Well what can we say!
We had a fantastic holiday at Stelios Stalis apartments - Paradise! Apartment was spacious, clean and had a lovely view from the balcony (room 210).
Andreas and the rest of the Motley Crue were great. His pool games were classic and bingo was certainly different (mate wobble)! Had far too much Raki, but have brought some home none the less, thanks to Andreas! The rep, John, was helpful and reliable.
Met some great characters. They know who they are baby! Enjoyed the karaoke evenings, especially Harris & Costas' version of Wooly Bully!
Have decided that we are hopefully returning next year as it was such an enjoyable two weeks.
Thanks to Andreas and all the staff.

This was our second time around at Stelios Stalis and we had an even better time this year! We had a fantastic welcoming from Andreas and all the other staff. Everyone really friendly including Nicos!
Breakfast lovely especially the fresh orange juice and the rooms are spotless and the view was out of this world!
Andreas had brilliant entertainment with the famous bingo and the treasure hunt and there is so many nice places to eat you are always stuck for choice our favourite especially was Yannis.
We will be back very soon for another fantastic holiday! One word of warning! Do not book any trips or visits with the Olympic rep they over charge and don’t have the best deals instead go to Stalis and book with the travel agent it is so much cheaper!

Well the holiday itself was excellent but I was disappointed with the way things were handled, firstly the cleaners would just barge into the room without warning. Also as me and my family were leaving at 2:00pm we had to be out of our room at midday which left us with nowhere to shower and get ready. The showers which they do provide were below par, for the whole group of people who were leaving on that day there were only two showers which is outrageous.
There was also constant slamming of doors which was extremely annoying, one or two good things was the breakfast and that’s about it. The drinks and food are over priced and the swimming pool has more salt in it than the sea itself. I recommend that you eat at Maria's Golden Beach, The people at the Robin Hood are very friendly once you get to know them and that became our second home.
I recommend that you go elsewhere and don't go near the Stelios Stalis Apartments in the foreseeable future.

My partner, three year old son and I went to the Stelios apartments not really knowing what to expect. On arrival all the staff are very welcoming, ensuring that they get to know everyone on a first name basis. Andreas, Harris, Poppy, Nikos, Kostas etc all work so hard it’s unbelievable.
The apartments themselves were very good. Although basic they had everything you need, hob, oven, microwave, fridge / freezer etc etc. There is also a TV with sky (well, sky news + CNN and that’s it). We did have a slight problem with ants in the room but spoke to Andreas who sorted it out straight away.
The bar facilities on site are very good and the food is first class. We ate at the bar a few nights and always had a good meal. The same could be said of the whole resort as the food was outstanding and very reasonable. The drinks here (as with the entire island) are slightly more expensive than I have experienced before with bottles of beer/alcho pops €4. The draught beer is mythos which isn't too bad.
One word of warning would be the roads here with the amount of quads and scooters. It really is hazardous and having a young child there you are constantly on edge holding onto them.
Of the two pools we preferred the lower (quieter pool) as our son had more room to do his own thing in there. The top pool was great laugh but more suited to the large groups that were there during our stay.
Although the staff were excellent with our son for the two weeks, we couldn’t help but feel these apartments were more suited to young and lively groups rather than people with small children as no real children’s amenities (bar a small very basic park) exist. Most days we would leave the apartments to find things to do with star beach (a 25 min stroll away) a great place for all age groups.
We also met some great people during our stay which really made the holiday. Firstly Claire and Ryan who we met on the Cretan night, they were a lovely couple and really had a lot of time for Bailey our son. Also Scott (the jock) and Evelyn along with Vic and Carole too were really nice.
We found our cleaner slightly abrupt in coming into the room in the mornings. A swift knock as they enter is as much warning as you get so be wary while getting dressed / undressed (we ended up keeping the key in the door when locked although at this they just keep banging the door till you open it).
Overall we would have no hesitation in recommending the Stelios apartments to anyone although if travelling with small children you may want to look at somewhere slightly more child friendly.

