well i booked this holiday last yr in nov 07 for me my 4yr old daughter my little boy who is now 6months and my partner it cost over £1100 for all of us all inclusive for 1wk.got of to be a really bad start we got delayed 12hrs goin thomas cook gave our plane to other passengers because there was a technical fault with theres what a nightmare instead of flyin at 1.45pm in the afternoon we did not fly untill the following morining at 1.30am and we ended up on atlantic airways plane instead because thomas cook plane could not get us a plane.anyway we finally arrived at the hotel we got n our room we was a bit dissapointed how small the room was as we had 2 pushchairs with kids and me and my partner the rooms would of been alot better for us if they was bigger but they was very clean a bit old fashioned bedding but comfy beds and good shower.we was on the 3rd floor which is where the dinning room was so it was alwys handy for breakfast instead of messing in lifts.the food was absolutely amazin we all thort we are quite a healthy family at home but i new on my hols i was going to make the most of the all inclusive the choice in food was marvollous you name it they had it and it was always hot even though people moned we could never ever fault it they must be very hard to please because it was great.it was easy to make my little boys bottles there was hot water in machines in the dinning room and down stairs in the bar they did not mind me putting his juice and puddings in the fridge either behind the bar which was handy.my little girl loved the little pool could not get her out of it.the kids club though was not what it said in the broucher when i booked it they put a note up 2days prior before i came home saying"all minors to be with adults at all times which is fair cop yeh but while all games was on eg drawing etc which is supposed to be for kids and that all the entertainment is all volentary and free well it aint cause we pay for te entertainment in the broucher when you book it!!!the gym is a bit dated too but its got the nessesities for you to use.the entertainment im afraid is not great at all!!the best night was the parot night where parots do tricks on bikes etc that was ace but otherwise the rest was dissapointing to be honest but we tried to make the best of it.we brought bak a fab souvenier we got some pictures took by shaggy the photo guy they were amazin he said they was his best ever he taken cause the picture meant so much.i would not go back to the hotel or carlla llonga even though we wanted a quite place it was to quite but the food was brill would reccommend all inclusive.the hotel is very child friendly the same music all day and night my little girl loved it though and bought her the cd lol they only play 2 cds thats it.we did come back with a lovely tan too.

The Club Playa is basic accommodation. The Decor of the rooms is old and in need of refurbishment. Occasionally through the daytime the corridors can be noisy with teenagers and it is hard to get a lounger around the pool after 8.30am.
Thats the bad out of the way! This was a very clean, very friendly hotel. The hotel staff were very pleasant (apart from the English nigh****chman!) There are activities from 11am until 5pm every day and entertainment every night such as dancing acts and Bird of prey show (Karaoke is only once a week!) and the entertainment staff also put on a kids disco, bingo and evening shows (Grease and Sister act)which include audience participation. They are still there every evening at 11.30pm to finish the nights entertainment with the "Club Dances". They work incredibly hard (especially David and Florence)providing activities for youngsters like face painting and colouring in to adult and older child activities like water polo, shooting, bowls, football etc. The food is varied, with a different carvery every evening which included Ham, beef, pork, chicken and my favourite Salmon, all carved freshly in front of you.
All in all, this is a family orientated hotel with friendly, hardworking staff, good food and situated in a good, if small, resort with good transport facilities to other parts of the island.
To enjoy it fully I would recommend joining in the activities from the start of your holiday.
Just returned from a fortnight...

Just returned from a fortnight at Club Playa and we enjoyed it start to finish, its location is fantastic, right on top of the very pretty beach, the staff, by and large were as good as gold, food was ok, ive had better, but ive had a lot worse as well, the hotel is spotless the cleaners work round the clock, particularly in the toilets etc which were a helluva lot cleaner and looked after than in this country, on two occasions we had what were probably fairly unusual requests and the hotel responded immediately to both of them and were very helpful on both occasions. The pool is really well monitored by a series of lifeguards who dont fall asleep on the job, but actually watch whats going on - very reassuring if you`ve got some nippers in there. Also the pool is surrounded by anti slip mats, why dont all hotels do this??, The sunbeds were brand new and the best i`ve seen, and plenty of them too, the bar staff are right on the case, very few queues. As with most hotels, it can be a bit noisy at night, but it all seems to quieten down soon enough.
The only little grouch we did have was that, when the restaraunt closes after breakfast at 10 am, the bar doesnt open until 11 am, leaving an hour when it is impossible to get any drinks etc whatsoever, that apart, Sirenis Club Playa is a worthwhile base in a beautiful, if quiet resort.
We couldnt help but get the feeling that this hotel desperately wants to be liked, and guess what, we did like it, would we go back?, yes definitely.

