Sep 2007, Mrs A Passey

Just back from a week at the Cypriotes Panorama. Had a fab holiday.
The hotel luxury, food good ( we did half board) with lots of choice, salads cold meats, cheeses, hot meats and desserts to die for.
The room very comfortable ,we had junior suite for family 4, loads of space, t/v, sea view (see Kos town and Turkey). The towels and linen changed daily.
The hotel put on a fab Greek night ,all tables set out by the pool area. They had a bozuki band and Greek dancers, it was a lovely night. The staff all around the Hotel, could not do enough for you, all really pleasant. I will definitely go back to this hotel, well worth the 5 star rating.
The hotel is 3 km from Kos town, which is worth a visit. We hired pushbikes out and had enjoyable day.
Also first time I used Sunshine.co.uk and I was really impressed. Good efficient service and I will be using them for future holidays. I always book online and I was pleased with their service, unlike On The Beach Holidays who really messed me about.

We were put in here after the Kos...

Aug 2007, Mr A R Heath

We were put in here after the Kos Aqua Club was full and the hotel on the whole is very good. The reception area is 5* as is the bar area.
The rooms are clean and include a free mini bar and you have carpet in the rooms. The all inclusive programme is ok although I feel that Iberostar "play at it" a little. You can only get snacks between 11.00 and 12.00. Ice-cream between 4.30 and 5.30 which is a little harsh. If going for food go early as around 8.00pm it gets very busy but the food is good with lots of choice.
The entertainment as someone has mentioned is very low key and also getting a taxi into Kos Town can be difficult so use the local buses which are fine. Also it is, I am afraid, a rush for the sunbeds as with most places. But on the whole a really nice hotel with good staff and food, not sure about 5* based on where I have been before but certainly 4* and a nice hotel. Have fun!

Excellent hotel, majority of the staff very friendly. We found the reception staff a bit aloof at times. Food was very nice and plenty to chose from. Champagne and smoked salmon on offer every Sunday morning. Rooms were spacious, clean and fully air conditioned. A mini bar that is stocked daily. Plenty of sunbeds, we never had to go down and reserve them at the crack of dawn. 2 pools and a baby pool, one pool was just a deep pool with no shallow end, a life guard was on watch every day which was very good.
Entertainment at night was Steve on his keyboard singing songs, which does not sound great but he had people up every night dancing and singing, and we all had a good laugh even my 13 year old enjoyed sitting outside listening to him. You can go to the other hotels on the complex for more entertainment if you wish.
Downside - hotel safe in the room was 40 euros and you received no money back, which I thought was too expensive. My daughters room was not next to mine as requested when we booked and we couldnt move as the hotel said they were too full. They didnt really try to be fair and so I thought they were not very accomodating with this one request we had. I would definately go again. Suberb hotel..

Absolutely superb holiday. The hotel...

Nov 2006, Mr P Henman

Absolutely superb holiday. The hotel is wonderful. The all-inclusive is a great deal, almost everything is included, beer good, every cocktail you can think of, tennis, table tennis, in room minibar (restocked daily), all are included. The only things we paid for are the pool table (2 euros), and a massage in our room (30 euros). I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
The food is superb - plenty of greek food, with a few more recognisable meals for the kids. It's a buffet, so we ended up filling our plates with loads of small portions, so that we could try everything. Plenty of stuffed vine leaves, veal, octopus, squid etc. along with the more common meats. We even had a roasted suckling pig (with it's head still on) and, how about this, smoked salmon and champagne for breakfast one morning.
We actually booked to stay in the Kipriotis Maris (part of the same complex), but when we arrived discovered that this, along with two other hotels had actually closed for the winter, and so were sent to the Panorama. We didn't complain. A rep told it was the best hotel on the island.
Here comes my drawback, the entertainment each night was a guy on a keyboard, a bit boring for the kids. That's about the only downside. During the main season you can use the facilities of all four hotels, so that won't be a problem.
There's not much in Psalidi, the beach is a bit small and pebbly, though you still get the all-inclusive via a cabin on the beach. Kos Town is lovely, and it's only about 1.5 miles away. Of the excursions we went to the Volcanic Island of Nisorys was the best (you stand in the crater with steam all around you, though it pongs a bit); Bodrum was a bit of a let down (do yourself a favour and don't go on a market day, it took three hours to get there, two hours of queuing at passport control) and don't go through the rep. We also visited Therma, this is a natural volcanic spring into the sea, we thought it would be a bit more impressive than it actually was.
I originally found the holiday on lastminute.com, then shopped around and eventually saved £700 by booking through sunshine.co.uk
I would definitely recommend this holiday to anyone. 10/10

