Arrived at the hotel with 3 other girlfriends around 10.30pm. The reception staff were very polite and check in only took about 10 minutes. Even though we had made 2 separate bookings our rooms were next door to each other. The rooms were compact but still enough space for... more

My first impression of the new and stunning hotel lobby, evaporated quickly when we met the very rude and unhelpful reception staff. Myself and a friend arrived late at night and it took the staff 3 attempts to get our room right. The first room had a double bed when we... more

I went here for a week with my girlfriend. When we arrived in the hotel there was 4 people behind the reception desk but it took them 10 minutes to serve us! When we got to our room I was very disappointed it was right beside the main road and had a horrible view of the... more

Rooms were nice and spacious, clean with a large bathroom, although the view from our room wasn't all that great. Breakfast was good with anything from continental to cooked breakfast as well as omlettes cooked to your requirement before your eyes. They even served cavier... more

This was our first trip to the Costas. We had always been wary of visiting this part of Spain. The hotel was in an excellent location just set back from the beach and marina. The half board option allows you lunch or dinner. We often went for the lunch option as we... more

Beautiful Hotel, very clean, wonderful food, nice pools. Waiters very slow to clear tables in restaurant. Happy hour in bar from 6 to 7 at night, drinks half price, only problem is, if you only drink in the bar at happy hour and sign for your drinks and pay at the end of... more

