A very clean (except for stained (not dirty) carpets in the communal areas), a well run hotel. Great for young families as the entertainment was very family orientated. Pool could be bit bigger but then again, I could be lot smaller! it never felt overcrowded though. A... more

We have just returned from 2 fabulous weeks - no sign of any scumbags or chavs! This is a good value 3* hotel which is kept very clean. Yes, the rooms could be bigger, but do you really go on holiday to sit in your room? The food was quite well varied and well cooked with a... more

Hotel is kept clean. That is the only plus point. Pool far to small for the size of the hotel. If you are a chav or on a prison tag you'll probably love it here. We are a respectable family and just 2 days into our 2 week break wanted to come home!! If you like resorts full... more

bargain holiday
went as late deal,2 adults and child, daughter went as a child no entertaintment or activites for her, older than the kids club age groups,in apartment with a double bed which was a blessing, maids were in every day, very friendly place, entertainment at night was good.young children tended to spoil it as they spent the evening running around the place, expensive at the bar for drinks, surrounding area great, didnt want to come home, going back as soon as possible.
absolutely fabulous
we stayed at the Continental Park Hotel August 24th 2006 for 2 weeks. We was a party of 9 all from London,England,, the youngest in our party was 15 years old and the eldest 58years old, we all had a brilliant time,The staff were the best ever,so friendly & helpful in every way,the food was good you had a varied selection mornings & evenings it even catered for veggies with a good selection,,,The reps were THE DAWGS BITS,,,,, they were entertainers without a doubt, they were all great, especially,Twinkly Tasha,Juicy Lucy & Luvvy Liz, thanks guys for making our holiday a good one.The bar staff are the best you will find anywhere on the island, cheers guys. This hotel caters for all ages, yes rooms are small but you only need enough room to get in bed,,,,dont you::::::::: the cleaners do a fantastic job of cleaning the rooms they were spotless.we would recommend trips to the rancho grande it is for the whole family all ages, the boat trips are also good for a nice relaxing time but hope its a calm day......The hotel is situated just across the road to the most cleanest beach ever & the water is so clear its heaven, there is a stretch of shops to browse in if you want bits & pieces. We would recommend this hotel.
Great Family Holiday To Be Experienced.
Excellant for children lots of games to be involved with Water Polo, Tennis , Kids Clubs, night entertainment. Short walk to the beach, it is very sandy and clean , lots of sunbeds for hire , shallow water for miles for small children , beach side bars and cafe's open until very late and NOT full of drunken youths. A very family feel to the whole area with night markets and shops open until all hours. This was our second visit in 2 years first was 2003. It is a very good value for money hoilday and ideal location for young families. Shops local , on main bus route , lots of events and trips to go on from the hotel , Pirates is an absolute MUST around £120 for four but all food and drink free and transport you can not get that in the west end and the show is out of this world. A must visit area for that quiet family vacation
Good for a weeks holiday
We booked a week at this hotel last minute but made sure that it had a kids club. The kids club was great and my son enjoyed the different themes for each days entertainment, there was also entertainment available throughout the day and evening outside by the pool, you could get involved or not - the choice was yours, although by the end of the week the superfamily kids zone was getting a bit tedious (if I hear Aqua or Superman again I'll scream!) but the kids loved it, the evening shows for adults were good, they had a really good Elvis entertainer when we were there. The food in the hotel restaurant was good with a lot of choice and you could avoid chips if you wanted, they had some Spanish dishes too which was a welcome change. The prices in the bar were very expensive, lager 3.70 euros, small bottle of water 1.60 euros and a fruit shoot 2.40 euros but there are several bars only a short walk away. If you want a sunbed by the pool forget it unless you want to be one of the brigade who reserve theirs at 9am and then don't appear until 10.30 - very annoying, the hotel has notices saying you can remove towels after 15 minutes being unattended but we just went to the beach in the morning and then the hotel pool at 4pm when it had quietened down. The beach was a 5 minute walk away and it was lovely and not too busy. The hotel rooms are on the small side as mentioned in previous posts but we spent hardly anytime in the room so it wasn't a problem. All in all if you want a holiday with lots for the kids to do and don't want to venture far from your hotel then this is ideal.
Great For All!
Myself and my husband (no kids!) went to this hotel after booking a late deal. For the money we paid, I would say this hotel was very good! Families with children were really looked after, the kids entertainers were excellent. Yes, I can imagine that it would be rather loud later in the evening if you have a pool side room, so I guess we were lucky being road side which was quiet - we did not hear a thing! The food in the hotel is excellent, a great choice every evening. The drinks in the hotel were well over priced - almost double what you would pay just outside of the hotel - they claim you can not bring food/drink in from outside, but I would recommmed it! The rooms were fine, the balconies may well have been the smallest I have ever seen but they did their job! Overall, I would fully recommend this hotel for people with kids, but it was just fine for the 2 of us too. The beach was beautiful, a short walk across a rather busy road - 7 euros for 2 beds and a parasol for the day - but if you find a spot you like you can actually reserve it for the week at a reduced daily rate.
Not for families
We were sold this holiday as a "Thomson Superfamily" holiday but there really was nothing "super" about it. The rooms were tiny, with appalling views, dirty floors and broken air conditioning units although the maids did come and change sheets and towels every day. The entertainment was held in the evening in the smoky bar area and there was no entertainment by the pool during the day, which we were told there would be. The reps were very unhelpful. The area around the hotel (ie: alcudia) is nice if you have no children but there are no restaurants that have bouncy castles etc for free to play on whilst you eat, if you did find a restaurant with this facility you had to pay! Definately not for families and we would definately not go back there again.
Should have a health warning!
Recently returned from a 'Superfamily' break to this hotel with my wife and one year old child. The pool was too cold for us to use - even at the end of a hot summer - the sea was much warmer and not very far to walk. The entire hotel was smoking apart from the restaurant and one small area of the bar The bar was very smokey meaning all the night time entertainment was not accessible to us, escaping for a night out meant getting through the smokey reception in the evening. I would not take my son out for a night of smokey bingo in this country so why would I in Spain? Family evening entertainment started at 8 and went onto 12 and was pretty noisy when the Thomson 'Entertainers' chose to hold it next to the pool which also happens to be outside half of the rooms. With the mics turned up to 11 it can be a pretty miserable existence listening to someone shout towel in a amusing tarzan style in order to secure said object as a prize. Room was small meaning there was nowhere for my son to play and all surfaces were concrete / tile meaning any trips resulted in a painful tumble. Had we not been sold this break as 'Superfamily' I think we would have been more forgiving of the above but to say the hotel was child friendly takes some explaining. On a positive note, if you are a smoker or smoke tolerant then you will not have any of these problems. The food and service from the Spanish hotel staff is also fantastic so pack those elsaticated trousers. As far as the resort goes then you will find plenty of English Pubs, Spars and plenty of arcades.
super family time
Have to say this hotel is spotless staff are excellent thomson staff are super with the kids , the hotel rooms are small , food is very good but it is good to also eat out when you can , all i can say if you are a family with kids you will all love this place .Alcudia is a good place for a family not all rush rush no drunks running around you feel safe walking around at night will be back next year .