Stayed here on a half boards basis....
7 / 10
Sep 2006, Mr K Riggs

Stayed here on a half boards basis. Decor and rooms very 5* but some staff indifferent. Only the receptionist that was older than the others was of any help on arrival. The others were very matter of fact. In the restaurant the quality and choice of food was excellent and we were lucky to have Vasillas and Anastasias as our waiters. Very friendly and helpful and always ready with a bit of fun. Always chatting to the customers in their area (which is more than the other waiters and waitresses were doing!). So made a point of always being in their area even though it was a smoking part of the restaurant. Maitre'D very friendly also. Room clean and as others have noted chambermaids very efficient and always greeting you in the mornings. BIG MINUS point is no allocation of sunbeds and am ashamed to admit that it was a case of beating the Germans at their own game by putting towels on the beds in the morning before breakfast (although there is a notice in the hotel asking you not to do this). Why they cannot (as they have done in all other 5* hotels I have stayed in) allocate you a spot for the duration I do not know.
Bar staff also very pleasant but sometimes they take quite a while to serve you
However having said all that if the hotel got its act together on the attention to detail and dealt with the surly attitude of SOME staff it would rate much higher.

Jun 2006, Mrs T Barnes

Spent a week at the Kipriotis Panorama in June 2006 with husband and 2 children. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hotel definitely 5 star.
We had Junior Suite with amazing sea views and very spacious plenty of room for all 4 of us. Hotel was spotlessly clean. The entrance lobby and reception area was amazing and very grand. Everything is so shiny and clean! Food was superb with lots of choice and staff were very friendly. Plenty of space round the pool and towels provided.
Only downside was lack of entertainment but you can visit the sister hotels for your evening entertainment or, better still, journey into Kos Town at night for plenty to do. Will definitely return to this hotel in the future.

We stayed just down the road 2 years...

May 2006, Mr D DM

We stayed just down the road 2 years ago, this is a lovely area and nice island.
We went early in the season, one day of rain, otherwise perfect weather, evening just a bit chilly, but still good.
The Panoramas is 5* as far as the accommodation and cleanliness of the rooms and hotel grounds, and the rooms are big, the air conditioning does not work it is just a blower sometimes they do not switch it on to mid summer, service & food is 3-4*, the service is lacking and the food is average, good variety. The maids are very nice though.
The power went off 3 times and there was no not water for over 2 hours one night, not good if you what to bath the baby.
They do not cover the all inclusive that well, if you miss lunch the only food available is cake and biscuits at 4.00 to 5.00pm if you miss dinner there are mid night snacks, never found them. There is no information how it all works and where to go there are very few facilities for children, it mainly for 40+ and 90% of the people there were German at the time of our stay. Very pleasant people though. The pool areas have no steps in to them only ladders, the water is cold, so gradually getting used to the water is not an option, no good for children or 60+ either. No life guard. If you are a couple then this would be an enjoyable holiday.
Although I have highlighted some of the gaps, this is still a lovely place to stay, it just other hotels do the all inclusive and kids much better.
The good thing is that there are three other hotels on the complex, you can use any of those facilities including the restaurants.

This hotel certainly has the 'wow'...

