We heard lots of good things about this hotel before we went so were really excited!
We were first dropped off by the transfer coach which was really good as we were really tired from flight! The hotel looked amazing when we pulled up, up its own little road so not on a busy road.
The reception man was very friendly and helpful and directed us to our room.
The room was basic but nice, and extremely clean. We didn’t have a balcony unfortunately as there were only two of us, but that didn’t affect our holiday.
The pool was really nice, and there was a gorgeous view of the beach which was a two min walk away!
We didn’t try the food in the hotel as ate out every night, but there’s a handy little shop for snacks. The pool bar was small but we never struggled to find a table and the food was nice and cheap! Happy hour at the pool bar was good!
On the one day that it rained for a few hours, we went and played pool and different games, but it didn’t last long and the weather was so nice, 36 degrees at hottest!
There’s not much to do in Amadores entertainment wise but a taxi to Puerto Rico was cheap and it’s great there with plenty of bars with nice cocktails!! Drinks were not very cheap but they were stronger than drinks at home, so didn’t need as much lol!
The hotel was cleaned all the time and we didn’t have any problems in the hotel, you have to pay to watch the TV but no need as so much to do there!
I strongly recommend the water park, it was fab! So much fun, we thought it'd be cheaper not to book it through hotel but ended up being about the same and it’s easier to go on coach with them!!
On a Friday there’s a great market in Mogan, loads of souvenir opportunities!! We also got a free taxi to Anfi one day which was so beautiful!! I think we were meant to have a talk about buying apartments there but we managed to avoid that and enjoying the beach.
All in all, the best holiday I’ve ever been on and want to go back again! Enjoy!

I and my partner stayed at this amazing place for 2 weeks which just wasn’t long enough.
Firstly and most importantly was that everything was so clean, even the cockroaches didn’t survive as the maids cleaned the floors inside and outside the apartments with a special cleaning fluid, which killed them off.
I can’t fault the accommodation and the lovely pool with its own Jacuzzi outside.
We self catered and ate out on the amadores beach front where all the staff were fantastic- catering to all my fussy vegetarian, no cheese needs. The Canarian potatoes will remain in my memory forever- oh and the crystal clear sea- wow!!
There was good music played daytime by the pool and activities, games and a different show every night.
There is a laundry and a gym and a well stocked mini market- all staff was very helpful.
All in all a fab place and we will be booking again very soon.

My two friends and I enjoyed 1 week in the Mirador Del Atlantico apartments and we had a great time!
The staff were very friendly and the position of the hotel was great! Our apartment was nice and spacious with a nice view from the balcony.
It was a nice relaxing holiday that we needed before we began our exams.
Mirador offers everything you need in a hotel; the only problem was the cockroaches in the rooms. I had many sleepless nights worrying about them!
A fab holiday for young people and couples!

Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone for their great reviews and compliments. I am extremely pleased to hear that the majority of families had an excellent holiday last year at the Mirador.
I had an excellent summer in my first year as an entertainer and want to thank all of the guests for that! Yes I will be back this summer, I mean how could I not return? (England or Gran Canaria urm let me think!). I am back at the start of May ready for a full season until October and I know many of you are returning so I can’t wait for that.
I am also looking forward to all the new families I will meet this year; we are going to have an excellent summer.
See you all soon I hope!

I travelled to Gran Canaria for the first time in June 2006 having booked the Mirador Del Atlantico the previous January.
My first impression as we pulled up near the apartments was looking out over Amadores man made beach and the view was stunning.
We were also the first to be dropped off which I thought was a good thing.
On arrival at the aparthotel it looked spotless and very well maintained. But arriving at about 12-1.00pm in the afternoon, we found we had to negotiate all the sun seekers on the terrace area and pool area to get to block B, which was a bit daunting.
ACCOMMODATION
The rooms I have to say were immaculate, well maintained and spacious with a beautiful view overlooking the beach (and the road).Well equipped with all the mod cons.
No air conditioning was a negative, but the fans available from reception I would highly recommend. Maids were in nearly every day with fresh towels and even washed our dishes.
BEACH
The beach is one of the best I have ever set foot on. Plenty of loungers and plenty of room with the bars and restaurants just behind you. I don’t know what the sirens were from the hotel up on the hill but it sounded like colditz during the war.
ENTERTAINMENT
The entertainment for me got a bit monotonous during the day but some of the shows at night were quite spectacular. Ok the day time is mostly for the kids and I thought Becky did a great job with the kids. And was back every night to get things going again.
EXCURSIONS
We didn’t do all the excursions but we did do the Zig Zag safari and some of the scenery was breathtaking. Not for the faint hearted if you don’t like heights or driving a couple of feet from a 300ft drop on the edge of a mountain, but fantastic nevertheless.
Our guide David was a real wise guy and the cameraman Lorenzo as well. Some of the antics they got up to was real good fun. For anyone thinking of taking the safari a word of advice; it’s a long day in the sun so take plenty of water and wear a hat. And don’t wear white.
The dolphin/whale trip was also brilliant.
Before you leave, take a trip into Puerto Rico and take a trip on the big red! It’s only a 20 min ride but well worth the money. And you get very wet!
The bar staff at the Mirador could do more to smile at times. Fran always had a smile.
Overall I thought our stay at the Mirador was very good and I would recommend it to anyone. I will def be back again.

