Atlantis Dunapark Reviews
" Had a good holiday at the Bahia... "
Submitted By: Mr F Links
Had a good holiday at the Bahia Princess this year. Room was very nice with a pool view, which was lit up in the evening. The air con was a big let down. (Florida pro’s unfortunately and used to freezing air con conditions!) It was very poor but the same for everyone we found out.

When you entered your room you had to place your room key card into a slot on the wall next to the bathroom in order to activate the electricity and air con. That’s fine but the down side is that when you leave the room you have to remove your room key card, and the air con goes off. Subsequently when you return to the room it is sticky and uncomfortably hot (we went in August!).
Food is very good with plenty of choice. Chefs on hand cooking a couple of extra meat/fish dishes every night. Waiters very polite.
Be warned - the dress code for gentlemen is long trousers for dinner and they WILL enforce that. We saw a number of guys being asked to return to their rooms and change. They will not even tolerate 3/4 length cargo trousers for the guys.
The pool is excellent and our son had grown webbed feet by the time we managed to coax him out! The kids all played together and got on well. The sister hotel opposite The Guayarmina Princess was very crowded by the pool and there were certainly more kids over there. The Bahia Princess is certainly the better of the two.
The Water Polo with Nikita is a recipe for a stay in hospital, as it can get a little rough. I was goalkeeper on 2 days and I had more bruises and scraped skin than I thought possible! It was good fun though.
If you go to the market and your little darlings manage to talk you into any Game Boy Advance games then BEWARE! We purchased a Gameboy Advance game, which had 126 games on it. It worked for 1 day and when we went back to the market we couldn’t find the Asian lady who sold it to us. However after a little help from a ex pat stallholder we found her and she VERY unwillingly paid up. We then found an Irish guy called Adrian (whose parents run a baby supplies stall opposite his) and he sold us the same type of game (120 games this time) for about £40.00. We have not had any problems with it and Adrian was very genuine. So, if you have to buy then get it from him.
All in all a good holiday and whilst we will not be returning to Costa Adele we were captivated by the North end of the Island which was green and home to hundreds of banana plantations.

" Original holiday booked through First... "
Submitted By: Miss S Wilkinson
Original holiday booked through First Choice was cancelled due to building work but it all turned out in our favour. Booked hotel through the Internet and was really pleased with everything.
Staff were welcoming and always willing to help. Rooms were large and spacious. Every room has a large balcony over looking pool area or the gardens. We all enjoyed the food, buffet for breakfast - cooked sausages, bacon etc, omelettes, crepes, Danishes, yoghurt, fruit salad, and the evening buffet included a variety of meats, fish, vegetables, rolls, and a choice of deserts.
Pool area was lovely and not too many children running about, quite a small area but very peaceful and relaxing. Only fault with the hotel was the evening entertainment. One night there was a magician (ok if you had children) and a couple of nights there was a singer with a saxophone player (that was about it).
Corralejo is a lovely town, but doesn’t have all of the clubs and bars that some younger people would want. The Rock Island Bar that we went to had acoustic music playing, but this was stopped at mid-night due to local restrictions. Had a couple of meals out and it was always really nice and well priced. Recommend doing the snorkel safari over to Lobos Island, scuba diving and the Quad bikes.
We did also hire a car out for 3 days, roads are brilliant over there and it’s easy to get all the way to the south of the island - the beaches are even nicer down there. Getting over to Lanzarote is quite expensive so we missed doing that. Flag Beach is great if you want to do kite-surfing, but if you want to go to relax then stay away from the more 'active course' areas.
Holiday was thoroughly enjoyable and I would definitely return to the hotel. It was much nicer then we ever expected.

Booked single room with street view but had large room with double bed with balcony.
Buffet breakfast very good. Evening entertainment different every night but I knew lots of local bars.
Imagine near the Shell garage is the best bar for live music, English & Spanish and a bit of classical. Very versatile.
I would give the hotel a 4 star rating and the staff were very friendly. The gym could do with a bit of updating of equipment.
The town has many good shops and lovely beaches. There are some typical English bars but it is easy to avoid these and go somewhere better like Rock Cafe, Rock Island & Imagine.
I am 45 and single and felt very comfortable on my own in the hotel and the town and bars. I did not get bothered by any unwanted attention. This is a very safe town and I saw no trouble at all.
I will be coming back to this town again, 15 years already, and also to this hotel - top marks.
Clientele were nice and only a few well behaved children.
Weather fantastic but be very careful not to burn as the gentle breeze takes the heat off it.
Taxi transfers are best as they are only about 36 Euros rather than tour operator bus that takes about an hour stopping at everyone’s hotel/resort.
