We just got back from Tryp Cayo Coco Sept 28 2011, thus far it was the best vacation we have had yet in Cuba. Been to Cuba several times and we have visited several different parts of the Island but Tryp Cayo Coco is superior to all the others. From the start the reception... more

I went to Tryp Cayo Coco November 2010 with a friend and I wouldn't be exaggerating when I say it is one of the best holidays I've ever had. Hotel was divine, food was delicious and the beach and location were paradisaic. I enjoyed it so much that me and my partner are going back November this year and we're both really excited

We spent two weeks at the Tryp in July 2008 with extended family and overall had a great holiday. ROOMS We looked at all the room locations and decided that Blocks 10 or 11 were the best ones for us. We e-mailed the hotel in advance and requested four rooms in Block 10. ... more

MANGOS!
My friends and I went to tryp Cayo Coco from May 18th to the 25th and it was the best experience that we've ever had! The food was ok just be sure to bring pepto bismal! (Incase of an attack!) But other then that things were perfect! The beach was beautiful and the pools were awsome! We became really good friends with the entertainment staff! Without them the trip wouldn't have been the same! If your choose Tryp Cayp Coco tell Joel, Marco, Fermin, Russolino, and Hector that "The Lazy Girls Miss you all!" The night club was so much fun and the drinks were so full of alcohol! What more can you ask for! We'll be back next year for sure!!!!!!
Beautiful Place, Food......Not So Great, But What Can You Expect?? (21 Year Old F)
The flight was short and sweet, we got through customs fairly quickly, and the bus ride was short as well, about 20-25 mins. When we arrived at the hotel, our room key didn't work two times, it felt as if the resort was a little too big, for everyone to be accomidated properly and promptley. when the key finally worked, our safety deposit box key didn't work 2 times as well. Then that finally got fixed. The resort is huge and beautiful, tons of palm trees, and beautiful villa structures (old part of the hotel) to see. The resort could take between 25-45 mins. to walk from one end, to the other depending on how fast you walk, but don't worry, there's this cute train that takes you around. There's a standard all inclusive bracelet you can get and a super all inclusive one as well. We were told that all you needed was the standard one, but after a few days, we wished we had super, because there's more of a variety (all the a la cartes are included) which makes a difference if your big on food. Yarey's pizza was GREAT, we ate there most of the time. The salt water pool is pretty cool, if you want to spend some quiet time. The staff was pretty nice overall (some nicer than others), the food was pretty bland, but that's what it's like pretty much everywhere you go, when it's all inclusive. Besides the beginning, with all the key problems, the trip went pretty well, the beach was sparkling, I would definatley recommend this place to anyone, I'm pretty sure this stuff doesn't happen to everyone that goes there!
before you fall in love
it's big, but you'd never know it. there is everything for everyone. the staff do not harrass adding true genuine pleasure to the trip. don't worry, you will love it. if you are reading this from Toronto before you go, please e-mail me. There are a few things i would like to tell you. i also have some pictures i can e-mail you if you want a better idea. thanks, and enjoy!
Absolutely fantastic!
This was the first time my wife and I had ever been anywhere tropical together. We had the best time of our lives and we are going back for our one year anniversry at the end of August. This was the best time to go because it's storm season and there are very few people there. It's still VERY HOT and litle to no rain. If it ever did rain, it was for about 5-10 minutes, then sun for the rest of the day.We recommend this place to anyone who wants to unwind from work and the every day stress of life.
Amazing Vacation!
My friends and I visited Cuba during the March break and the place was packed with students, it was a 24 hour party. The accomodations were excellent. We stayed on the old side of the resort and you'd think that being on the old side would be a bad thing, no way. Wherever you stay in the resort there is always something close to you and the rooms are very comfortable. The new side had the disco and the salt water pool but the old side had a 24 hour bar/snack bar (try the ham & cheese) and the stage where the shows were held each night. I recommend looking into day trips and excursions. We went to Moron and saw another side of cuba, we also went snorkling on a glass-bottom boat in the coral reef (awsome!), we also went horseback riding on the beach, and much much more. The only real criticism I had of the resort was the food, it's not the greatest but it's not bad. But hey, 1 of 100 ain't bad! If there is anyone who would like more information about Tryp Cayo Coco please feel free to e-mail me at lambo530@mail.com and I will be glad to answer your questions.

Best Vacation Ever
Returned from club tryp May 5.At first I was a little disappointed but after one day everything fell into place. The best meals were at the beach grill. The staff were very friendlyand helpful.Cuba people are by far the nicest people in the world. The beach is wonderful and the drinks at all the bars are great.WE brough clothes ,toys and hair bows to the maids and we tipped mostly the men that worked on the grounds andthe cooks at the beach grill and the young lady that made the delicious omellets each morning. We felt the bartenders received enough tips from other people. We met a wonderful young man, named Manuel who worked mainly on the beach and with the children. He always went out of his way to include us in the games. My only complaint is they didn,t provide a room for the guests to use on our last day as promised and we had to check out at noon.People went to the beach until 4 or 5 oclock expecting to be able to have a shower when theyreturned from the beach. They weren,t very happy getting on a plane with sand still on them. Also, I felt they wanted too much money $50.00, to keep your room for a few more hours. Other than that I would go back to Club Tryp tomorrow.
wow!
We were there Apr27-May04/03. The resort is going through some changes so they seemed a bit short of staff, otherwise it was nice. You must eat at Loma Azul - a la carte restaurant! Excellent steak! If you are an animal lover, please, please feed a little kitty that lives on the resort. He likes fish, chicken and shrimps. The staff is not allowed to feed the cats but the guests can do so. He is the cutest thing, friendly, loving, playful. He is light brown with dark lines (like a little tiger) and loves to sleep in the rooms. He spent two nights in our room. Slept like a baby and ate like he has never seen food before. Also, bring clothes, gum, candy, toothpaste, pens, Tylenol, etc. if you feel generous and want to donate to some of the workers. They are extremely poor and will accept things with tears in their eyes. The waiters/maids get most gifts, but you can help gardiners, sales people on the beach, etc... Only when you visit countries like Cuba, you can appreciate how fortunate and wealty we are!! Have a great time! Christina
