Great Hotel, peace and quiet and fantastic swimming pool. Rooms spacious and the staff are more than willing to go that extra mile to make sure your holiday is what you wish for. Beha the owner great fun, use of English language very amusing. Food excellent especially the Sea Bass and Steaks. Barbeque very good value and excellent food. Wanted to stay longer and will return next year.
Beach not very good nearby.
Fantastic place to stay.

  • Advice: Cheap car hire if booked directly with the Hotel. Visit Escape Beach.

Accommodation was clean and tidy, but...
5 / 10
Aug 2007, Mrs D Smith

Accommodation was clean and tidy, but do not use the mini bar as prices are at least three times more than the supermarket a few minutes away. Also we were totally disgusted to be charged for the little coffee sachets, tea bags and sugar that was left next to the kettle which we took as complimentary...NO such thing.
The walk into Kyrenia is approx 40 mins, Dolmus runs every 30 mins and the last one is at 19.30 hrs... Taxis plentiful though after that.
Restaurants worth visiting near to High Life were the Stroll Bar Inn. Excellent value and quality - also Tanners Bar.
Overall this was our most expensive, overpriced, nothing-to-do holiday..

Great relaxing holiday. Under 16's...

Jul 2006, Mr R McNeil

Great relaxing holiday. Under 16's are not encouraged at this hotel. The apartments are basic but clean and serviceable. A small hotel with approx 35 rooms. Prices locally are very good for most items, cold drinks, water, coffee etc. So don’t use anything from the provided mini bar the charges in the hotel are high. The staff are very friendly and will go out of their way to make your stay most enjoyable. Car hire can be arranged on arrival with the owner of the hotel who has a number of vehicles for hire. Rates are similar to those in the books and advertised locally.
A small shop is located about 400 metres away for papers etc with a supermarket about 1 mile from the hotel. A selection of places to eat are close at hand with very reasonable prices. Avoid eating at the harbour in Kyrenia as not only are the prices vastly inflated but the meals are not all that high a standard.
Things to do: Hire a car and take a trip to Famagusta to see the ghost areas (no cameras allowed and they mean it), travel slowly up into the panhandle over the mountains on the way back. Roads are not great but OK with a bit of care and common sense.
A must is a meal (if you like steak) at the Stonegrill to the West of Kyrenia centre.
Get a great look alike of a Rolex for £10 (still going after a year and keeps perfect time).
Go up to St Halarion castle (on the road from Kyrenia to Nicoseia) Views are great, take lots of water and good strong shoes it is a climb and a half.
Overall a great holiday.

Found staff friendly and helpful...

Jul 2006, Mrs J A  Montgomery

Found staff friendly and helpful though messages from Tour Rep were not passed on. (Only his word he left them however).
If you don't like or are allergic to cats it won't suit you there were 16 when we were there. They are well cared for and don’t really bother you unless you encourage them. You really need to hire a car as it is quite a walk into Kyrenia.
Our room was clean and Mary, the maid, kept it in good order and always with a smile. All in all an ideal base for couples as it is very quiet. If you fancy a meal out I can recommend The Courtyard and it is within walking distance.

This is superb accommodation would recommend this to anyone. Was only 24 rooms however they are really nice. Staff, owners everyone could not fault.
The beach though is not private and is pebbly but the pool is great and it is not far to another beach (about 2 miles) this has a bar (with friendly owner).
Restaurants in Kyrenia are great (especially the Brasserie). Can’t recommend TRNC enough - very quiet but great.
