L Hacienda Luis Apartment

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hacienda Luis. It has a large and comfortable lounge, large kitchen/diner, and a large main bedroom with a huge built-in wardrobe so plenty of storage space. The second bedroom was rather small in comparison with limited storage so best suited for children.
The pool was just a few steps from our front door screened by cypress trees, and was a real delight, set in a nice garden with plenty of loungers and a couple of huge sun shades for relaxing under.
The long sandy beach was about 12-15 mins walk away, but as a car was included, we often drove down and parked (free) under trees to save our legs for the lengthier stroll into Calvi centre in the evening. This was a good 40 -45 minute hike each way. Even then we couldn’t face that walk every day and so ate in several nights, but this was not such a chore as it was very pleasant having a candle lit meal and drink on the patio area. All in all it was a great place to stay and Calvi and the surrounding area had plenty to see and to explore. Examples being a trip to the mountains, walk around Bonifato forest, exploring Calvi Citadelle, visit to Ile Rousse, and some of the smaller bays in between.