Wonderful holiday, hotel spotless and in a nice location. Been to Gran Canaria many times and this is def the best hotel we have stayed in.
Love the beach and surrounding restaurants, didn’t go to any in house entertainment as no kids with us.
Like the Europa Centre - quieter than the Commercial Centre and less pushy.
El Brasero- best steaks, Valentinos for a bit of everything, Biblos Bar for the friendly Jose and lovely G+Ts.
Booked to come back in 2007- cant wait- even though the teenagers will be in tow!

This holiday was definitely one of the best we have ever had, thanks to the faultless accommodation's. The staff especially Becki and the wonderful people we met when we stayed there July/August.
We stayed at the Mirador del Atlantico for 2 weeks and the complex was very clean and well looked after by the staff.
The apartments were spotless with the maids in every day apart from their day off. It is situated in a good location within easy reach to the lovely beach and within walking distance to Puerto Rico.
The weather was really hot, so plenty of sunbathing for the ladies (and men).
The entertainment was fab thanks to the wonderful Becki, who on her own works very hard to make sure everyone enjoys themselves at the Mirador, with plenty of activities during the day and evening shows and games for the kids and(big kids). She is great with the kids and has always got time for them making sure they are having fun and enjoying themselves.
She's fantastic at her job and all the credit has to go to her. If the kids are happy then you can relax and enjoy your holiday. My daughter loved Becki, helping her out with the bingo and games. Kids will never get bored here.
A special thanks to all the people who stayed there from last week in July and 1st week in August who joined in all the fun and helped make it such a great holiday from dancing on the stage to doing the conga around the pool etc, dare I say more! What a holiday.
This place we would definitely recommend to families and those who want an enjoyable, relaxing holiday.

My stay at this hotel was amazing! A huge thanks to Becky she is the best she made my holiday.
Becky got everyone up on the stage and dancing. There is something for everyone. This is the best holiday I have been on and definitely am coming back to the hotel. I fought that the games room was amazing with the pool tables.
The pool is absolutely lovely. Everyone that was at the hotel when I was there were so kind and miss everyone so much. Especially Becky. Sarah, Steph, Chrissy, Steve and Danny!

My sister, her husband, myself and my husband & our two boys (8yrs and 2yrs) booked this holiday 4 weeks before we went as we had to cancel our original holiday. We were pleasantly surprised as we pulled up to the hotel, we arrived in the early hours of the Sunday morning & were thrilled to be first dropped off by the coach.
After we checked in we were given directions by the nice gentleman at reception of how to get to our room. It was quite a way and we had to use 2 lifts and walk quite a distance, passing the pool to get to our room which we didn’t mind it was the fact that the hotel had energy saving switches on all lights outside of the apartments, in pool bar toilets and around the pool. which meant they would automatically switch off after about 5 mins, but the lights up to our room and around by the play area didn’t work so we had to fumble around in the dark we mentioned it to the rep next morning and she said she would take care of it, some other guests arriving had mentioned this problem too, next night they were all working. Entering our room we found it was absolutely spotless and we had everything we needed even a separate bedroom off the sitting room (the view was lovely overlooking Amadores beach).
The maid changed the towels and beds everyday but a Sunday. The main problem we had was the barriers around the hotel were dangerous there was no barrier in front of the stage where the children were encouraged to sit when there was entertainment on (which was every night except Monday- highly recommend Naughty Nigel very funny great family entertainment) and there was about a 4- 4.5 foot drop. The barriers that were around the hotel were just rows of wires nothing solid where the pool bar was there were a few steps which lead on to the pool table area and there were a number of children who climbed on these wire barriers with a 15-20 foot drop below.
Food at the pool bar was very poor you would be ok if you liked chips, but even those weren't very nice, you are unable to order the children’s meals unless you are a child (who had a better menu than us). Pedro the bar attendant was fantastic very friendly and Jose was very nice too but many of the guests mentioned that the other attendants were very rude and miserable very rare did they say please or thank you. Danny the entertainment organiser was great got all kids and adults involved in water polo, mini golf, archery etc. really nice lad.
If you are looking to go somewhere from here for a night out we recommend the commercial centre(3-4 euros in taxi)although you get hounded everywhere you go in Puerto Rico to go into restaurants, the Fiesta Bar is good they have a quiz bingo and an act on most nights, the Europa centre is not as big but is more expensive but Barbacoa is a good night out, if you go along Amadores beach there is a couple of nice restaurants La Costa and Ciao Ciao are really nice.
We met some lovely people here and had a good time but we were a little far out from everything, if you like walking this is a good place to be just as long as you don't have to push a buggy. The coastal walk along to Puerto Rico is nice and takes about 30-40 mins. The Mirador Del Atlantico is by far the best hotel we have stayed in.

This holiday was the best holiday i have ever had! The apartments were clean and so was everything else.
Our entertainer Bekki was really helpful and put on lots of games everyday. Bless ickle Bekki she was on her own and did a wonderful job. At the night time I always went to Puerto Rico town center where there is a lot of night life. Our favourite place was la fiesta.
All the staff there are very helpful and would do anything for u. Also the bar MGM was really good and every one spoke true English. I would definitely go here again.

Just returned from a fantastic weeks stay at the Mirador. We found the hotel very clean and the room we stayed in was very comfortable with a great view over the bay.
The in house entertainment by Becky and Leanne was second to none. They went out of their way to ensure that we had fabulous time without being pushy and kept us entertained by the pool and of an evening.
Enjoyed the holiday so much we shall return next year.
