We had a very pleasant one night stay here. On arrival we were advised by the receptionist that the queen sized bed which we had booked would not be big enough for us (neither of us are large - overweight people could have been offended by this!). We were persuaded to upgrade to a room with a king size bed for an extra 30 euros. Having agreed to this we were told that there were none of these rooms available and so we were further upgraded (free) to an executive room. We were not disappointed!
It was a penthouse room, large and airy with modern decor and a huge flat screen TV on the wall. The state of the art walk-in shower however, was not so good as it flooded the rest of the bathroom.
The hotel is situated on a quiet part of the Ringstrasse, across the road from the opera house and within a short walk of St. Stephen's Cathedral and the other main attractions, shops and restaurants. The bar was very pleasant during the day but noisy and smoky at night and the pool, sauna and gym were excellent. We did not eat either breakfast or dinner in the hotel but there are dozens of coffee houses and restaurants nearby. Although we did not get to see what the original room that we had booked was like, in general we found the staff friendly and helpful and we would stay there again.