Fantastic hotel
Stayed in this hotel from march 4th for 3 nights with a couple of friends. Everything about the hotel was great including the entertainment at night! Fabulous selection of good food and the service was second to none. First night there was no pool view rooms available but without any bother we were moved to one the next day! we also had lovely sunny weather,so sat and relaxed by the pool. You can either walk to the Port or take a taxi for approx 4 euros. Nightlife is great there! Cant wait to go back!
Good One!!
Stayed here for 4 nights last week and had a nice relaxing break. Pool area was very nice, except extremely cold although refreshing after having endured the belting hot sun (yes in March). Breakfast was good, although I would recommend an earlier sitting to ensure that things are fresh. Great fresh juice and there is an omelette man. Rooms were very clean. Would stay here again although I can see how the place could get overcrowded at a busier time of year.
Miss The Breakfasts!
We stayed here for 4 nights recently as the H10 Estepona Palace further down the road was full (fabulous hotel, 10/10 for everything). Was a perfectly good hotel but not sure it deserved 4* status (again comparing it to its sister hotel in Estepona which is 4*, by comparison then, The Espepona Palace should be a 6*!). Room was nice, plenty of storage, balcony very very small. Room noisy due to proximity to the road/motorway, but in fairness did not keep us awake, probably due to the secondary glazing. Very unhappy one day when the maid cleaned our room while we were at breakfast after we had put the Do Not Disturb sign on the door - we had left camera, passports, money & jewellery on view - nothing was missing but the principle was that what is the point of the sign on the door? Breakfast was delicious, regularly topped up with hot & fresh food, nice to see a permanent supply of perfectly cooked lightly fried eggs (not the rock hard crispy variety so often found abroad). Chef on hand to cook omlettes or pancakes to order. Would have to be really picky to fault breakfast. We stayed half board (again, assuming the food would be as outstanding as the Estepona Palace). It wasn't. Evening meal wasn't the worse we've ever had but certainly not the best. Choice was quite limited, didn't like the look of a lot of it, most of the food was labelled but it just didn't "grab us". Italian evening was lovely, the other evenings were average, japanese evening was awful. Would have been very annoyed if we'd been there for a week or more & had paid in advance for half board. Pool area lovely, road noise rather dominating though. Indoor pool fabulous although most annoyed we had to pay 6 euros each for a swimming cap! All in all, wouldn't stay here again, but not because it was awful, just because there's somewhere better.
Winter Break
Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Lovely clean room overlooking the swimming pool.Very nice bathroom.Breakfast was excellent and did inculded sparkling wine as well as everything else you can think of.The evenings were a bit chilly and we took up the hotel's offer of a half board package for 11 Euros each.( It is a bit of a walk to the harbour by an underpass).Turned out to be a bargin as the food was very good although buffet style.Always had drinks at happy hour before dining and some kind of entertainment was on every evening.( piano , dancers etc) in the lovely foyer. The staff could not do enough to please.I understand the comments about lack of sun beds and long corridors. However , this was February where everything is nice and quiet. The bars around the harbour were expensive!Shops were good especailly the shoe shops.
Great hotel! Great stay!
I had heard some good comments on this hotel and I have to say, it more than lived up to my expectations! The foyer was spacious and grand and the staff very helpful and friendly. Ok, the never ending corridors to your room did have a feel of 'The Shining' about them but the room itself was fantastic; a great balcony overlooking the pool and a beautiful bathroom. The food was in abundance and of a high quality. The highlight for me would have to be the pool; a great atmosphere and ideal for a group of girls as there is an excellent area next to the pool with hotel sunbeds. The walk to the port does take about 25 minutes, but I suppose a bit of exercise never hurt anyone! Be advised to get a cab after a night out from the strip though; the walk back to the hotel (particularly under the subway) is very dark and not a good idea in the early hours of the morning! The nightlife is fantastic though-so many bars and full of English people so it's like being with a load of mates! Generally a great atmosphere down there. Also, the hotel is in a great position for the Saturday market up the hill. I would go here every year if I could! One of the down sides was the tv-only English channel was Sky news, which isn't great for a night in!
excellent stay
I stayed in the Andalucia Plaza with a group of girls in May 2005 for 1 week. Hotel was lovely-no faults at all. Room was a nice size, comfy beds and excellent bathroom..which never seems to be mentioned!I agree with the commentary about the thin walls, our problem was hearing footsteps above us (in what sounded like tap dancing shoes) in early hours of the morning!!!but the floors were marble so what can one expect! Unfortunately we had a view over the main road but could also glimpse the sea...so not all bad! minimal noise too. Pool area was lovely, but could get crowded, and even in May we sometimes struggled to find a sunbed..but got one eventually! (it was half term) the food was excellent. the breakfast was my favourite, everything you could possibly want, hot and cold. the dinner didn't always seem to attract me but food catered for all different types/nationalities. short journey into Peurto Banus and to the shops, only 4 euro by taxi. Can't fault this holiday at all, and would definately stay here again. Staff were extremely friendly, rooms cleaned everyday by friendly maids who would come back if you weren't quite ready!Great stay.
Good value for money
My husband and I checked in a on a Sunday and stayed three nights, checking out on a Wednesday. We were in Marbella on a business trip and didn´t spend much time in the hotel during the day. For our needs which were cleanliness, comfort and convenient location at a reasonable price, it was great value for money at €50 euros for the first two nights and €80 euros for the third night. Had we spent much more than €100 euros a night and were here on a vacation, my review would not be as positive, expecting and wanting more for more money spent and wanting more luxury and amenities, but that was not the case this trip and for our needs it was a great deal. Breakfast buffet was really good and included in the price of the room. Rooms are basic but clean and reasonably comfortable. I found bathroom products to be a bit sparse, just barely enough shampoo. And unfortunately the walls are rather thin, I had no choice but to listen to the conversation of the couple staying next to us when they raised their voices. I read commentary in an early review that the pool and sun bathing areas are small for the size of the hotel. We weren´t there to hang out by the pool but I agree with that commentary, it is small for the number of people who must stay at this hotel in the peak season. Service in general was excellent. Wait staff at the restaurant very solicitous and friendly. And we had problems with getting reception on some television channels and a technician came very quickly and fixed the problem. Overall I recommend this hotel.
Go somewhere else
This hotel is a funny mix - good in parts. The entrance hall and public areas are spacious and impressive. The pool is fine as long as you can ignore the neighbouring dual-carriageway. One's spirits tumble a little as you trudge down the dowdy and never-ending corridor to your room, which is OK, but somehow misses the point of real 4* luxury. Maybe it was all the large signs offering things for sale in the room. OK lots of hotels charge for things, but they do so rather more discreetly. And I suggest the positive feeling from a 'free' bottle of water or bowl of fruit would be worth far more to the hotel. Breakfast was ok - certainly there was lots of it. My real negatives on the place come from not feeling safe. Or rather the consequences of feeling safe, when I shouldn't have been. I see I am not supposed to report on violent criminal activity, so suffice to say that my teenage son and his friend learned some hard life lessons on an early evening stroll down into town. No lasting damage thank goodness.
Watch your bags as you check in.
Excellent location for Puerta Banus and car parking is free and always available, not like the Port side. +'s Location, breakfasts, Casino, easy parking. local restuarants and bars. Avg's. Rooms, size of hotel. -'s Traffic noise pending on what side of the hotel you are, hotel is very large. WATCH OUT, I HAVE WITNESSED TWO ROBBERIES IN THE RECEPTION AREA, WHEN YOU ARRIVE JUST DON'T LOSE SIGHT OF YOUR BAGS AS YOU CHECK IN. ON BOTH OCASSIONS THE THEIF WAS HANGING ABOUT, AND THEY ARE NOT ALWAYS OBVIOUS UNTIL ITS TOO LATE.
Handy for P. Banus
We have just returned from staying at this hotel for four nights. The breakfast is worth every penny or euro. It is well worth having. The pool was very over-crowded and in places not tidy. There were a mix of age groups at the hotel. Some of the 25+ were somewhat noisey at times but - again this was only around the pool area. The rooms were fine although we felt they were a little "tired". I am not sure that in places - this hotel could be classes as 3* although in othere areas it is still a 4*. The H10 Estepona Palace is classes as a 4* but we felt it was more a 5*.read review.