Me and my partner Kate booked this holiday after searching on the internet for a bargain holiday and the only prerequisite was sun and relaxation. However, we got a lot more than we bargained for.
Through the day you get the option of pool games and plenty of fun or to laze around soaking up the sun. In the evenings, there is plenty to do in the pool bar and in Stalis, Hersonissos or (if you feel like it) Malia. As the pool bar is open all day and night you can get anything to eat or drink whenever and staff are always friendly and helpful and always in high spirits even though they work very long hours.
There are just too many positives to list (although winning the bingo twice was a bonus)! There is just nothing we can fault, staff, apartments, Stalis, weather, food and drink were all perfect and just what we were looking for. The icing on the cake was the complex manager Andreas who's enthusiasm ensures there is never a dull moment at Stelios Stalis and makes absolutely everybody feel welcome and involved.
The biggest positive of all was the weird and wonderful array of people we met. Such as Damien and Jill, Irish Mark & Family, Ritchie baby & Family, Mo & Roy (Table Tennis Twins) & Families, Rav & Family, Tom etc. All round fantastic holiday.

We had the best holiday ever at this hotel. The hotel was fantastic. The staff were very welcoming and friendly.
Stalis itself was perfect with its nice restaurants and decent bars. then you had the town of malia about 10mins drive away. andreas the manager was great. was very friendly funny and welcoming. he didn’t stand for any messing either. the room (312) was great as well. Airconditioning was good. the view was nice over the sea.
Andreas hosted some fun nights too.bingo night.karaoke.quizes and games. Me and the wife had the best time there as well because we met some really nice people from Birmingham. and our own town of Leicester (loughboro) the best night was when Italy won the world cup! and we all got involved. I even splashed out on champagne (which is a 1st) come on!
You had a choice of 2 pools but we preferred to stay around the larger one as andreas played games in the day and I always got involved. The staff were brill as well.as I said very friendly and welcoming. and even joined in the karaoke (bully bully).
We are definitely going back next year and can’t wait to see everyone again. Thanx for an awesome holiday.

Stelios Stalis is a great place to have your holiday.
We went as a big family group of all ages and enjoyed a wonderful two weeks at this resort. Stalis itself is a beautiful little place with lots to do, and a mixture of things to keep every age group entertained. For the more adventurous Malia is only a 10 euro taxi away as well.
The accommodation is very good, with lots of space and decent facilities for those who wish to cook whilst there. The staff at the apartments are fabulous and can’t do enough for you whilst your there. Andreas Baby is a fabulous host and makes bingo actually a good laugh once you have your head around how it works! The karaoke is a good night and the Cretan evening is also a very entertaining night too.
The best thing I found there though was how it struck the right balance of not being too small, whilst not too big neither. This resulted in everyone knowing each other but getting on really, really well. The combination of a good hotel, great host and wonderful people meant that I made some good friends who I would hope will stay in touch for many years to come.
The reason I can’t give it a higher score than 8 is the way we were handled at the end. Having a flight at 05.30 local was bad enough, however we had to check out of our room by 12:00 and that left us with the final day having no where to go to change or shower. If you were to book this as a holiday I would highly recommend getting day flights as you will spend an entire day on a sun lounger unless you are fortunate enough like we were to meet some wonderful people who will let you use their room. Even with a 3 year old boy I was stuck with no where for him to have a kip or change, and I found the Olympic rep was quite unconcerned by the problem which overshadowed a great time.
The hotel and staff were excellent mind and the holiday is highly recommended, I would certainly go there again, though maybe not with Olympic and definitely at better flight times.
To all those we met, you were fabulous baby and hope to see you again.

Oh what a holiday!!. First time I have cried on leaving a place. I did not want to leave.
The view from our room (226) was spectacular day and night.
Andreas was larger then life from the word go. Wherever he gets his energy from it should be bottled. From seeing him in the morning to late at night (and it was very late some nights) he was always there for you. From the crazy pool games in the afternoon, Karaoke in the evening (Costa's & Harry’s Woolly Bully must be heard - but don't give up your day jobs!!!) to his "unusual" bingo game-"wink wink I’m at the brink"!!! - MECCA bingo will never be the same!
Costas - thank you for the lovely long island ice tea cocktails (highly recommended) at night and to Georgina for the much needed black coffees in the morning, and to all the staff there who bent over backward to make your stay fantastic.
Daniel, Steve and myself meet some wonderful people including Mo (the motivator) and family - Roy & family who for them it was their 2nd time in a row.
Richie "BABY", Christine , Kevin, Kirsty, etc will write to all soon. John our rep, sorry, our friend was brill too. Always on hand if you needed him.
Stalis centre was just a 10 min walk along the sea front. You must eat at Taverna Maria and also the Robin Hood. From there you can paraglide, jet ski etc.
I could go on forever but as Andreas says "We had a lovely time in Crete, a lovely time in Stalis but most of all a FANTASTIC time in Stelios Stalis Apartments "PARADISE" Hope to see you all next year XXX

