Very friendly hotel in a lovely position. Rooms quite basic, but then most three star are in Greece, but a nice amenities.
Could not complain about anything, apart from the breakfast was a little boring and the same everyday. The Manager asked us for our comments when we left and we told him about the breakfast and he was very grateful for our comments and said the would try and improve. He also told us that the hotel was going to have some refurbishment work done at the end of 2007.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants somewhere quite to relax. There is a lovely walk around the Pennisular and the boat in the little bay to Skiathos town is very nice way to get into town.
All in all we loved it and will return again this year.

The hotel was of a high standard with friendly and efficient staff. The hotel is positioned in a quiet bay, mid way along the island with a beach 50m away. The swimming pool was clean but could have done with a few more sun beds. The hotel was 700 m from the main road which crosses the island but this suited us fine. It was secluded but easily accessed. The breakfasts were comprehensive and available until 10.30.
The bus service was efficient if a little crowded at times. The hotel had a mini bus that visited Skiathos town 2 or 3 times a day and it was free. A boat provided a taxi service to Skiathos Town. The local Taverna was situated on the beach and served excellent food.
I never called upon the services of the rep, but she was available 5 days a week at the hotel for a couple of hours and by mobile on the other 2 days.
I would certainly revisit the hotel.

Room so damp that clothes felt damp all the time as did the beds. Even worse was the fact that our suitcases and holdalls all developed mildew!
Room furnishing minimal and basic MDF - the poorest I have seen in Greece.
One inside bar which is minute - 6 people around it and it was full and was closed almost all of the 2 weeks. The outside bar next to the outside restaurant was not much bigger but did have a couple of tables. Having said this the staff were very friendly. This kept trying to get people to eat in it - bar-b-Q nights, fish nights with masses of food but at a high price and not wonderful. Result was only 2 or 3 tables were ever occupied and then only by those who were too tired to go out.
There are a couple of tavernas within walking distance if you are fit (quite hilly). Otherwise there is a great water taxi from the beach in front of the hotel which makes the 20 minute trip to Skiathos town where there are some excellent places to eat - Maria’s Italian superb and quirky, narrow streets to sit in and the Windmill gives a fantastic view of planes landing on the most scary runway west of Singapore! The skid marks are awesome. Don’t fly to Skiathos if you have even the teeniest weaniest fear of flying - landing and take off are not for the faint hearted.
A very touristy island, some reasonable walking if you are fit. A ferry trip to Skopelos and Alonnisos but NOT with the tour company is a good day out but I wouldn’t go to Skiathos again. There are dozens of much nicer islands.

Have been travelling to the Plaze since 2002 and will continue to return to this Hotel time and time again. The rooms are basic but have air conditioning and the maids clean every day. The staff are helpful and friendly and will endeavour to do anything extra that you require. My daughter has just had her 16th Birthday there, with her own live music, cake and champagne.
It is situated just a short walk to the beach and there are several local tavernas and a bar. Water sports, boat hire and sunbeds are provided on the beach (at a charge). There is rather a steep hill running down to the Hotel which might be difficult for some however. The water taxi runs from the beach every hour into Skiathos town, the bus stop is approx 15 minutes walk away and of course, the hotel will call taxis.
Since 2002 I have seen many improvements at this Hotel, it just seems to get better and better each time we return.
Roll on 2009!!
