Great place, peter and Stella work so hard to make your holiday special. Will be booking again for sure. Hotel is in a great location with the beach being so close and plenty of nice resturants. The beach is one of the best I've visited and great for snorkeling.

Stayed at the Antonis in June 2009 and enjoyed every moment.Peter and his Mum were the perfect hosts and nothing was to much trouble for them.
The breakfast at the pool bar was really enjoyable because you got to know everyone and it made the holiday so much more enjoyable.
Tried to book for 2010 but Libra Holidays had gone to the wall and could not find the Antonis in any other holiday companys brochure. We booked in another hotel in Kefalos and went to see Peter, who was having a hard time of it but he told us to keep looking in the brochures for this year and low and behold the Antonis (or Antonys as it is now known)is in the Manos / Thomas Cook brochure.(lammie42) and is also bookable on line with the same companies.
Loooking forward to another great holiday.

My girlfriend and I holidayed here in August 2007 and had a brilliant time. Having travelled extensively in Greece, the rooms at Antonis are as good as if not better than most 3 star hotels in Greece.
Air Con nearly always costs extra - and is a must during the summer in Greece. The pool was nice and never ran out of sunbeds. The bar isnt open really late but is during the day and serve good food.
For a cheap holiday you cant go wrong with the Antonis.
Kefalos is a beautiful place with a lovely beach and many great restaurants and bars.
Would recommend it to anyone.

This place is very very tired. Everything is held together with nails, bits of string and chewing gum.
Pool area is concrete - no tiles or nice grassy areas here. The perimeter of the hotel where you might expect gardens is like a building site with rubbish and old bits of concrete, old jetski engines etc strewn everywhere.
The 7 of us in the party were very much less than impressed. The poolside kitchen is grotty and somewhat reminiscent of a field hospital.
Breakfast was toast, tea or coffee, diluted orange plus yoghurt, cheese and ham, one boiled egg in rotation every 3 days.
The much vaunted Peter served breakfast from 8-10 and was then conspiscuous by his absence for the rest of the day leaving his ageing non-english speaking mother running the show.
His only topic of conversation was to jokingly ask the women if they wanted to go dancing with him or to tell them that their husbands had gone off with another woman after they had gone to sleep last night.

Myself and my Fiancee have just returned back from spending 2 weeks at the Antonis Hotel. When we arrived we were shocked how basic the rooms were, bathrooms really tiny no Air condition but you can pay for this which is 40 euros per week. which you will def need in the hot months as the rooms are so hot. also you must keep the doors to the balcony closed as the hotel is situated on the main road and there is so much noise at night time from the qauds and scooters going past. the hotel is near to the beach and has a shop near bye. And also found it much cheaper to buy your own beer and stick it in the fridge in the room, even though your not meant too.
plenty of restaurants around all serve the same stuff apart from Captain Johns which was bum shankin ech (well good). and there is only one good bar/club (players bar) which plays decent music but the drinks are well expensive. 1 Bud and 1 cocktail was 9 euros.
overall tho if you dont want to spend 2 weeks with loads of chavs you want good weather and a nice time kefalos is ok. its all about what you make of it me and the mrs had a wicked time and cant belive were back in crappy England

We booked a last minute holiday, October to Kefalos and stayed at Antonis Hotel, we love all the Greek islands and have been to a few, but Kefalos is the best. The people, everything all great, Peter what a great guy.
We have been back to Kefalos October 2007 but stayed s/c and have already booked to stay at Antonis again this year, but have to stay for 2wks? can't wait. The hotel is lovely and breakfast is spot on and agree with all the others Peter can't do enough for you. We are really looking forward to meeting all the locals again what else can we say all lovely people. We met an english couple last year who have now moved out to Kefalos hope we see them this year? Something to think about ????

Well my husband Gordon and myself have just returned home after staying at Antonis Hotel, and what a holiday we had. We had read reviews about the place, and have to agree with everyone when they say Peter and his mum make you at home, and cant do enough for you to have a nice relaxing time.
We also met nice people who have been going back year after year, it was home from home. I have to say it was a holiday where both Gordon and myself were not ready to go home.
Next year we are hoping to take my sister and brother-in-law along with us, as we know they will enjoy the lovely Greek food on offer in the many restaurants, and nights at Sydneys Bar, a good holiday all round.