Hi,
This was my first trip to club playa and i loved every minute of it i went with a group of friends and we would all say this was the best holiday.
Food - o.k but thats what you get in all incluisive. It was a good variatie and i had something to eat at ever meal and every day and good for vegeterians.
Rooms - O.k are air con toke a while to work and in that heat it is not good. Maid service everday but mondays but you coped clean and reasonable for the time you spend in them even though they are a bit dated.
Staff - some of the nices people there the bar staff are friendly and kind and a laugh even though they come from all over the globe. The reception staff do do your requests and are helpful. Maids do there job well and always have smile. Entertainment staff are lovely. Flourense and David are the best people you will ever met they are great with kids, teens and will get you what ever age into one of the many sports they have on everyday.
Kids - for those little ones there is a mini club everday with one of the entertainers and they will very evening have a mini disco which is very fun they can also if they win a compotition win a certificate go up on stage and collect it.
Teens - You can bath all day with drinks on servicee or join in with activites evrything is your choice and you are not presherd at all.
Others - the time is your to be spent well.
This is fab hotel, probably the best holiday i ahve ever had and i made freinds and met people of all diferent shape, sizes, nationality you name it. I would recommended it strongly and hope to see you there next year!
Thanks ...

Not too bad of a holiday, food is very poor and cold all the time and no variety. The hotel is not too bad but there is no maid service on a monday so we had to make do without and towels for one day. the only good thing was the weather, beach is nice, pool is way too small and staff are a bit ignorent, but we still made the most of it for what we paid. DONT GO TO THE AUQAPARK with the reps on this hotel cos they rob u its way too expensive for what you get n its only half a day. thanks

Me and my partner went to ibiza for 1 week with thomas cook, all inclusive at the sirenis club playa in cala llonga.
Bad start to the holiday as we were delayed at manchester airport for 9 hours. Thomas Cook gave us an £8 voucher for refreshments which you will be probably we aware doesnt buy you much at an airport! in the end we had to fly with fly2.com who put the flight on behalf of thomas cook but the seats are tiny, no tv or radio.
Anyway, finally arrived at the hotel at 03.30 very tired. Check in was quick and the guys at reception were English speaking.
Got to the room which was on the 5th floor using the hotel lifts (there are 2 of these). Room very basic but spotless, room constisted of 2 single beds pushed together, dessing table and 2 bed side tables, and an ensuite bathroom. Abit outdated and old fashioned but really clean. balcony over looking the town and fountain.
Meals-
breakfast is very good consisting of fruit and cereals and yogurts, full english, fruit juices and tea and coffee.
lunch can either be by the pool snack bar which has hot dogs, burgers, toasties and chips or in the main restaurant which has anything and everything from salad, jacket potatoes, casseroles, steak, pork, fish, pizza- lots of choice. varies of cakes and ice cream.
dinner- is in the main restaurant and is the same as lunchtime but has paella aswell as different veg and carvery of meats. pasta and pizza.
all meals are a buffet type.
The swimming pool is quite small and does have a small section for kids. there are lots of sun loungers around the pool and we never had any trouble getting one.
entertainment-
programme throughout the day, 2 young brits organised all the entertainment. football, water polo, darts, rifle shooting in the day and at night.... kids disco, then bingo then some sort of show or karaoki. If you like that sort of thing then fine otherwise id get out of the hotel for the evening as we did.
Cala llonga is a nice town with some good bars and retaurants. I recomend pirates bar and flippers restaurant.
The beach is also lovely and costs 4 euros per lounger and 4 for an umbrela perday.
Unfortunatly we were also delayed for 10 hours on our return and thomas cook didnt tell us untill we were at the airport and checked in which meant we didnt have our cases. They then took us to a lovely hotel for a meal and a drink, but one meal and 1 drink I dont think is acceptable for a 10 hour delay. Afgain we had to fly in a fly2.com plane with no tv or radio.
All in all, a great holiday apart from thomas cook which we will not be using again.

