also eat well in Lassi, I’m a vegan, and there is plenty of fresh food from stuffed peppers to soup. Also, no- one hassles you.
To be honest its one of the nicest places I have ever been to.

My sister and I were looking for a self catering holiday in Kefalonia and when we came across these reviews of the San Lorenzo, we were very impressed and decided to try and book.
It was a bit pricier than we had expected through the travel agents but we then called the San Lorenzo directly, and the price was almost unbelievable! We were thrilled and booked straight away!
When we arrived, we couldn't believe our luck to be honest. It is just superb, and especially for the money we paid. The accommodation so immaculately clean and in fact, the cleaners visit every day to change the sheets and towels...and even the parasol outside in the little front garden each apartment comes with!
My only slight criticism is they need not do so much washing from an environmental perspective. The surrounding gardens and pool area are just lovely and you can get a good choice of drinks and lunches/snacks from the bar, right next to the pool.
There is also a pool table, a mini library of books and they show a different movie for both children and adults every evening. The staff are just wonderful...so friendly and helpful...nothing is too much trouble.
You can change your traveller’s cheques at reception so that makes things a lot easier in terms of carrying cash around. In respect of location, it is just right. It is situated on a hill so the views if the surrounding hills and ocean are beautiful, and it is also very quiet. The shops, beach, restaurants and bars are very close, but far enough away not to be in the thick of it all. And if you want to head into the main town (Argostolli), 1 euro pays for an air conditioned coach there! Superb value.
Both the airport and Argostolli are only 5 mins away in opposite directions.
The only downside to the location so the dreaded hill! It is pretty steep so not suitable for anyone who is not able bodied or for the elderly. And not ideal in 42 degree heat either! The beaches are just lovely and you can rent a parasol and two sunbeds for about 8 Euros per day (you can even leave the beach and come back.) The sea is clear and clean.
In terms of prices, most things are pretty cheap. The most we paid for a main meal was 10 Euros (including a glass of wine) and the most for a cocktail was about 6 Euros. Beware though - the drinks in the clubs in Argostolli are somewhat more expensive! We found the So Simple bar a great night if you want to stay in Lassi for the evening.
In terms of restaurants, we ate at the Mystic Gusto a few times and that was very pleasant. If you want entertainment, the Zorbas restaurant was great fun - Greek dancing on Mon, Wed and Fri nights. But be prepared to get up yourself! Overall, you can probably tell that we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and would not hesitate to book again.
Great fun, relaxing, and superb value. Just check the temperature before you go...it was unbelievably hot when we went and no air con! Enjoy....I am confident you will!

Wow! What a fantastic holiday. Just returned from a 2 week holiday at the 'San Lorenzo Village' Lassi, Kefalonia, have never felt the need to put pen to paper (or in this case finger to key board) but I feel that I must spread the word about this brilliant complex.
Having taken holidays in Europe over the past 25 years Spain , Italy, Canary Islands we decided to return to Greece & to try Kefalonia and now we are so glad that we did ( after a little uhmming & arghing ).
I cannot praise this complex enough, the wife & I stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment ( no air con hence 9/10 ) & everything was so spotlessly clean, very friendly maids every day, fresh towels daily, clean linen every 3 days.
Fresh fruit & sweets on arrival, everything thought of including hairdryer, iron, microwave ,kettle,( even towels were available if required for beach & sunbed use as many as you need for a 10e deposit).
Gardeners constantly preening the beautiful gardens. Bar staff were brilliant nothing was too much trouble.
1 large swimming pool with poolside bar with great food, 1 kiddies pool & a Jacuzzi ( not open on our stay ) were always kept very clean, although the 80m trudge up 'the hill' to the complex was a bit tiring in the 40c heat but most definitely worth it.
Lassi is a great base from which to explore the island with great beaches & restaurants ( too many to mention).
We hired a car for 5 days and managed to see everything we wanted including Myrtos beach, the beautiful lakes, caves, towns, villages and out of the way bays on this very easy to drive island.
We will most definitely be returning and would not hesitate in recommending this complex.

Went out in early October, and luckily the weather was great. Lassi is a really nice little town with everything you need.
The rooms are basic and very clean, with sheets and towels changed regularly.
The pool was really nice and uncrowned that time of year, and did great snacks.
Very close to a nice little supermarket that sold everything we needed.
Lassi has loads of great restaurants, and all were able to serve Gluten Free Food, none had any problems with this when we asked. Also check out Oskars which was a great fun (if slightly cheesy) night.
But don't let that put you off, was one of the best fun nights of the trip and the wine there was crazily cheap!
Plenty to do on the island, hire a car and check out the vineyards and ruins.
