Breathtaking views of an unspoilt landscape with the sea just a stroll away. The way to Elafonisi Lagoon is lined with tiny traditional villages which tourists rarely visit. It's a long journey and the area is sparsely populated because of the wild and dramatic scenery and distance from the main towns in the north. An advantage to us of course if looking for a villa with character and style, stunning views and a real get-away-from-it-all atmosphere.

Green Villa
The villa is in the village of Pemonia, which is between Rethymnon and Chania, so the shops and sights of both can be enjoyed easily with a car. Only 20 minutes down the road is Vrisses, well known for its yoghurt and cheese production.

The Kalyves Villas are located in the village of Kalyves in the Apokoronas district of Chania, at a quiet location surrounded by olive trees, 500m (1640ft) from the beach, overlooking the sea, the Lefka Ori (White Mountains) and Kalyves.

This lovely villa overlooks Livadia Bay, which itself is backed by the dramatic mountains of the southwest. The views out to sea are splendid, as are the sunsets, possibly some of the most spectacular in Crete.

The Orpheas villa is a lovely surprise, at the end of a winding country road, hidden well away behind a villa complex with smart lawns and colourful landscaped gardens, it benefits from its own entrance and has the air of a well cared for villa.

It's peaceful. It's secluded. And it's got views to die for. Little Villa Theo is wonderfully placed if you're looking for a rural hideaway far from the madding crowd. That's not to say that it's remote though. It's a 30 minute drive to Kolymbari and its pebble beach.