Perfect holiday....... The apartment was spotless as was the rest of the hotel and pool area. We stayed there for one week and Andreas the hotel manager went well out of his way to make it a fantastic time. The resort is also without fault .... I will not ramble on as you get the general idea!
Needless to say we will see you guys soon on the 8th of September 2006 (that’s proof enough!) Wouldn’t go anywhere else ;-)

Myself and my family have just returned from a wonderful 2 week stay at the Stelios Stalis Apartments "Paradise". We had a great time. All the staff were fantastic especially the manager Andreas who seems to work all the hours you can possibly work but all of the staff are always on the go.
My children Samantha and Kieran had a great time. The staff go out of their way to make the kids feel welcome and have a great holiday too. The situation of the apartments is great with it being a lovely walk into the town of Stalis but you are away from the noise of the town. The rooms were spacious and clean. It was one of the longest holidays I have experienced. I felt as if I was there for a month.
I would recommend anyone who has not been in Crete before to book these apartments. My husband was wary about going at first as this was our first time in Crete and he saw the picture of the apartments in the Olympic brochure and also the cost of the holiday as we normally pay quite a bit more. The picture of the Stelios Stalis Apartments does not give them justice Olympic.
The pool games Andreas has set up for everyone, if they want to, each day are hilarious and fun for both adults and kids. Everyone gets on really well. The evening entertainment and games are equally hilarious and fun - especially Andreas' version of bingo - this is a must.
All in all an excellent holiday and would not hesitate in going back.
Thanks once again to Andreas, Harris, Costa, Nico and the rest of you.

What a fantastic holiday! My stay at Stelios Stalis was absolutely wonderful and I could not fault a thing.
The greeting from reception upon arrival made you feel so relaxed and welcome that it was just a great start to the holiday.
The apartment that myself and my friend Vicky stayed in was really nice, it was clean, tidy and spacious and had everything that we needed. The best thing was our superb view from the balcony, it was just picturesque.
The resort of Stalis was nice, full of the normal bars, restaurants and shops as you would expect, but nice to wander round. Our holiday rep John was a nice man, who had loads of knowledge about the Island, and was always chatty and on hand if you needed anything.
The staff were wonderful, and it was so easy to get to know them and have a chat to them, and Costas makes a fantastic cocktail! From reading all the other reviews the main person I have to mention is Andreas, he was always on the go, constantly busy, but always found time to talk to you and get to know you. He is a fantastic entertainer, and always puts a smile on your face, plus he'll talk you into going to the Greek night which has a great barbeque, lots of music and dancing, which you can join in with and you also get to know the staff a lot better. It was a brilliant atmosphere and such a laugh, it was the best night I had. I'm glad his cheeky way made me go.
The food avaliable in the bar was really good and the have Greek specialities everyday which was nice and the prices were very reasonable.
I can not think of a bad thing to say about this place and can't wait to go back there!
Thanks to Andreas and all of the staff for the wonderful holiday, Suzie xx

I have just returned from a week at Stelios Stalis and had a fantastic time there. We were very lucky to be in the apartments with an amazing sea view. We arrived in the early hours of the morning but still reception opened up the bar for us to buy water as all shops nearby were closed.
There are 2 pools both very salty. The main pool although quite small for the number of guests doesn’t get too busy until the afternoon. Andreas (The Manager) gets everyone going with games around the pool. The pool bar/restaurant is excellent, a lot of choice and good value for money, best Tzatziki in town! We were there for the Greek Night, would definitely recommend it, lovely food, good entertainment and a good chance to get to know other guests.
Stalis as a resort was perfect for us, very relaxed but everything you needed on your doorstep. The apartments are a little out of town, which we felt was a good thing.
We spent a lot of time on the beach, for as little as a few Euros you have 2 sunbeds/umbrella for the day. The sea was lovely and clear, beach quite cramped but didn’t really bother us at all.
The apartments are less than a ten minute walk downhill to all the bars & restaurants. We ate at Maria's after reading the reviews, we were not disappointed. All the bars are very similar providing the usual local beer and cocktails. We were recommended a restaurant called Creta, its about 25-30 minute walk through Stalis on the left handside.
It has a large deck on the sea front, away from al the hustle and bustle of the town. Amazing service and fantastic Greek food but, it was our favourite place by far.
I would definitely consider going back to Stelios Stalis PARADISE!
