Submitted By: children4We went to the sirenis club playa 1st of june 08 and i can honestly say the hotel and staff were great the rooms were very large consiting of a good size bathroom with shower over bath. A twin room and a very large double...no sofa's though we had to sit on the bed our out in the balcony but alround large clean room.
The staff who served food were really friendly and so were the bar staff also...food was excellent 10 out of 10 proper english fryed breakfasts cereals of alsorts fresh fruit the works...lunch and evening meals were the best ever abroad for me and im a very funny eater.there was proper steak, pork chops, lamb chops, and very large peices of boneless chicken, fantastic and also your basic chicken and pork cassarolls chips, veg, soup bread rolls what you would normaly expect...alround excellent value
My only problem was the life guard she sat there all day on her mobile and several times kiddies fell into the pool and she did NOTHING so please beware of this!!!!!!.
Cala llonga is only very small with several shops and bars but was great for me my husband and 2 kiddies..my mom and dad and my brother sister inlaw and nephew of 12..
All i can say is this holiday was excellent for what we payed it was a really bargain all 3 parties enjoyed every minute....excellent for couples and famlies looking for a chilled holiday.....

Submitted By: Mr M GallagherThats the bad out of the way! This was a very clean, very friendly hotel. The hotel staff were very pleasant (apart from the English nigh****chman!) There are activities from 11am until 5pm every day and entertainment every night such as dancing acts and Bird of prey show (Karaoke is only once a week!) and the entertainment staff also put on a kids disco, bingo and evening shows (Grease and Sister act)which include audience participation. They are still there every evening at 11.30pm to finish the nights entertainment with the "Club Dances". They work incredibly hard (especially David and Florence)providing activities for youngsters like face painting and colouring in to adult and older child activities like water polo, shooting, bowls, football etc. The food is varied, with a different carvery every evening which included Ham, beef, pork, chicken and my favourite Salmon, all carved freshly in front of you.
All in all, this is a family orientated hotel with friendly, hardworking staff, good food and situated in a good, if small, resort with good transport facilities to other parts of the island.
To enjoy it fully I would recommend joining in the activities from the start of your holiday.

Submitted By: Mr D ChapmanThe only little grouch we did have was that, when the restaraunt closes after breakfast at 10 am, the bar doesnt open until 11 am, leaving an hour when it is impossible to get any drinks etc whatsoever, that apart, Sirenis Club Playa is a worthwhile base in a beautiful, if quiet resort.
We couldnt help but get the feeling that this hotel desperately wants to be liked, and guess what, we did like it, would we go back?, yes definitely.

" Hi,
This was my first... "
This was my first trip to club playa and i loved every minute of it i went with a group of friends and we would all say this was the best holiday.
Food - o.k but thats what you get in all incluisive. It was a good variatie and i had something to eat at ever meal and every day and good for vegeterians.
Rooms - O.k are air con toke a while to work and in that heat it is not good. Maid service everday but mondays but you coped clean and reasonable for the time you spend in them even though they are a bit dated.
Staff - some of the nices people there the bar staff are friendly and kind and a laugh even though they come from all over the globe. The reception staff do do your requests and are helpful. Maids do there job well and always have smile. Entertainment staff are lovely. Flourense and David are the best people you will ever met they are great with kids, teens and will get you what ever age into one of the many sports they have on everyday.
Kids - for those little ones there is a mini club everday with one of the entertainers and they will very evening have a mini disco which is very fun they can also if they win a compotition win a certificate go up on stage and collect it.
Teens - You can bath all day with drinks on servicee or join in with activites evrything is your choice and you are not presherd at all.
Others - the time is your to be spent well.
This is fab hotel, probably the best holiday i ahve ever had and i made freinds and met people of all diferent shape, sizes, nationality you name it. I would recommended it strongly and hope to see you there next year!
Thanks ...

Submitted By: bev2656Bad start to the holiday as we were delayed at manchester airport for 9 hours. Thomas Cook gave us an £8 voucher for refreshments which you will be probably we aware doesnt buy you much at an airport! in the end we had to fly with fly2.com who put the flight on behalf of thomas cook but the seats are tiny, no tv or radio.
Anyway, finally arrived at the hotel at 03.30 very tired. Check in was quick and the guys at reception were English speaking.
Got to the room which was on the 5th floor using the hotel lifts (there are 2 of these). Room very basic but spotless, room constisted of 2 single beds pushed together, dessing table and 2 bed side tables, and an ensuite bathroom. Abit outdated and old fashioned but really clean. balcony over looking the town and fountain.
Meals-
breakfast is very good consisting of fruit and cereals and yogurts, full english, fruit juices and tea and coffee.
lunch can either be by the pool snack bar which has hot dogs, burgers, toasties and chips or in the main restaurant which has anything and everything from salad, jacket potatoes, casseroles, steak, pork, fish, pizza- lots of choice. varies of cakes and ice cream.
dinner- is in the main restaurant and is the same as lunchtime but has paella aswell as different veg and carvery of meats. pasta and pizza.
all meals are a buffet type.
The swimming pool is quite small and does have a small section for kids. there are lots of sun loungers around the pool and we never had any trouble getting one.
entertainment-
programme throughout the day, 2 young brits organised all the entertainment. football, water polo, darts, rifle shooting in the day and at night.... kids disco, then bingo then some sort of show or karaoki. If you like that sort of thing then fine otherwise id get out of the hotel for the evening as we did.
Cala llonga is a nice town with some good bars and retaurants. I recomend pirates bar and flippers restaurant.
The beach is also lovely and costs 4 euros per lounger and 4 for an umbrela perday.
Unfortunatly we were also delayed for 10 hours on our return and thomas cook didnt tell us untill we were at the airport and checked in which meant we didnt have our cases. They then took us to a lovely hotel for a meal and a drink, but one meal and 1 drink I dont think is acceptable for a 10 hour delay. Afgain we had to fly in a fly2.com plane with no tv or radio.
All in all, a great holiday apart from thomas cook which we will not be using again.

Submitted By: Mrs J RodenThe hotel was clean, the staff were excellent above and beyond the call of duty, and the food was good, although there is so much! so watch ya waistline !!!!!!
The only downside to the hotel is the two small lifts, but as we were on the lst floor it was no problem, we upgraded to a suite which was well worth the extra money, the view was amazing of the bay and the pool, the balcony was massive, have already booked for 2008 and cant wait, have reserved the same room again,
I should not be telling everyone how good it is as i want it all to myself he he he xxx

Submitted By: Mrs P MeredithShock set in at breakfast and we were early 8.15am the plates were not only greasy but you had bits of food on them and the cutlery was as bad, and the breakfast was stone cold. We begged to be moved having paid 700 pound for a week, the rep asked for 500euros to move to a h/b hotel, we thought that was too much. Every meal was cold and inedible and I'm not fussy but only trusted the buns and frozen butter with cheese, that even stopped when I let the flies keep the cheese.
This was sold to me as 3* plus the rep said the plus was jacuzzi etc, this cost 12urs but the jacuzi was filthy and gym shoddy and ripped. If you have a few kids there seemed plenty for them to do, as long as you have a car to escape don't eat or sleep and be happy in a 2 star hotel living out of a suitcase then pay for 3*plus. And if your face fits the rep moved couples for 250urs.
Do budget for a car, kettle, hairdryer, 4euros each bed and shade on the beach and food, don't ask for picnic, tin pate, tin tuna, apple, baby bell and bottle water with bread. I am very sorry for the staff they try their best and work hard. I've been put off Ibiza for good.