Been back once again for the seventh year, what can I say fantastic once again.
The fridge in the room, beds changed every other day, clean towels every day.
The breakfast are lovely, Peter changes the breakfasts so it doesn’t get boring, sometimes ham and cheese, then boiled eggs, sometimes Greek yogurt with honey plus you get a fab cup of tea just like home, plus toast jam Lurpak butter and fresh orange juice or Nescafe coffee. They do full breakfast just like home best back bacon hp baked beans for 5 euro.
But all the food is lovely no matter what you have you get plenty, sometimes too much, try the Greek salads they are fab, but share 1 to much for 1 person.
If you are going to Kefalos stay here the people are lovely, everybody is friendly all the staff, Pete his mother and Maria and all the guests, you will make a lot of friends we have and meet up with them every year.
Peter has a bar on site, but be careful with his drinks, you will get drunken lol slept well every night and his beer is ice cold and you get iced glasses with your drinks.
I’m going back next year but can’t stay at Peters and I’m so sad I am taking my granddaughter and Peter only does double rooms which is so sad, so am staying at Kamari bay just across the road if you are going here for your holiday give Pete my love and I know you will have a fab holiday.
But a word of warning if you like Benidorm, Ibiza, do not go to Kefalos it is for chilling out only lol so enjoy anybody that is going.

Enjoyed the resort and the Antonis hotel. The Antonis was a typical Greek hotel in the heart of the resort.
Peter who ran the hotel with his mother and 1 helper was a great guy so laid back that nothing phased him. He did everything from meeting and greeting, Breakfast, Barman, pool cleaner and maintenance man. Does he ever sleep?
The hotel was spotlessly clean with several changes of bedding during the week and clean towels every day.
Most people seemed to come back to the bar each evening to drink and chat before retiring to bed.
The resort is not very lively but has an excellent range of tavernas too many to mention and not a one we would not go back too. The food was the best we have had in Greece.
Only 1 or 2 bars that offered live entertainment. Bar Sydney was our favourite.
We had hoped to get to see more of the island during the second week; however a heat wave with temps approaching 50c in the sun made it difficult to get out and about.

We have been to Antonis Hotel twice, we are going back this year, we had a lovely time.
Peter and his Mum are so helpful, and I took my own bread with me, as I have a special diet, which he toasted every morning to my satisfaction.
The locals are really friendly; Kefalos Tours next door to the Hotel are also very helpful. Stella works there, does a good deal on hire cars, safety deposit boxes and tours.
If you are looking for a night club holiday, this is not the place for you, but the local restaurants are second to none, I don’t think we had a bad meal while we there.
There is an excellent bar called Bar Maria, really good chilled out place and always very popular.
There is a slight problem with noise at night, but this is the same in the whole village.
The hotel itself is quiet and well run.
Try the Antonis Fruit Salad, Peters Mum makes it while you wait, it’s more than enough and delicious.

We have just returned from a week long stay at Antonis Hotel,Kefalos...i agree that it's a very relaxing location and very much a place for peace and quiet...my husband and myself enjoyed it very much...very cheap to hite a scooter or quad to explore the island and it really is a must as you get to see quite a lot this way...food all excellent and cheap beer...not much in the way of shops and essentials like shower gels and toiletries were xpensive...on the hotel we found not having a tea and coffee on hand in the room was a miss as every time you felt like a cuppa it was 4 euros a time for a tea and coffee!!!pool area could do with an upgrade as bit scruffy around the pool and surrounding bar area...was all very basic ,but quite clean and a good maid service..well stocked fridge on arrival and kept topped up through the week ,which you pay for at end of holiday...rather disappointed as no air con and we were told we had air con...but was not told we had to pay 40 odd euro's for the week if we required air con ,so beware of this!!!!would go back to kefalos ,but not to Antonis....
