Arrived at the hotel with 3 other girlfriends around 10.30pm. The reception staff were very polite and check in only took about 10 minutes. Even though we had made 2 separate bookings our rooms were next door to each other. The rooms were compact but still enough space for 2 persons to move around without getting on top of each other. The rooms are quite contemporary and beds were very comfy which was a pleasant surprise. The only problem I found is lack of drawers in the room (open shelving not so practical for storing your underwear).

The hotel lobby was vast, airy and beautifully furnished. Breakfast was from 8-11am and the choice was fantastic ranging from fresh fruit, cereals to a good old English breakfast. We would eat breakfast and not need to have lunch.

The location is very close to the marina and beach - no longer than 10mins by foot. Puerto Banus is quite expensive but a jug of Sangria was very reasonable at the hotel (€16) compared to over €20 in bars.

The pool area was clean but if you got there after 12pm it would be difficult to find an available sun lounger. Also beware of sun lounger charges at the beach - one end charges €7 and the other end €16.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would rate it a 4/5* standard.

My first impression of the new and stunning hotel lobby, evaporated quickly when we met the very rude and unhelpful reception staff. Myself and a friend arrived late at night and it took the staff 3 attempts to get our room right. The first room had a double bed when we had requested 2 singles, this we could forgive, however the awful view over a car park and busy road we could not. The second room we were taken to (whilst all the time lugging our cases with no help from the hotel porters) had no balcony and much to our suprise was not even ready the room was a mess. When having to go back down with our cases to the lobby to inform the reception staff they refused to believe us and we had to once again go back up to the room with a member of staff to prove that the room needed cleaning!! After this we finally got a satisfactory room which was clean and tidy. We could have upgraded our room to a newly decorated one but this was 20 euro's per day which is frankly daylight robbery! The quality and choice of the breakfast was excelllent and the salads and fish choices of an evening was also good, however the hot food was a little limited. The pool side snack bar was expensive and also gave a couple food poisening! The bar staff were always friendly and happy to help and much better than the reception staff. The hotel became very roudy when a large group arrived making mess and much noise around the pool this carried on into the night until the early hrs of the morning. The staff did their best to calm them down but the noise at night kept me awake. Other things occured during the week and I could go on complaining but I will leave it at this. I feel that the 4 star rating is too high as the reception staff certainly do not match that. I stay in alot of hotels 4 star and above and have never been so disappointed. I have never complained before about any hotel but feel compelled to warn people that although this hotel may look impressive, beware looks can be deceiving!!

I went here for a week with my girlfriend. When we arrived in the hotel there was 4 people behind the reception desk but it took them 10 minutes to serve us! When we got to our room I was very disappointed it was right beside the main road and had a horrible view of the dirty car park. The room was small for a 4 star hotel. But I thought I would give it a chance.

We decided to go for a walk around the hotel to see what shops/restaurants were near, but there are very few. You have to walk under the main road in an underpass (that could do with a clean and a fresh coat of paint!!) to get to the town. Its about a ten minutes walk from the town/harbour of Puerto Banus, although the taxi is only a few euros and only takes a minute.

There is a great shopping department store called Courte De Ingles and they sell everything (food, clothes, perfume, household goods, alcohol). There are other designer shops around the area but most things cost the same as back home! The harbour is lovely and full of restaurants and bars.

On our 1st night in our room, it wasn't the main road that woke me up, but the people next door having a domestic, shouting, screaming and slamming the doors at 4 until 6 in the morning, by then I was sick of it. I went to reception and asked to be moved. The man on reception was very nice and he told me to come back around 10 in the morning and he would move us. They even moved our luggage for us!

There is 1 old man that works in the pool bar and also in the bar in the hotel that is very grumpy and rude! You will spot him if you go there.

Breakfast was lovely!! There was a great choice of things that you could have but you have to be quick before its all gone!

Overall it was a great holiday but I don't think I would stay here again. It is not value for money and it is not a family hotel as every woman by the pool is topless!

Rooms were nice and spacious, clean with a large bathroom, although the view from our room wasn't all that great.

Breakfast was good with anything from continental to cooked breakfast as well as omlettes cooked to your requirement before your eyes. They even served cavier and cava for breakfast, if you could eat/drink it at that hour.

The pool and facilities were great, with a big outside pool with poolside bar, indoor heated pool, gym, games room and jacuzzi.

There were a few good restaurants surrounding the Hotel, Louis' Lounge had some great live music, although the hotel was the wrong side of the main road, to get to the harbour you have to take a taxi or walk through the underpass.

This was our first trip to the Costas. We had always been wary of visiting this part of Spain.

The hotel was in an excellent location just set back from the beach and marina. The half board option allows you lunch or dinner. We often went for the lunch option as we preferred to eat out in the evenings. The lunch option is very limited. I am vegetarian, although my husband isn't. There is a limited choice for vegetarians although you won't starve. The staff are excellent, the hotel is clean and the service was very good. The pool area is not huge but we were always able to get a sun bed.

The resort itself is very built up. It's perfect if you want to go to bars and restaurants in the evening. We didn't find eating out by the marina that expensive (probably the equivalent of English prices or a bit lower). Restaurants elsewhere are cheaper, but this is one of the best places to go and be seen in the evenings. The shops are open very late and seven days a week and there are plenty of things to buy at reasonable prices as well as the chic designer shops.

There are trips available - there was a mess up on our first one where the coach didn't turn up at all! They were apologetic but it meant we couldn't go to Tangiers at all - they only run the trip on a Saturday. There are other trips e.g. Gibraltar. This is probably only worthwhile if you want to buy the duty free. There is very little else to see there.

All in all we enjoyed our week there and would go back.

Beautiful Hotel, very clean, wonderful food, nice pools. Waiters very slow to clear tables in restaurant. Happy hour in bar from 6 to 7 at night, drinks half price, only problem is, if you only drink in the bar at happy hour and sign for your drinks and pay at the end of your stay, you are charged full price between 6 and 7. So beware, check your bills very carefully, or you will pay twice as much as you should. Traffic noise could be a problem, but the double glazing is excellent.
