A privilage to stay at the home of Family Clavero
from Truleigh
This was a part holiday, part home hunting vacation. We are looking for a Cortijo (small farm) in Andalucia to live in the sun most of the year and escape the cold wet winters of UK. The interior or Andalucia is beautiful and the countryside around Ronda is spectacular. Finding a good standard country hotel that would accommodate our 2 chocolate labradors would be tricky but we were fortunate to find Hotel Molino del Arco, initially through a renowned Hotel Guide which gave a good report and presentation. A few emails later and we were...

Does not meet its billing
from worldtraveller007
Does not make its 4 star billing. A magnificent building with large grounds with lots of potential. We visited in January when the grounds were not maintained, with stagment water in the water channels and pools. There were service issues in the hotel with one young lady attempting to both serve the restaurant and look after reception. Our room was huge, but cold( decoratively speaking), unwelcoming and uncomfortable. The beds were a major disappointment , with thin latex mattresses on metal and wooden slat bases, all hidden...

A hidden gem
from Cricket6302
The Hotel Molino Del Arco is perfect for a for a romantic getaway and R&R but it's not for folks who are looking to be in town. (Note: A car is absolutely necessary if you are staying here.) At first, we were surprised by how far outside of Ronda this hotel was (they say 8 km but that feels much longer when you are mostly on a dirt road) and in fact the directions on the web site are close to useless for finding the place. But after having to stop at another hotel to get more specific directions driving and driving down a dirt road...

What a pleasure
from tokelosh
We stayed at this wonderful and friendly hotel at the end of May. The huge suite we were in was extremely comfortable. The furnishing and appointments (lovely paintings too) throughout this charming small hotel were exquisite. The spacious grounds around the buildings and the general layout of the place made it feel like living in someone's large hacienda. The food in the dining room was very very good. Above all, the Owner and all of the staff, especially Carien, made our week long stay most pleasant and enjoyable. It was like...

Fabulous hotel
from darcyswann
My husband and I stayed at this hotel in June for 9 nights. We chose to stay so long following some of the nice comments and the pictures on the web. We wanted to tour around the area, without having to move from hotel to hotel. Although, some of the sights are 1 hour plus away, we still found this preferrable to packing and uppacking. We visited, Seville, Granada, Ronda, the Coast and some of the little villages. We had an amazing time at this hotel, the rooms are as pictured on the internet, and beautiful. They have wi fi in...

Not a 4-star experience!
from A TripAdvisor Member
My girlfriend and I travelled to this hotel for a long weekend at the beginning of May. We read some of the reviews and checked out the hotel web site before booking, so we expected a weekend of pampering in 4-star accommodation. What we found was a hotel with a lot of potential, but with a few service problems. EXTERIOR: The hotel is situated down a 0.5km dirt track and about 5-7km from Ronda. It's been open about 2 years and from the outside it didn't look bedded into the countryside yet (there were no trees or bushes growing around...

Gorgeous hotel
from EPR003
My boyfriend took me here as a special treat for my 30th birthday, and we couldn’t have had a better time. Our room was beautiful, spotlessly clean with stunning views of the mountains from the open windows, and from our little balcony. The bathroom was also lovely with an efficient shower and really nice shampoos and body lotions. The hotel has wi-fi access too so we could continue to use our laptop in the room, which we liked. All the staff were so helpful and friendly and we felt really spoiled. They are keen to ensure that you...

nice but far away
from llaura
the hotel is very nice but is a little far away from Ronda (you always need the car) In summer is very hot outside (thera aren´t any trees) The first floor is noisy because is too cloose to the recepcion and to the restaurant (by the way the food is excellent) . Staff is very friendly. Is nice but next time i will prefer to stay in town
Access is a problem but had a good night's sleep

Have just gone on a short weekend getaway to Ronda- as we had always wanted to see it. Booked this one because all other 4 stars inside Ronda were fully booked on short notice. The hotel is located 7km outside of Ronda in a rural setting. I have to agree with the previous reviewer, finding the hotel was not easy - once you find the turn off from the road going toward Sevilla from Ronda the hotel is actually buried in a maze of narrow roads and the signage is not adequate. On arrival it appeared that the hotel was a little under staffed....

Andalucian Hospitality At It's Best!
from A TripAdvisor Member
We have just returned from our Honeymoon in Andalucia – the first three nights of which was spent at the wonderful Molino del Arco. You will need a car to get there and get around during your stay (however taxis to and from the hotel to Ronda are no problem), the hotel is hard to find (at least it was at 1am!), a good 15/20 minutes off the main Ronda/Seville road on a not always well signposted narrow road/dirt track (whatever you do don’t worry, you’ll get there eventually). From the minute we arrived we couldn’t have...
