Casablanca Hotel

Hotel was clean and tidy and the staff were friendly but the service was appalling. We did not eat in the hotel after the first day as the food was awful. Building work was going on opposite which started at 9am and finished at 7pm. Do not stay if you are under 60.

We have just returned from a most relaxing holiday @ Hotel Casablanca. The hotel is well run and very friendly. The staff were able to converse with guests from several countries and were always very pleasant and patient. The airconditioned bedrooms are spacious and extremely clean(the bedlinen was changed every other day and towels every day) The hotel is situated off the main road but is within easy walking distance of the central area and sea. I would throughly recommend the Casablanca as a base for seeing the Algarve

Just returned from staying at casablanca inn in monte gordo,eastern algarve. Found the hotel very clean and staff friendly. This hotel is ideally suitable for couples and older people. There is a good choice for breakfast and you can buy an evening meal for 6.95 euros. This end of the of the algarve is ideally suitable for day trips to spain. I would highly advise the day trip to seville (about 25 euros)and also getting the ferry to ayamonte(1.20 euros each way p.p.) Also good was a cruise along the gradiana river to alcoutin and back.

Small and very friendly hotel. No building disturbances and in a good position in the resort near to, but not surrounded by, the many restaurants, shops and blocks of apartments in the pedestrianised centre. Drawback was the noise of local children playing in the square at night till late and busy bar- it was the Portuguese holiday! Quiet rooms found at pool end of hotel. Bonus points- lots going on along the front at night, good choice of eating places and very quiet pool area to chill out during the day. Overall value for money, but not really 4*

We were at the hotel last week, we found it a friendly enough hotel and the staff were normally very helpful, the rooms were kept clean although they were a very basic accomadation. The food was a bit hap hazard at times, some times we got served when we went in and other times the staff seemed to forget we were there and we had to wait a long period of time before getting served as were other guets's. Across the Road from the hotel some 20-30 feet away may be if that was a building site , which caused some cossidrible noise from early morning. The staff though were pleasant enough and the girls on the hotel reception were lovely and very helpful. We never did see the manager properly although we did see a very miserible man walking in and out of an office who we took to be the boss. The hotel is listed as a 4star hotel and I am afraid if it reached a 2star hotel it was generous. But althe same we enjoyed our stay.

Booked hotel through internet Holiday company, wasn't expecting great things. Stayed in hotel June 2004 - was very pleased with hotel. Monte Gordo itself in early June is very quiet. Great beaches. Staff in hotel are v. friendly, b&b food is superb. Clean hotel, we had maid service every day which was a pleasant surprise. Only downfall is the darinage system as with everywhere is noisy so when someone is showering the other side of the hotel you can hear it. If you want to stay in a small cosy unique hotel, this is the place. Not a place for children more for couples.

I booked a "last minute" week in Portugal and I was fortunate enough to be booked into this hotel. It is only a small hotel but the friendliness of the staff and the overall quality of the service and food was excellent. It also has an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, not very big but perfectly adequate. I considered it to be great value for money and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a smaller type hotel.

We booked a long weekend break at Casablanca Hotel for 84 euros each and had a wonderful weekend. Decor in rooms is charming and the staff were helpful and friendly. Food was varied and good. An excellent value for money weekend. Will book again.

We arrived later than expected due to flight delay, so it was late eveing. We were only five mins in our room when door went. To our surprise we were given a tray of sandwiches and juice. The rooms are nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. Maid service was every day. Meals in hotel were lovely with plenty of choice and all with waiter service. Hotel is situated in a quiet square very close to the large stretch of beach, and all local amenities. If you want a quiet relaxed place to go for a break, this is the place to go. I highly recommend the Casablanca Inn Hotel for your holiday in Portugal.

This is a small hotel and the pools are small. The service, food and friendliness of the staff was excellent. A lovely part of the Algarve.