This was my first family holiday abroad and we all had a wonderful time . The food was great the entertainment was good too . It overall had a fantastic feel to it. The staff were fantastic very friendly and good at getting people to join in with them .It is a quiet resort with not a lot of things to do but it is very peaceful ideal for lounging about by the pool and having a relaxing holiday . We all enjoyed being there so much that we have booked up again for the same time this year without the kids and are taking a few friends with us instead . I cant wait to go back again here's hoping it is as good a holiday as the last one

This was our second visit to Hotel Playa Dorada, and i must say, it was Teriffic!!
The hotel was clean, the staff were excellent above and beyond the call of duty, and the food was good, although there is so much! so watch ya waistline !!!!!!
The only downside to the hotel is the two small lifts, but as we were on the lst floor it was no problem, we upgraded to a suite which was well worth the extra money, the view was amazing of the bay and the pool, the balcony was massive, have already booked for 2008 and cant wait, have reserved the same room again,
I should not be telling everyone how good it is as i want it all to myself he he he xxx

On the whole the holiday was very good. The food was not very good at all, it did not matter what time you went it was cold and needed going in the microwave. In the downstairs bar the food was not very varied but nice.
Staff were very helpful and tried very hard to help, the entertainment staff were excellent, Matt and Eddie never stopped.
The lifts were very slow, so be patient.
The Airtours rep was useless, never saw him.

A very sad waste of a holiday, my husband and I were put on the forth floor facing the bar next to the lift. Opened the door to smelly grubby room, at 1am the racket went on until 4am from guests, outside bins, bottle bank and water being ran all the time from the two floors above. Damp grubby wardrobe forced us to live out of our cases. Its just a room you can sleep on the sunbed.
Shock set in at breakfast and we were early 8.15am the plates were not only greasy but you had bits of food on them and the cutlery was as bad, and the breakfast was stone cold. We begged to be moved having paid 700 pound for a week, the rep asked for 500euros to move to a h/b hotel, we thought that was too much. Every meal was cold and inedible and I'm not fussy but only trusted the buns and frozen butter with cheese, that even stopped when I let the flies keep the cheese.
This was sold to me as 3* plus the rep said the plus was jacuzzi etc, this cost 12urs but the jacuzi was filthy and gym shoddy and ripped. If you have a few kids there seemed plenty for them to do, as long as you have a car to escape don't eat or sleep and be happy in a 2 star hotel living out of a suitcase then pay for 3*plus. And if your face fits the rep moved couples for 250urs.
Do budget for a car, kettle, hairdryer, 4euros each bed and shade on the beach and food, don't ask for picnic, tin pate, tin tuna, apple, baby bell and bottle water with bread. I am very sorry for the staff they try their best and work hard. I've been put off Ibiza for good.

This hotel is a very poor!
It is NOT the hotel shown on the internet, but one next to it, albeit part of the group!
The staff are wonderful, which is a good job, because if they were as poor as the hotel/amenities then it would have been purgatory.
1) Entertainment team = 2 people - no matter how hard they worked they had no chance! 4 nights per week = bingo for heaven’s sake, the others consisted of 3rd rate outside entertainers (excluding the karaoke which was good). NOT WHAT WAS DESCRIBED IN THE BROCHURE?
2)Whilst the internal areas of the hotel were spotless, the pool area etc was never cleaned at all during the 2 weeks that we were there, yet the 2 hotels adjacent(half board+part of same group) were hosed down every night.
3)Sanitary facilities leave a lot to be desired - only 1 set of public toilets to service pool - bar area on pool level - bar area 4 floors up - and restaurant 3 floors up.
4) Totally inadequate lifts - 2 small ones to service all 6 floors.
5) food- if you don't like chicken then you'll starve. Although some of the roasts were excellent, chicken was on very menu-lunch/dinner for 14 days!
Salad selection very poor and not stored properly -- not on cold shelf - meats curling up at corner and all veggies totally overcooked.
No brew facilities in rooms - when bar closed at midnight nowhere to get a brew never mind another beer etc.
This is a very basic hotel that does not warrant its 3 stars in any way shape or form, and I feel sorry for the staff who work very hard under difficult circumstances.

This was my first time as a single parent on holiday. The daytime sports got us all mixing with the other guests. Everyone was friendly and we had a lot of fun, the kids made loads of friends. The food was ok but a bit repetitive, the hotel was very clean and staff very friendly. Would recommend to any families.

I loved it and want to go back we only went for a week and that I don’t recommend as it’s not long enough.
We was never bored here as there is always so much to do in the day and the night, on the day reps play games with the children such as water polo and with the adults too
The only thing that put a downer on the holiday was the jelly fish in the sea but the man said that they shouldn’t even be there and it must have been the time off the year
It's not exactly central to nightlife and shopping but around the area you will find all you need and a couple off bars on the night (that’s if you want to go out of the hotel witch you really don’t need to).