Feb 2006, Mrs L Hill

This hotel certainly has the 'wow' factor. It is like walking onto the set of Dynasty when your first walk in! (Which could have been as a result of the 2.5 hour transfer from the airport!) Still this is a small price to pay as the hotel is immaculately clean & plush, the rooms are massive, bathrooms are beautiful and well supplied with towels and bathrobes.
The pool area is superb, very quiet and you never have to fight for a sunbed or space. The restaurant is fabulous, never having to queue or wait for a table and the food is wonderful. It is great to go to a place where you can dress for dinner and not feel out of place! In fact you are more likely to feel out of place if you venture in your shorts and bikini top (horror!)
Entertainment is very subdued but perfect if you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday, cocktails and a peaceful night sleep rather than karaoke and party til dawn! Not one lager lout in view! This is definitely the kind of place you go to for a bit of 'class'. Kos town is lovely, a bit more down to earth, day trips to Turkey and Rhodes are easy to book, quick and incredibly cheap.
All in all the best holiday ever and we will certainly be going back.

This hotel is beautiful. My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to get a sea view room. The view across to Turkey was stunning and the room itself was, clean, spacious and of a very high standard. All the staff, were pleasant from the receptionists to the chamber maids, they all greeted us happily and with a smile. The three pools were well kept and also had stunning views across the bay. We stayed half board and we were really impressed with the food, not only did it taste good, there was lots of choice. The waiters were helpful and seemed to go of their way to make the eating experience a good one.
I would consider this hotel to be more suited to the older generation as there was not much to do at night, which suited us fine and meant that it was a quiet and peaceful place in the evening. Be warned, it is on a steep hill, so it could pose a problem to those with walking difficulties, although there is a mini bus that runs every 15 minutes taking guests up and down the hill. It seems the hotel caters more for the German market, than the British. There were a lot of Germans there and the TV stations were mostly German, which was a bit of a disappointment. But then you don’t go on holiday for the TV.
The beach was a long walk down the hill and a bit of a disappointment when we arrived because it is a shingle beach and not at all inviting. If you are looking for a 7 day break, to relax and rejuvenate you will certainly find this at the Iberostar Kipriotis Panorama.

Nov 2005, Mr S Coe

The Hotel is well worth it's star rating. Very clean and spacious. The Hotel reception is something to behold. Food excellent and plenty of it. The only complaint is the lack of evening entertainment.
The Island is very interesting Zia is a good place to visit for goodies to take home. Paradise Beach was our favourite. The Greek people are friendly and mostly all speak English. Would certainly return to Kos and the Panorama Hotel is great.

Sep 2005, Miss J Hague

We booked a last minute deal to the Kos Bay for a week, It is a very nice, clean, well kept and friendly hotel too, the only down side is the hotels 99% German and a lot of the entertainment was in German so as you could imagine my 3 year old son didn’t want to participate in a lot of the activities, which was a shame as they do lots for children!
A week was plenty for us, this hotel would suit young families wanting a relaxing time.
Overall a fantastic break away!

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful...

Aug 2005, Mrs T Jascourt

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting.
The lobby, poolside and accommodation were all incredibly spacious (and there was no need to dash to reserve a sun bed at dawn).
The restaurant was spotlessly clean, and the food served was of a very high standard, with vegetarian diets catered for.
Kos is a beautiful island, and worthy of spending a few days touring.
The hotel itself is quiet, but if you want to be entertained with an animation programme, you are at liberty to visit the other hotels on the complex, use their facilities, and take part in any activities they lay on. My children, aged 13 & 10, went to the Kos Bay View hotel next door on a few occasions to see the shows.
On the whole I would recommend the hotel to anyone, in spite of 2 problem days: the first was when one of the 2 pools was out of use due to filter break down. The communication to the guests was poor. The second was on the day when the hotel hosted a wedding. The needs of the holiday guests were secondary to those of the wedding party. We were made to feel unimportant, and many people were kept awake till 4 am by the music.
However, looking back, I can honestly say that I came home feeling like I had been living like royalty for a fortnight, in a plush and dignified establishment.
