we had read the first review just before we left and were anxious about the accommodation ! wow what a lovely surprise it is truly idyllic and peaceful we would
recommend it to anyone looking for a secluded holiday! `it dose exactly what it says
on the can`we gave it 9 out of 10 and that is being conservative .
The pool is great ,as is the setting, the lane down to the villa is tight so a small car is fine.

We booked the accommodation knowing it to be advertised as in a remote but romantic location.
It certainly is remote, even to the point that you cannot drive your car anywhere near without causing damage to vehicle of any type!
The villa is a poor state, it took us a couple of hours to clear the outside area of old bits of wood etc, it seemed as if it had not been tended for months. The grass in the picture was nowhere to be seen, just muddy dust. The pool was so cold I had to have a shower after being in for 10 minutes (I was told that was normal).
The wc and sinks drain into a tank in the garden, the smell at night was unbearable! There is an electronic rodent deterant in the villa that emits an annoying click, but it did not stop the local mice from visiting now and then.
The bed was the most uncomfortable ever, worse than Greek budget!
Mosquitoes and insects in abundance, preying mantis on my head from over bushy vegetation. All this in 4 nights, we left and booked into a hotel in Calvi.
Even a free bottle of wine and air fresheners could not get us to go back. Had to pay an extra 700 euros for hotel. Have complained without any luck. My advice,STAY AWAY!!!!! Don't be fooled by video.

We fell in love with this property when we saw the on-line brochure and booked straight away. We were not disappointed. The building was beautiful and rustic. Garden was peacefull and secluded, pool was clean and like a bath with the temperature arround 28C (82F) and was filled when necassary from the mountain stream at the bottom of the garden, so no clorine or other smells. We han no problem with either rodents or smells. The bed was fine and the property was spotless. The owner, next door, did not intrude at all and presented us with some peppers and tomatoes, picked from his garden, when we arrived.
All in all a perfect spot to get away from it all. We loved it so much we jokingly said to the tour rep that we wanted to buy it. I wish we had because, unfortunately, I cant find it in any brochure for next year.
